Three Events!
0.21.5 will test three events, each with new and returning items. For this build, new items will be available as spells, so please don't panic if they aren't available in trees/in the shop yet.
Days of Color (Days of Rainbow)
This year, we’re excited to expand the scale of Days of Rainbow—bringing it to a special area, creating new activities, and adding features to open new connections among players. As part of all these changes, we’ve also updated the name to Days of Color, similar to the name changes we made when updating summer events last year.
As Days of Color, the event will continue to root deeper into the themes it first celebrated in 2020: coming together to treat each other with kindness, the importance of each of our individual colors, respecting and welcoming the diversity around us, and making the world inside and outside of Sky more inclusive for everyone.
The main activities for Days of Color will be in the Oreo area of Prairie. Platforms have been added for players to charge using different color capes. Charging a color results in Light or potentially color trails, depending on the color being charged. Once all 8 colors can be charged, cool things happen.
※The number of platforms to charge grows during the course of the event—the schedule in beta is set for testing purposes and isn’t the intended schedule in live.
Alongside returning items from past years, a new cape, outfit, and earrings will be introduced for the event. These are planned to be available for in-game currency or as IAP in Live, but for testing purposes these will be available in beta as spells.
Similar to other years, for 2023’s Days of Color we’re also planning a charity element to aid real-world efforts that support diversity. We’ll have more details once we’re closer to the start of the event—stay tuned to our blog, #news, and social media channels!
4th Anniversary
Sky turns 4 this year, so we’re throwing a big dance party in the office! Head to the rooftop to watch some Spirits perform periodically, check out a shiny new dance floor, and also try your hand at a new “sequencer” feature that allows you to record and playback loops of music from a variety of instruments. 💃 Poke around, there’s lots to see!
As for new things to try out, we has them! A new birthday hat,* a bubble machine prop, dancing light, and a plushie will be on hand. For beta testing, spells for these will be available.
*Like other years, birthday hats from Sky’s earlier anniversaries won’t return.
Days of Music
This will be relatively small compared to the other two. In Harmony Hall, additional Spirits will gather to jam with, and they’ll offer some items in their Friendship Trees. More music sheets are in the rotation to try out, and a “sequencer” feature to record and loop music playbacks will be on the 2nd floor to try out.
Two new instruments will be available during the event: a violin as an IAP, and a saxophone for IGC. There will also be a marching band hat for my fellow band geeks out there. And, yes—for beta testing purposes, these will be available as spells.
🗓️ Event Schedule
Because of how the tech works, these events can’t overlap, so we have each one running for 2-4 days to rotate through each. Here is the current event schedule. This is subject to change without warning because, well, Beta:
🌈 4.21-23: Days of Color
🎼 4.24-25: Days of Music
🎂 4.26-27: 4th Anniversary
🌈 4.28-5.1: Days of Color
Etc. All times PDT
Fixes and improvements include:
🔹Two words: Huggable. Plushies.

That is all.
.....Okay fine, there are other fixes and improvements that are probably important too. Beta update post #3 coming soon.
