#general is the main channel of the server. General banter can go here. Only English and German are allowed here.

#german-only is meant for conversations in German only.
#beginner-german is a channel where people can speak German at a beginner level. Everyone is welcome - not just beginners.
#other-languages is where you can chat in languages other than German or English.
#languages may be used to discuss languages/linguistics, or as an overflow channel for when #other-languages is busy.
Learning

#dialects is a channel for discussing dialects within the German language.
Lessons

#study-tasks is where various study tasks provided by volunteers will be posted. Subscribe to notifications (only for certain types of posts) in id:customize.
#thing-of-the-day is a channel where people can share interesting German words, phrases, etc. that they come across.
