#

they expanded south plains, now we got new giant flat biome

#

where south beach sanctuary is

normal shuttle
#

most of it is an open area. And south plains (savannah now) is still largely open but with plenty of visual cover that helps guess who: carnos, omnis, ceras, troodons, dilos, rexes

#

and every carnivore to come save for spino, deino and sucho

woeful latch
#

we also got west rail and north plains as well plains

dire bear
normal shuttle
#

because now you cannot be spotted from a mile away. Now people have to use their eyes and awareness

dire bear
#

But more ponds not connected to rivers means deino is dead

woeful latch
#

making the map too flat is actually a bad idea, it’s what people use for endless deathmatch

normal shuttle

pond deino is more of a gamble and risky move

good thing they added patrol zones, you don’t have to go to places you don’t want to go

#

stay at the plains if you like plains

dire bear
#

What is that logic lol

#

Bad map design is ok because players can avoid it? Lol.

"bad map design" and its literally just them moving around where the plains are lol

dire bear
#

🤓

woeful latch
#

so the good map design should be just plains?

lilac bolt
#

yep

woeful latch
#

👹

dire bear
lilac bolt
#

what?

woeful latch
#

that totally makes sense xd

normal shuttle
#

look, this is the open area of south plains now. Does it look like a swamp or jungle or anything that wouldn't benefit carnivores and enrich gameplay?

dire bear
#

Im genuinely confused how ppl are disagreeijf with me. Do you guys just hate variety? I just dont get it. If the devs added a new plains biome yall would be hating on anyone who said it wasnt good either. Bizarre

woeful latch
#

new biome is really good, i’d also like some rocks and little bit less bushes around

normal shuttle
wooden agate
#

they just added a new plains biome and we're saying its good....

#

im so confused lol

normal shuttle
dire bear

Its not worth it tbh

woeful latch
lilac bolt
#

theres more to it then that when it comes to map design

woeful latch
#

whole delta is also flat

#

like how come you can’t find those on the map..

normal shuttle
# dire bear Its not worth it tbh

then no one can agree with you, if you won't care to explain why is it an inherent positive to have visibly and completely different biomes when a) the new biome objectively makes gameplay more engaging and b) it literally is a biome we have never seen before over the grasslands we have seen since Isla Spiro

limber hull
normal shuttle

structure wise we haven't had a map like that since some section of early legacy lol

limber hull
#

"we want a flat field"

you got a flat field. the new south is literally flat, bushy savannah area, and we decided we hated it

woeful latch
#

i genuinely can’t tell if he’s just trolling or actually thinks the map is just jungle

dire bear
wooden agate
normal shuttle
#

it's been a hot minute since we ever got a savannah and now this time there's cover that:

from the prey's perspective, forces you to remain aware and not just turn off your brain in the open

from the predators's perspective, makes plains no longer a fully safe haven for large herbivores AND your very cover is also an obstacle that works against you.

Show me new assets pls

That area was mostly jungles btw. South plains is largely the same lol

woeful latch

the devs mentioned in the patch notes what exactly they changed so you don’t even have to guess, run around the map and explore

is verity of biomes

and it’s safe as well, you don’t have to fear deinos

not only this isn't really true but you are also judging something simply based on the tiny individual pieces- no, not even that, but instead the cover of those pieces

It's like saying a building isn't special or unique when it could be completely different and innovating compared to another, and all because they have the same color and material.

Your observation feels overly superficial, and overlooking the major implications and value to gameplay that has to create a biome where your very camouflage is your obstacle and fundamentally alters how predator stalks and prey is aware of threats. It has brought a change in something we have been doing for almost a decade

limber hull
#

"same assets" but utilised in a brand new way that we've not seen before

so it's not the same

exactly!!!

#

this is actually great as an addition in every conceivable way

and without trying to downplay Kyrill's arguments, all I am hearing is that the colors and maybe the appearance of some plants is similar

i was shocked when it was a nighttime and i could see things as galli

Idk what to tell you bro its the exact same ctr c ctr v assets. There is so many new assets on unreal marketplace idk why they just dont use them. For some reason, despite the glowing reviews by isle discord, I just cannot get myself to care about another marshland / swamp. If it replaced the thick jungle that was there than thats good I guess? But its such a low standard to be impressed by. I cant really convince u guys anything and yall cant convince me so no point in really talking about it, its just some people are happier with different things I guess

junior nymph
normal shuttle
dire bear
normal shuttle

and I am telling that if you could explain what gameplay value does it bring to do as you say, then maybe I could agree

