I think it’s fine, generally the chat should be brought back into focus when there are big updates in beta and these updates need to be discussed.
But, looks to me that all the current beta changes are already in live.. hence there is no topic thst is beta specific here anymore... since the build seems to be the same in live

oh it was really quit worthy for me, I was alright when it was in beta because beta (I mean it can be improved)
but:

• rearranging keys means bye months of muscle memory
• music sheet's blue thing gets covered by your fingers so good luck reading it and the timing is even weirder than before
• you can't move or turn the camera or read chat
• ipad's ui is completely broken
  sorry if this was really criticized, this is mostly what everyone said
  also music apps are not formated in the same way as old ui, and they don't have sky music sheets/background music of it

I took one of those when the trials hit live against my pleas to make Air and Fire easier for the average player. It's just a surprise that it hit live in such an unpolished state. If it's still in development isn't that exactly what beta is for? I'm sure it'll be ok in the long run, and personally I like it, but my phone is abnormally long and thin so it's not overwhelming on my screen.

like puffers said a couple of hours earlier, its likely the UI changes were a part of the shared space feature or something similar. which is why they would have to package it and push it together into live for shared spaces to work :/
i mean, who knows, but this is a likely explanation and something i personally am very familiar with when it comes to gamedeving lol

Yeah, seems wider aspect ratio devices don't have the UI issues. My phone is 18.5:9 (A tad wider than the normal 16:9 ratio) and only issue I have is the friend constellation when lighting or gifting a heart, that seems a bit too wide.

Anyone is welcome to quit the game for any reason. I just hope that when people actually quit, they just send a note to the feedback channel, and spare the rest of us the drama. Hyperbole over a bug or feature being cause to quit is the oldest story in gaming.

On the other hand, if a feature or bug is challenging for you, but you don't actually intend to quit, send constructive feedback about what's wrong and how it's affecting you, and then do your best to adapt and deal with it because dev work is sometimes slower than we all like.

My main issue with the updated UI is that all the icons are so small (flame icon when burning plants, icons on constellation table, etc) and it’s OTL sky please I can’t see and I have clumsy fingies

I like the tabs, being able to see friends' names on the edge of the screen so I know they're there without honking, the colored ring when I'm playing music sheets. I do not like the closet ui being off centered and unpolished, the size of the instrument ui, the bouncy text for chat when on the go, and the fact that the emotes menu takes up almost half of my screen now. Just the little things that still need optimization that piled together to create what's happening now. It definitely still needs work and I personally felt like it went out too soon. Hopefully we get to test an updated version soon in beta

That's not that I wanna comment on tgc. The game's ad free, they need to have ways to promote cash flow to earn from the game. What I said earlier about marketing tactics was sarcasm , it's normal for companies to do so anyways . We are already lucky majority of the things in game is obtainable through IGC.

I believe that updates that don't require patches to the app (server updates) are usually done after the Live patches have been sufficiently distributed. So you may want to wait a few days to determine if the Isle murals, etc. have been applied to Live. (Or maybe the mural won't be applied.)

Youre right, I should amend that. I personally dont find it too annoying, I just dont see the purpose of it. It doesnt convey a new emotion and i like watching the fluidity of a finished animation, rather than just jittering around by clicking the screen a whole bunch. i dont think emote spam was purposefully remove, it was just changed when they were changing the UI, leave a feedback at #live-feedback so devs would known and understand why u feel upset over it. Devs dont necessary know what their players do or like to do in the game, so letting them know is the best thing to do.

Some Chinese players are not in beta because they want to help TGC test the game. It’s a way for them to get access to the worldwide version. That doesn’t mean all players who speak Chinese reside in China or don’t have access to the worldwide version/beta. It’s a bit complicated. In any case, having one common language for all reports is more efficient.

Yes, that’s what I said. Because TGC is an American company based in LA, all communication with them is primarily in English, especially for bug reports and feedback. There are communities for Japan and South Korea, but even players in those countries must use English for beta-related stuff, I believe.
@cursive tinsel There is only one official Sky Discord and it’s run by TGC. So all beta invites go through here. Netease version doesn’t have beta.

I know people feel an urge to respond when there are clearly misunderstandings going in both directions, but on a 5 minute slowmode and a channel that's all about beta testing, this isn't the place to resolve those differences. TGC is an inclusive company, and the people who work there are normal, good, kind people. If I had to make a guess, might be the most neutral colour they could choose to match all the possible skin tones in-game since it’s actually part of the hair model, whereas the skin is part of the body/pants section of the sky kid (notice how rhythm pants has darker skin than the default pants)

the switch build uses the same code as the mobile builds, so there aren't two versions of the game.

But maybe your friendships will last if you keep in contact

So I’m guessing with this new system, whenever a traveling spirit comes you’ll just be able to buy from them from the get-go without having to relive the memory (if you got them beforehand) as if you had gotten the spirit from a season but Nothing past the level 1 emote?

Honestly, I’m really glad they made this decision... imagine being a new comer and seeing all these areas in the map with nothing in it.... kind of makes the realms lonely and boring... ended up telling them this in one of the surveys so I’m so happy they’re considering bringing back the spirits

Guiding System and the new Seasonal Spirit System is different I think. So I assume that the Guiding System should be discussed here at Beta Channels only while the New Seasonal Spirit system can now be discussed at Live Channels

Imagine a moff reaching the ice rink. Sees they need 2 spirits to visit citadel. Relives the twirl. Still no progress. Relives juggler. No progress. Relives leap jump....NO PROGRESS....

There should be indicators for seasonal and non seasonal spirits for the moffs to not be confused
