I do think they need to create a “shield” prop or spell so its accessible to more people even if it costs eden candles and would be less reliable

You know I'm not really into this elder masks concept, and season of shattering overall. I mean, it's something new but there is a lot of sharp edges. I think it would be better to invent new mechanics, add more the original story, add more creatures, more to do you know
And grinding isn't a thing that i like to do, and well, no one does. Something that new players amd old players can do

It would make sense if the upcoming map shrines are a way to jump to other points on the map (e.g. in Wasteland, jump from a shrine in Abyss to a checkpoint in Crab Fields/Shipwreck). I hope that’s the case.

Or potentially to go to another map entirely, although that seems more unlikely.

I know it's not right to compare games like that but in genshin i always find something to do. Even without events and abyss, grinding for characters, you have a lot of guests and chests, secret hiden treasures, and a teapot ( i really like tea pot)
Yes come to think of it, adding something new to collect (I'm a kleptomaniac) and create your personal space (there is nothing wrong with shared spaces but it's just not it)

That isn't entirely true: two masks from Abyss came with an extended oxygen timer, and the TGC cape predates all of them in terms of being a non-back cosmetic with some unique game mechanic attached to it

Tgc should just make krill spells and shield spells available at ark. Idr if krill ones are. netease server they have water breathing spells. Global should have same thing but now for shield.

Weren’t we all moths once? Didn’t we just get on with it and learn from our mistakes and fear of the mighty krill? They still scare me a little but let’s not act like new players can’t handle anything when we got through things just fine..

Krill spells can only be gotten during Halloween as a guarantee or randomly through spirits.

Plus they only last a minute.

a krill locking on takes a few seconds and the spell has a delay in activation and a cooldown too

Basically its not really comparable to something that can take damage at any time (as long as the shield is intact) and are reliably rechargable

The krill repellent mostly works by setting an invisible barrier between you and the krills — they still detect you but won't touch and yeet your sky kid. I used to get a few more of the spell during Season of Flight from the blessing nodes.

And oh in terms about the drinking delay animation, it can be bypassed by making your sky kid honk

Biggest issue would be the fact krill spells are purely RNG outside of Halloween im not exactly sure the odds of each spell coming from any node.

If they sold them in ark year-round maybe it would be alright

It would be temporary and would need to be bought over and you would have to place and go close to it to gain its protection.

The elder masks have this but rechargeable and portable so they would still have value.

its the fact that its counterintuitive to give the more seasoned players protection they wont need where a newer player would benefit more from

For me personally, i think the masks allow me to help other players more willingly.

Recently i have been catching myself questioning whether it is “worth” me losing wl to help other players who are struggling. Especially on the way up to eden and now because of the crawl function it makes wounded players even more of a liability imo.

If i had the shield as a vet player i would 100 percent help out people because i know it comes with little to no risk now.

The crawling mechanic really does put a pressure on players to help out and it almost feels like a requirement now whereas before it was a kind gesture. That’s just my take though

Outside of these two things most downed players would be a resulting from krill strikes or crabs the former has a cool down after the strike the latter can be flipped. Theres very little “imminent” danger to help downed players in these situations that you need a shield

That’s what i said… on the way up to eden, people getting hit by rocks or mostly on the last stint with the krill patrolling the entrance to the wl passageway, that’s where i’m struggling to assist people most because the crawling feature takes longer to alleviate and puts your avatar at a direct disadvantage.

Essentially if they got rid of the crawling mechanic and turned it into a hobble instead so we could move quicker to find shelter then they could also get rid of the elder masks too

I would do that! I'm one of those veterans that will go get targeted by krill so that randoms don't get hit.

The silly side to that is sometimes I have come across those players who are trying to lose wings on purpose, so they get mad when I'm rescuing their stars.

Still, grinding ac is very tiring. Eventho for this currency, no one can easily spend bunch of money to get a lot of acs, so everyone kinda have to spend equal effort(?)
It kinda take months to grind enough ac for a mask, I don't think the protection it gives worth it. It's better to just evade danger, bring recharging props

Y’all my friend just came up with a really good idea!!!