#

but so far I am the only one giving reasons as for why it is a positive

dire bear
normal shuttle
#

I have more evidence to see this as a positive. Also, does that imply the new biomes are ugly? why?

limber hull

it isnt even a swamp. you haven't seen the biome yet so i guess you wouldn't know tho lmao

# normal shuttle I think there's no better and more clear way to put it than ticking boxes

Completely new type of biome despite usage of similar plant assets to craft a landscape that we haven't seen since 2016 and even then it was vague back then ✅

Innovating side mechanic to make ambushes more strategic in a way never seen before in these games ✅

Preys can no longer rely on grasslands for the most part as safe havens where you see a predator coming from 400m away ✅

Accomodates future playables and doesn't make their existence countered entirely by open areas ✅

So...I have my reasons to believe this change benefits the game and is the right direction to go

normal shuttle
# dire bear Oh we care about realism now lol

I am all for prioritizing gameplay over realism. But that's just like putting a polar bear in arizona. Those two (jungle and desert) in an island so small are completely incompatible unless you made some truly bizarre geography of the map, and all for what? to have a third of the map unavailable and unusable for a large chunk of the roster?

this is so wrong

Please, consider the implications of that. You would be creating a section of the map (probably large so it doesn't look awful) that part of the roster cannot access or they get absolutely nothing out of it. That means that you are creating safe zones for many creatures to artificially avoid bad matchups or main predators.

It absolutely shouldn't be added if you are just going to create a glorified sanctuary but for adults and elders lmao

Parasaurolophus casually going into the desert magically inside a tropical island, where it can find all of its diet, water without deinos or spinos, and since it is a desert it cannot get ambushed by apexes

Amazing game design.

good is one thing. But a proper desert done in a way that doesn't look like God just poured some sand over a corner of the island would be flat out UNUSABLE for many playables in the roster. Apex carnivores would be doomed, especially deino and spino, and then also animals like pterosaurs who rely heavily on big elevations within the same area

Also I'm guessing hypsis, herras, anky, minmi, and cheirus

normal shuttle
# dire bear I dont see any players in the swamp like ever. Its not advantageous for anyone i...

unrelated reasons

Swamp is not used frequently for other than smart herbis because it didn't have the luck of becoming a popular iconic place, and its layout takes more learning than that of north lake, highlands or south plains, but it is not something inherently about the swamp. People just feel deterred from sticking for too long because it is a giant labyrinth.

If I were a rex at the swamp, I could still take advantage of the many shallow areas and also dry land to move around and even use the copious amounts of cover to hunt effectively. On the other hand, a rex in a desert can only hope to scavenge because it will be seen coming from far away and hadrosaurs will just start getting away well before you can get in killing range with your ambush

#

a swamp doesn't make a creature inherently useless or impossible to keep alive like a spino in a desert

junior nymph
dire bear
junior nymph
#

in every area they have them in

normal shuttle
dire bear
normal shuttle
#

there is nothing about the swamp that makes a dinosaur inherently unviable

#

but a desert? absolutely

woeful latch
#

the only reason south plains is a hotspot is because majority of dinos spawn there most of the times

woeful latch
#

it’s between sp and west rail

normal shuttle
#

because if there were players (which can perfectly survive btw) in the swamp, then something like rex would survive just fine

dire bear
#

You can talk about theory all u want but it doesnt matter cuz players love plains and will always leave other biomes to hang out in plains

woeful latch
#

they just need to work on spawns and hotspot problem will get fixed very soon

junior nymph
normal shuttle
#

but what is a spino supposed to do in a desert whether or not it is populated?

normal shuttle
junior nymph
#

or forest animals spawn in forests and plains animals spawn in plains and semi aquatics spawn near water

normal shuttle
dire bear
#

It is related broski

woeful latch
#

and like if it’s something semi-aquatic then it needs to spawn in swampy area or delta or something like that

normal shuttle
#

not in the slighest. Or well, we could use that same logic with the desert. I guess we could imagine that no one would use it, thus every carnivore is inherently bad there becaure there's just fresh spawns willing to leave

woeful latch
#

honestly, they should delete every biome and add giant redwoods instead, can we all agree👹👹👹👹👹👹

dire bear
#

The isle isnt singleplayer

woeful latch
#

xddd

normal shuttle
#

instead of talking about the intricacies and properties of different biomes, let's judge them based on player activity. Completely disregarding that a spino in a desert oasis would die whether or not it is populated

dire bear
#

I have been enjoying legacy so much lately just because the map is so much better

