they've made several changes to the procedural generation stats since i made that comment a week ago. originally the guide said there weren't any crabs on weak eruptions so my comment then was more to clarify that their intent at the time was the corrupted crabs weren't present.

I barely reached chevron 2 with a double grandma visit. That's supposed to get you just shy of 10 candles with the wax limit. It's just the server issues, affects all wax.

The DDoS is preventing wax counts from updating

Basically each time you grab a bunch of globs, the game tries to tell the server, but the DDoS is jamming all the access points

Give servers time...sometimes it reacts later and register the wax you collected.

As long as you are getting server error popups the wax won't register. If you're able to keep hitting "retry" enough times that it finally goes through and the errors stop, you should be able to collect and have it register until the errors come back again

Possibly, if it registered that you completed the shard event, even if it didn't register the candles for it. It is still possible to do some things in the game, however not everything might work and players are advised to continue with caution because the errors may prevent some things from working correctly

You need to wait for a red shard to land again, the season quests can only be completed with red shard events. Today there are only black shards, so you'll have to wait until at least after the next reset and see if tomorrow has a red shard you can use

It didnt work yesterday bc yesterday was a grey shard! To complete the quest you must complete an red shard event (there is one in ~15 min!)

No problem! And yes :) red shards are harder, and give ascended candles! While grey shards are pretty easy and give you regular wax