What if instead of 6 different masks, there was only one? The isle mask would be the cheapest and offered by the isle elder, once you purchase this base model elder mask you then have the opportunity to upgrade the mask with the next elder and so forth in the order of the realms.

The key part here is that once you upgrade the mask you can switch it’s design to all the previous version of the mask with the same upgraded power? Once you reach the final upgrade you also unlock a 7th mask which is the eden crown.

Ah, if it's no longer showing up in Google Play. It's possible that ur device is no longer supported (this could be the case if your phone is a little older, and TGC raised the minimum requirements), in that case you wont "find" Sky in the playstore, i.e. it won't return any results when you search for it

If you however, go to it directly from here (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tgc.sky.android.test.gold&hl=en&gl=US) on your phone. Then it should open up in the Play Store, there will probably be written something along the lines of "This device is not supported"

I am just brainstorming tho, the cause could be something completely different, I dunno :)

Ahhh I see. Sometimes the Google Playstore bugs out in a way. Can you try to close the Playstore (actually close it, not just tab out of it), reopen it, and search for Sky again?

I did some mobile dev myself in my freetime, and after you release an update. Sometimes it doesn't show up in the Google Playstore. This can happen when you opened the games' store page previously and in the meanwhile a new update got released. In that case the games' store page wont be refreshed and it will still show the "Play" button.
Closing the Playstore completely and reopening it should replace the "Play" button with the "Update" button

This season definitely isn't bad per say, it brought in very interesting and new elements to it but it's just not very interesting to me despite the concept because of the crumbs of lore it feeds us, and as someone who doesn't know much about the lore, the whole thing just feels like a lot of fetch quests. I think the only reason this season would be so memorable to me is because of all the issues that came with it, not because of the seasonal content itself

I would assume it works in a very similar fashion. I just wonder how they will fully implement it. I mean, each area of a level has a "loading zone" with a specific name, so I would assume they just tp us using a similar command as the spell, but change where we load depending on a UI selection. The only compensation I'd ask for would be extending the season by a week. i don't know for certain because i haven't been able to get to sunny forest, but have you looked to the small cave under the bridge where the days of summer umbrella used to be sold? it's most likely there. if it's not, it may not be in this build yet

It might be cool if they kept both. A single stick for roasting marshmallows while you talk to a friend who has a bonfire (then you can also place a prop like a tent). Sticks (plural) for sharing marshmallows with friends at an in-game fire source…?

that was the wrong item and has since been removed. the prop with multiple is the correct item, if you got the one stick you can only access the "new version" of the roasting kit via spells

The Item from the previous build was a singular stick and marshmallow back item

The new build introduced a more finalized version which is a placeable prop that has several sticks with marshmallows so multiple people can hold them

The new version can only be purchased if you didnt purchase the singular stick in the last build, but you can use spells if you got them last build to access the new version

What is the reason that the returned items from Day of Summer are removed? There is a chamber and a marshmallow in event Day of Sunlight, it is very similar to being in nature.
Why did beach stay at home if Day of Summer was removed?

Why's it matter why they want it? It's free, and they get to see new stuff etc. It helps know how much specific stuff will be for the future so they can save candles and hearts or something. In beta testing, it is not for you to just experience the new contents. After you experience the new stuff and contents, what you have to do is not thinking about what u can or can't get. What you need to do is to give feedbacks on the new contents and report the bugs. Some beta players like complaining instead of giving feedbacks and report bugs.

Every game needs proper testing by other people, because the devs can and will overlook game-crashing bugs that can be found by beta testers who both play the test casually and actively look for bugs. It's what Beta is made for. It's not some.... exclusive VIP club. Seeing cosmetics early is a bonus, but should never be the main focus of being a beta tester 😵‍💫

I agree there should be tests and stuff but not everyone sees it that way, there are some little kids om here who like the beta bc they don't have to use money for premium to get exclusive stuff l I'm saying is that not everyone sees I just as testing but a chance to see everything and on the regular game can save for that specific item they want

Playing the game without sending a report directly can still help the devs because they collect some data from there too. Reports help bring up the issue to the table faster and more compact/direct

As long as they abide by Beta Rules, they're good no matter the motive