#

I mean thenyaw not v3

normal shuttle
woeful latch
#

oh well thenyaw is mostly dense forest

normal shuttle
dire bear
woeful latch

woeful latch
dire bear
#

I like thenyaw because its small, looks nice asthetically, (much nicer than evrima jungle) and has 1 good lake and hotspot with a plains around it

normal shuttle
#

I love how V3 is just shattered into shards by that massive swamp/jungle/river that conditions all of your traveling

normal shuttle
#

gateway is nothing like v3

woeful latch
dire bear
#

Oh nvm u forgot to add the massive mountains blocking every step

#

In gateway

normal shuttle
#

there's nothing blocking you

#

like, ever

dire bear
#

Even ptera gets blocked in gateway thats how blocky it is

woeful latch
limber hull
normal shuttle
#

everything can run almost in a straight line

woeful latch
#

and tbh my only issue always were the domes that were useless and i was forced to go around them, but most of them thankfully got removed and now it’s not a problem anymore

dire bear
#

I heavily disagree I cant play gateway without a third party map or I just end up taking horribly inefficient routes

woeful latch
#

i don’t see any “mountains” blocking.. if you disagree then show it on the map at least

normal shuttle
#

because highlands can be accessed from ANY major location except swamp and you can go anywhere through there. Heading from north lake to south plains is almost a straight line in gateway. Meanwhile going from hidden lake down to twin lakes in v3 required you get around the awful canyon with jungle and river around and then part of the swamp until you finally had to run through the forest for a while until you got there

@onyx scaffold so...is it not a good system that encourages stamina management efficiently when it gives you a minor penalty for failing to manage your stamina?

Only thing I can agree with (which isn't mentioned here) is that it is too cryptic like so many things in the game

onyx scaffold
normal shuttle
#

right now it is a system that actually treats stamina like a resource, which adds a layer of strategic thinking to the game and also a need to know when it is better to keep pushing or to disengage

#

also gives more commitment to sitting down with the breakpoints

onyx scaffold
#

and also if your a diablo for example and you are being hunted and they have drawn out the fight and drained your stamina there is no way of you regaining it until you sit down which you obviously cant do i think in that situation the dibble should still regain some stamina just really really slowly

normal shuttle
#

they outplayed the dibble

unique gyro
#

I personally quite like how stamina feels like a limited resource now, however i think it could use some tweaks in some areas

#

like sitting stamina regen feels extremely slow for too long imo, sitting to regen when you're above 60 feels just as slow as trotting which is a bit odd to me

lucid mauve
onyx scaffold
# normal shuttle they outplayed the dibble

if they get it down to that point then yeah the carnivores should be able to play around while it has no stamina but if they take too long to find openings still and manage to finish the kill i think the diablo should have a chance of being able to slowly build up some stamina which could be used in a pinch to maybe survive

normal shuttle
# lucid mauve outplayed lol, you mean pushing H

if a predator manages to tire a prey in nature, it totally outplayed it. So why wouldn't that be the same with dinosaurs when we have stamina recoveries so similar to those of wild animals and a needed to preserve stam as a resource?

onyx scaffold
#

also just makes no sense you could stand still for the rest of human history and not ever even gain a inch of stamina back

lucid mauve
normal shuttle
#

we are humans lol

#

we cannot be compared to animals when talking about stamina

#

they are completely different

lucid mauve
#

You still need to get the kill

onyx scaffold
#

excluding combat as well it just makes travel much longer for no reason

normal shuttle
normal shuttle
#

and imma be real, I would rather keep stamina as a resource whose management is crucial to survival than to revert it and go back to the times where stamina mattered nothing to everyone except for three or four playables

#

if Master Oogway played The Isle he would be cracked, because he knew

lucid mauve
onyx scaffold
#

but it did matter tho? and even then i want the old system with the thresholds but instead of not being able to gain stamina at different thresholds it just slows down by alot

normal shuttle
normal shuttle
lucid mauve
normal shuttle
#

this game's design philosophy is ruthless. It doesn't forgive anything, and I cannot why one of the most important stats in the game only behind speed should be one of the more forgiving ones

normal shuttle
#

and it totally is the aim of the game that has been said multiple times. To be hard

#

and this couldn't be more clear than with the arrival of apexes so soon with 14 hour growths and assuming that in the live branch you wont have everything served on a silver platter

lucid mauve
normal shuttle
#

I am not getting your analogy

#

not fully at least

lucid mauve
normal shuttle
#

and the game isn't finished yet

lucid mauve
#

True, and i hope it will be harder.

normal shuttle

it will especially with the proper apexes in the game and elder system

lucid mauve

I mean it prob will be, just even with semi aquatic. Im guessing bary will kill alot of growing deinos etc.

