i know you cant delete past version resources in game but is there a way to delete it manually from the files?

You can delete that stuff in the ai chan phone > resource. That let's you delete previous chapter and\or audio files. Unless you meant something else when you said previous version resources. But if you just delete them from the game files then hi3 will redownload them because it thinks it should have those files

Not sure about now but HI3 was only supported on M-series chips when they released on Macs, which the Neo doesn't have.

Then again I know nothing about Macs so I can be wrong

well is the first arm mac without a M series chip so we have to see, still is being a while since you can run some mobile apps on Mac without having to use 3rd party programs, iirc when the game released for mac some users downloaded the iOS ver by accident (still the mac ver, is just the mobile one with more settings available)

Mackbook Neo has an A-series chip rather than an M-series chip like regular Macbooks

It's essentially a Macbook with iOS rather than MacOS

The guy wanted to find out if could he download Hi3 and run it given the unique model of the device

The game freezes at the cg (p2ch1 starting cg) its exact frame every single time. I repaired files redownloaded nothing fixes and i couldn't find anything useful other than that what can i do to fix this

But i recommend running that repair now, and then once that is finished then RESTART your pc and once your pc is back up try opening the game again

and dont delete it and download from the website, steam uses its own accounts so you wouldnt be on the same account

but in steam, right click the game and click verify file integrity

then restart your pc once thats done

steam auto logs you in with steam accounts, the non steam version makes you use a hoyoverse account.

TL;DR is to not worry about it, just stick with the steam version to not lose progress

i was about to say that before you try anything more, you need to download the official launcher if you want to play with an HYV account, the steam ver. only uses SteamID for login

Just to confirm you're clicking start game from the hoyoplay launcher and not steam right?

If you are opening it from the hoyoplay launcher, try doing this:

1. Please, close both game and launcher.
2. Press Windows + R, type regedit and hit enter.
3. In the opened window, please locate \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\miHoYo\Honkai Impact 3rd and delete it.
4. Press Windows + R, and type %userprofile%\Appdata\LocalLow\miHoYo\ in the opened window. Delete all the files in the Honkai Impact 3/3rd folder.
5. Restart your PC.

an Intel AX210 is still a pretty good option for the price, if you want something more cheaper, probably you can find some Mediatek 7922 giving a similar performance for a lower cost

if you want something more future proof and your device is compatible... an NCM865 is a good device for the price.
but for the ones i mention you need to look carefully, there are some models made for some specific slots so you need to take that in count, to avoid buying one that is not for your device

what processors do you have ?
if you have AMD Ryzen processors i recommend AX200 (for 100% guranteed works) . but if you want to gamble if it works or not you can get Intel wifi AX210

if you have intel processors , you can search the desktop motherboard name / notebook name to see if they Support CNVIo wifi card so you can get like Intel Wifi AX211 or 411

why did i say the AX210 is a gamble?
if you plan to buy it online and replace it yourself look for the FRU name

if the FRU ends with "3" you cannot use the AX210 , it requires Intel Procesors (FRU "3" is vPro AX210 models")
if the FRU ends with "4" you can use it in AMD or Intel processors (FRU "4" is non-vPro AX210 models")

has anyone tried removing a cpu fan and re-apply thermal paste? is it too risky?

i've been using my cpu for like 7 years. last time it had a re-paste was 2 years ago at a computer store.
im too afraid to do it on my own, because i heard stories where the processor got stuck on the fan as they detached it and caused the pins to snap.

Its not risky if you're careful and know what to do/have a guide.

Thermal paste doesnt need to be reapplied every few years though, like it doesnt hurt but its also not required imo more frequently than like every 5 years.

and yes you can mess up and permanently damage your CPU of course but as long as you're careful and methodical then its not like super easy to break it imo. The hardest part for me is always reattaching the fan because my cpu's fan bracket is an engineering horror show so its always annoying to reattach

im still using the stock fan of my ryzen 7-3700x. every 2 weeks, the fan gets noisy. i've never brushed the dust from the heatsink before. i'll try it by the end of next week and hopefully it gets better airflow

cleaning the dust regularly is much better for keeping it maintained then not cleaning the dust out and only replacing the thermal paste yeah. replacing the thermal paste with a really dusty heatsink/fan wont do a ton since the heatsink itself is degraded in cooling efficiency.

But yeah i've replaced probably over a dozen cpu's/fans and while it is scary because its a delicate expensive part as long as you are careful and double check before you do something that you know how to do the next step then you wont break anything, and yes like builda said if you let it get warm first and then take it off its easier to pull the fan off the cpu

speaking of cpu fans though, i need to get a better one, im too lazy to buy a fan thats good enough for my cpu so to keep it running cool i've just underclocked it by a decent bit

i've also underclocked & undervolted both my cpu and gpu considering the extreme heat in where i live.
maybe it's better that i change my stock cpu fan into something with larger heatsink.

might need to consider upgrading your fan if you're planning on taking it off anyways, if you do though make sure to double check that it will fit the bracket that your current fan has, i've made the mistake of ordering a part and it wont fit so i just wasted money lol

im actually thinking of changing my cpu. i read somewhere that pc components only last between 7-10 years with proper maintenance.
my motherboard has an EZ Debug LED, and oftentimes it showed a light on the CPU, which signals that my CPU is failing due to age/corrosion/etc..

my biggest problem right now is that since i'm still using the AM4 architecture, upgrading to AM5 will require me to upgrade my motherboard(AM5 support) and memory(DDR5) as well. i am so cooked

honestly i just think it's fine to stick to AM4 since the Ryzen 7 7800x3d is great unless you specifically need the more powerful AM5 Ryzen 9s and DDR5 RAM

i have my eyes on the ryzen 7-7700 and maybe DDR5 with 5600 frequency

upgrading from B450M to B650M motherboard isn't that expensive

7700 is AM5. i have no problem with upgrading my cpu and motherboard. ram is the most problematic because of AI companies buying everything from suppliers

I personally use my components until they stop working or are so obsolete that I can't do what I want with them so my PC is a mix of new components and 15 year old parts xD

Though I do make sure I keep my old stuff when I upgrade so if something breaks I have a 50% chance of putting in an old part to keep my PC running until I get a proper replacement xD

But while I will say that parts last 7-10 years on average, that's on average so it's not necessarily a "must" upgrade unless of course you have the money for it and all that and want to
