for me as far as many maps I have visited now there are no crashes and there is drastic change in lag, I use to face lag in some of map places but now there is no lag and everything is working smooth not sure this is because of beta yet everything is flawless, still complete runs must be done once my phone is charged, but I like the update.

After the Recent Beta Update

I didn't find any Crash at all Maps including Eden

But there still Missing Assets Glitch camera on Sanctuary and a bit Lags on Forest

Overall it is Playable now

No Pixelated things too so Far, even the Waterfall looks normal now

Hmm.. it seem that the problem placed on your Snapdragon build.. i'm not exactly remember where i got that info, but this Snapdragon version have a bit Malfunction on some Games

Including Genshin and few High Graphic game which making some Delay or Lags.

It is said that, even if it already 865, the UI or Phone build is actually still Older than it, so your Device actually not fully supports the Snapdragon itself

I think i got the information from YT when i was looking for New Phone. Something about Phone with 800+ Snapdragon have Glitch or Lags on Games

The other Device with crash are pretty Old but the other that didn't crash are from Poco series (?) So basically it is build for Gaming purpose

Thought i did search more info before buying phones, The M3 series didn't have that Stutters things , but both F3 and X3 have it happen , thought not much

My only suspiscion are. If we have 3 same Device and only 1 or 2 have the Stutter. Then it might be Defect from it is Phone.

As we know that Phone Defect are normal to happen, not only Phone, Ios and other things are the same and these Defect can also affect your experience in Gaming

Ok I tested my Pixel 5 and no stutter even in the biggest areas on every modes. Well done, devs! However what I find interesting that - maybe I'm wrong - it gets a bit more hot on battery saver than on normal mode.

I know that sky usually hits around 120 degrees F after playing for roughly 20 minutes on my device, but I didnt let it go that far on this instance. so prophecy started too early in beta, there was no data for the season. when the countdown reached 0, the cutscene tried to play, but since it didn't exist, you would crash. you could avoid this by flying up immediately and going into a portal without touching the ground. hence, the floor is lava

we occasionally get major bugs like floor is lava in beta. and although i hope they don't happen, since that's a lot more work for the devs, they can make great memories to look back on

Yup and in addition @versed mountain you couldn’t even change your cosmetics either because if you landed on the wardrobe floor you’d crash
So we came up with a creative challenge of putting on the office cape, then flying into vault’s portal all without touching the ground 😂😂😂
And another challenge where you had to enter Eden without touching the ground
I think there’s still a video of someone who recorded themselves doing that XD it was great

I think the bugs have made beta super special personally - remember the whole thing with thoughtful director spirit? A whole bunch of people were stuck on a newer build to test cross playability with switch and couldn’t downgrade the version - and the new version had an issue where you couldn’t relive the spirit

So, it was super cool to see some folks helping out people by offering to hop on and relive it — oh and there were huge issues with teleporting to players too hahaha so it made the whole task of helping even more difficult but fun

It’s so sweet how creative and cooperative people get with bugs in beta haha XD and I guess sometimes enflamed too (I’m looking at you chibi bug)

I’m on ios so I don’t get too much problem with crash in beta like android. But recently my game is acting a little strange. For example: out of no where my candles would be forged even when I don’t touch it (sometimes I was flying), or the shop would pop up as well. Then sometimes my sky kid just keep walking even when I no longer touch the screen. And when I want to stop the walk, I would try to navigate a different path but I can’t, so i have to force close app. It’s happening a bit more often now so I just wonder if anyone else having that problem? Or maybe it’s just my phone acting up I’m using a XR.

all input has some lag, especially the further you are from the sky servers in a geographical sense. it's just considerably more noticeable when you're playing instruments because there's something to compare against (e.g. the timing of the notes in a music sheet, or following along with someone else) i know the music team is still working on improvements, so please keep providing feedback any time a new build/patch has changes.

Yes engineering helps to push the MOTD schedule to the servers, but I'm one of a few people who set the schedule. game development moves very fast and things change frequently. for beta, making sure the MOTD is accurate is a low priority because we're in testing.

Ktjn's post is 10 days older than the post in #news that says the quests will be removed once the season ends, so it could have been the original plan but something may have changed in those 10 days after talking with the LPP estate more.

I would encourage people to complete all of the quests before the season ends, since all of the info that has been released officially (outside of the beta channels) seems to indicate that everything to do with the season outside of the spirits and the Starlight Desert area will be removed once it ends

The quests will stay, but any copyrighted asset will be removed from the core gameplay loop. it's not that the quests are being removed, it's that they will not be experienced in their original capacity after the season concludes. please keep in mind this swap is not happening the day after the season ends, it will be altered in a future patch. likely during the 0.15.x content cycle. what this means for players: get your screenshots and videos recorded and saved, and make any purchases or farm up in-game currency to unlock items before these things go away or undergo changes. It has been brought to our attention that the wording of the #news post about the quests is a bit misleading and have made corrections for communications going forward.

Please note: this doesn't pertain to IAPs or restricted access items/area. items players obtain will not be impacted, those are yours to keep.

crashes are always a risk, if you truly wish to avoid crashes, the only 100% surefire way is to not play, which isn't exactly a fun thing to say, but a reality of game development, whether it's Sky or a big AAA title.

While I empathise the frequent crashes happening with our fellow Android Sky Kids in the live version of Sky at the moment, it is difficult to predict if the bug will carry forward to the live version when content is being released. I truly believe that TGC works very hard to listen to our bug reports and do their best to correct any issues. Best we be patient and wait for a stable bug fix to be announced.

The problem with the black screen and crashing is that on beta, the rate at which these things occurred was within a reasonable expectation of crashes. the unfortunate thing is those same rate were something like triple that of beta which is what caught us by surprise.

bug fixing is always a form of triage, you get things into the best/safest position within the given time frame and then what doesn't make the deadline goes into the next release.

for 14.5 it wasn't a case of "oh we're below thresholds, we can stop trying to fix these things" quite the opposite. we spent the subsequent 3 weeks since the last update to beta continuing to work on solving those issues. that's why we could get a hotfix out in a couple days because we were still working on fixes during that whole span of time.

All spirits are eligible to return as traveling spirits, just because a spirit hasn't appeared does not mean that it can't. unfortunately folks like to make assumptions and assume the worst. As for the China server, TGC has no control over what NetEase decides to schedule for their players. While we have a random schedule on Global, they may choose to schedule specific spirits to fit their plans/needs, but I do not know, you'd need to ask their staff.

but to actually answer your question, timers in sky when for example shows "in 3 days" its usually means 3 days and hours more, but im not really sure too so take this with a grain of salt

during prophecy testing it "started" when it wasnt rlly meant to and assets were missing -- when the cutsecene would start, the QG (default due to Proph QG not implemented) would walk into isle's portal as usual for all other seasons, but when it needed to transition to Cave of Prophecies (also unimplemented) it would crash
touching anything, i mean ANYTHING, in home, would trigger the cutscene and crash
we'd have to flap our way into a portal as quickly as possible til it was fixed
