Every other note is higher than that C2 so you’ll be fine lol. The contrabass and the horn can reach C2 if you want to do the harmony

Look up sky music sheets to find them.

It’s mainly just practice and memorization. To start, play some of the music sheets from the base constellations!

Knowings some bit of music theory can definitely help but it's not usually needed if you want to play and transpose music

Just keep in mind that the keys in Sky are all in major keys. That means if a song you wanna play has a sharp (#) note or a flat note (b), it won't be possible to play in Sky. Fortunately, many modern songs are written in major keys so coming across sharps and flats is uncommon

Melodies (the singing part of a song) and chords (the group of notes that support the melody) also don't change even if the key they're in does. That means playing River Flows in You in the key of C major (Key of Homespace) will sound the same even in the key of D major (Key of Vault first floor), just slightly higher

One last thing, Sky only offers three octaves with their instruments. It's possible to transpose some songs with just three octaves but other songs need a bit more creativity to bypass the limitation

That's all I can think of when it comes to playing music in Sky. If you want to start transposing music (making sheet music of an existing song), then knowing how to play melodies by ear is good enough. There's also the app called Sky Music that displays what notes are played in each button depending on what key you use so I suggest using that to practice. Hopefully this helps, have fun with playing music SkyTada

I think the way i did it was that i made quarter notes 1, eight notes 1/2 and so on, and it skip notes to hit the inbetweens and greater

What I'd recommend doing is using an app or web browser composer like Sky Studio or Sky Music Nightly (specy.github) and pulling up a music sheet of some kind in another window. Musescore is good for finding free music sheets you can use! Ofc if you wanna do this you gotta know how to read basic sheet music and know how to find out what key the song you're playing is in... Translations will work better with Major songs rather than Minor songs.

If you play guitar and know what the notes on the fretboard are, find a tab that shows you the base strings and how far down the fretboard the note is (something that kinda looks like:)

E---0
B---0
G---1
D---2
A---2
E---0```
and you can try finding what notes they are and translating it that way... OR you can find the base chords of the song rather than singular strings and translate those instead. (for instance, the example shown above displays the key E major)

You can translate the sheet into Sky music by correlating the notes on the staff to the notes on the instrument you're playing in Sky. Doing this requires a basic understanding of reading sheet music, though.
