those are shards, which appear on different realms at different times. you can burn the darkness plants there and receive either normal wax or even ascending candles and a winged light, if you mediate for the shard memories

Also taking her time is a good idea! Rushing through everything can be tempting because you get stuff fast, but if I could back in time to when I first started playing, I would have taken more time to really enjoy it and look at all the cool stuff. yeah that's kinda strange, honestly the only time i'll shush people is when they're spamming deep calls near me... i keep my volume low so emote sounds don't bother me, but even after they dimmed the deep honk, it still distracts me from what im trying to focus on (not complaining, definitely glad they made it dimmer because OH BOY it was bright before)

That brings me to a recent pet peeve I’ve discovered

If u are at a dye plant, and other players are ACTIVELY BURNING THE PLANT u do not need to spam deep honk

Literally had that happen the other day where some skid was deep honking CONSTANTLY near a dye plant (funnily enough it was a huge plant so his honks weren’t even hitting the majority of the vines) while me and two other players were burning it…like dude

nope, that hint dialog about deep calls is unfortunately not accurate. a call of any scale will make the leaves of the plant shake and speed up the burning BUT

• you only have to do that once per vine. not over and over and over and over and over
