Most likely you're in different testing groups. Christian explains it here:

TL;DR: some players see one thing, some see something else, and it seems to cause frequent server splits when playing together.

There's some theories on how to get through that cursed door together (most are just random luck from my experience ):

• Go through, get split, wait for a server merge (from personal experience this works, but can take a while).
• Go through the door when it's open for everyone.
• Go through, once split everyone go back Home/Aviary. Return to Eden through the return shrine.
• Go through the first area until the 1st winged light, go back Home/Aviary, use the return shrine to return to Eden, rush through the door to the next area (Krill zone). Only works if you share the homespace (supposedly).

I don't believe you're intended to lose as many as people do, the deer is supposed to save your wings.. but it seems to have its eyes closed.

If you really don't want to lose your WL, try your best to avoid the darkness plants growing around in the intro. Take your time to recharge, players have placed lots of shared spaces around that can help you recharge your light etc. And be wary of the krill.

You certainly have the option to continue finishing all of the spirits. I would recommend that, it has not even been a week since the season release so you will have plenty of time

I suppose the spirits will return as TS inevitably, but that may take months up to years, and you will have to spend your regular candles on those, rather than saving time with your seasonal ones.

No new cosmetics will be added, everything you see has been pretty much finalised.

I suppose you do have the option of just continuing to collect your seasonal candles. At the end of the season, they will be converted into regular white candles, if you collect enough that will be huge

You have to do more season quests to use the item. If it's the deer cape, it's not usable until you finish all seasonal quests, which won't be available for a while.
