I'm sorry but don't this server have actual mods who work on regulating channels? I'm not asking for them to supervise this server and each of the channels every second but it feels like there's none of them who work in important channels like #💁gameplay-help. There are off topics too often and sometimes even trolly answers and many people's questions are just washed away since people just like to kid around there so much like it's general chat, and let's not mention the channel's "direction" above since it's only making it even more hilarious.

Add: I think #🔮cn-gameplay-discussion needs a bit supervising as well but since it's a "discussion" so I won't say much, except it seems lately people been too trolly just simply saying "check the pins" to literally everyone and assume like there's no legit questions at all despite the asking person actually already read the pins (I do share the feelings that many people also don't read the pins but this one is still a bit too trolly imo). It feels like there would even be no CN discussion there at all with that kinda typical response. Even just now I see people talking about very off topic thing and it's not just a one or two reply long.

Sorry for the long post. I don't wanna sound like a jerk. We have the mod ping available for emergencies, it's not to be used outside of them. This was an emergency, however, I was already present in the chat and had a message not too far up when that mod ping happened so it naturally was annoying for other mods to be pinged when I was already handling the chat. The person didn't get into trouble for it, the reason behind the ping was fine.

Other mods in chat encouraged others to stop trying to explain why to not ping all mods in that situation. It did turn into a sort of shouting match at the person who made an honest mistake. That's not okay, but it wasn't unwarranted either (meaning, the person who did the ping should've been made aware to not use the ping at that time and to be a little more observant, but not okay in that it became demeaning towards that person).

We can look into clarifying Rule 5 a little more to make it clearer on when a mod ping should be used to help prevent a similar situation in the future.

Sorry for late ping, but feel you should know you got a response.

Imagine something bad is happening and you ping me, but I don't/can't respond. That would continue happening, and other mods would get pinged to come in themselves. Easier to drop an @ mod than try to fish through us all or drop a bunch of individual pings at once

Sorry that happened. The response of other mods may not have been the best. And I can give reasons why (we were handling a lot of DMs tbh), but at the end of it we should've been better about that.

i propose a rework for the help advice guides that is still using a pretty buried pins system
instead of pins, consider using discord's new (pretty old) function, threads.
creating a megathread on say, maybe #st-freya-faq or another channel dedicated for the megathread
i think this would help as you can bypass the ai chan system which from what ive heard editing it is a hassle (?), and it would be easier instead to create a thread and link to it
maybe it's too much of a work and would net nothing much of value, but i think that it would be more cleaner that way for beginners to navigate (and overall just look better for the help advice section of the server tbh)
of course, we need contributors for those threads; maybe filter out the old guide/infos on the current aichan pin and move it over to the megathread system
