At edges the baby manta cape as a notable temor while abyss jacket is way smoother. I want the elder manta cape from shattering to have the same stability.

I don't think any capes actually affect flight speed or distance / draft / glide. It's more of an optical illusion made by the animations as you fly with them. Bumbling boatswain's cape feels like it " glides longer " because It is stiff and not jittery or jiggly.
Aside from an optical illusion / perception. There isn't much effect.
Unless a developer said so which idk

The Dev already stated that the rest of instruments release date are getting pushed back. So I guess they will come in the future. I think the IAP items give variations from the previous instruments. I personally wouldn't buy it but there is a market for people who would.

rain / dirty water: same as normal mask, no shield (the shield will not be broken even if the light is fully extinguished)
red shards / crystal crab: protected several times depending on the number of wedges (shield will eventually be broken)
krill: protected only once (shield is broken)

I think the marshmallow snack kit prop should look like a smaller version of these upright sticks (with a few more sticks) when on the back. The current back view (in the new update, not on my AV’s back here) looks strange, a bit too much like bones. Plus, we pull the marshmallows out of our pockets, so they don’t need to already be on the sticks when not in use.

The marshmallow kit is just from the previous build, which they have removed from sunny forest.
There is a bug with the kit. When you use emote or light, the stick would be taken back, but you still have to click return to kit.

Sky-Beta v0.18.5 build 196681: Shield Ability of Elder Mask

Shield is fully restored if it gets enough time without damage before the shield is completely destroyed.

Rain or dirty water or underwater: no shield ability (same as normal mask). Shield is not broken.
Crabs (normal or crystal) and shards: depending on the number of wedges you will be protected several times. Whether the shield is broken or not depends on the remaining energy.
Krill: protects you only once and the shield is broken. Maybe you can avoid it completely once, but that's hard to say, since you only succeeded once.

I like bug hunts but I'm not good at summarizing things like this, so sorry if it's not clear.