The only real issue with the stamina system is that it uses thresholds instead of curves

gentle flint
#

@thick summit I see what you mean but with that.. people would just likely find the nearest cliff if they were so unfortunate. It wouldn’t add much depth most likely because if you got an inherently “bad” skin color just by random chance, why live, y’know?

thick summit

thick summit
urban flax
urban flax
#

Mathematically

urban flax
#

When meeting an albino, there's a 50% chance that it's actually a cannibal (probably higher normally but let's make it simpler)
Even if they're not a cannibal, there's still a 50% chance that they want to kill me (again, probably higher in actual game)
Even if they don't want to kill me, there's a 50% chance that they will get me killed somehow (because ahhh isle players also they stick out like a sore thumb)

Which leaves a whopping 17.5% chance that trusting them will not lead to my death

urban flax
limber hull

could be interesting if albino was a mutation you can spawn with, and you also instantly get cannibalism

I did two quick mathematic operations. I am still figuring out the growth curve, but after two checks I can more or less pinpoint its growth at the 12-14 hour mark on a 100% diet

#

Leaning more towards 13

limber hull
#

jesus lol

normal shuttle
#

Potentially more even since I’ve been running on a mega min maxed diet but also with zero predatory pressure

#

So when Rex is around I’m expecting trikes to take like 15 hours to grow

normal shuttle
# limber hull jesus lol

They have toned down that growth curve (24% 4 tons before vs 3.1 tons now) but it is MUCH, MUCH LONGER

#

And I think some dev said that rex wouldn’t get less growth time than trike

#

And that one’s a carnivore TI_Yikes

#

All I’m gonna say is that elder rex will be a true mark of commitment and skill

limber hull
#

god that's based ngl

normal shuttle
#

I appreciate that

#

Because that’s gonna be a huge deterrent

And also it is not necessarily bad if the younger stages remain viable

#

Such as rex. Who cares if you spend like 15 hours growing a rex if you get to enjoy all life stages for a while

#

I am 25% on this trike and I’ve been growing easily for like 3 hours on an average diet well over 140-150% lmao

#

In fact I am a little concerned about apexes despite this feeling like the right way to go

#

Because after that time and competing for resources, animals like trike better be absolute powerhouses who crush any other creature that grows in like 5 hours or less

urban flax
normal shuttle
#

Oh no…

#

I just rejoined after a restart. And the patrol plants haven’t spawned

normal shuttle
urban flax
#

You can't make ptera 4 hours to grow because flying is so cool and fun

#

Nor can you reduce deino's growth time to 2 hours because of how boring and unfun it is

limber hull
#

i mean they did decent with trike

#

trike is pretty much unkillable, it just can't pick its fights

#

(honestly i reckon trike could do with a lil more power but maybe that's just me)

normal shuttle
normal shuttle
#

And also getting a crazy good diet with trike is very easy due to how slow the food drain is. You just need to be territorial about your patrols and migrations, use gastroliths and before 30% like I am right now, you can keep increasing your diet consistently and sit comfortable at +230%

#

So maybe if rex and trike (as well as the other truly gigantic apexes for that matter) are more rewarded for keeping a very good diet and can shorten their growth significantly, there shouldn’t be any major problem

#

Because trike on a constant 200% would be like…8-9 hours? Not that far off, pretty fair in fact

#

Maybe in practice it will be longer due to competition with other herbis, migrations and being pressured by predators, but seriously, trike is early on with over 200% boost is easy

@cyan totem Intel Iris is something known as an integrated graphics card. Most games require a dedicated graphics card. This is because most integrated graphics cards are less powerful than dedicated graphics cards, and share resources with the CPU, whereas dedicated graphics cards get their own separate power, memory, cooling etc and therefore tend to be a LOT more capable. The isle's minimum specs on steam do specifically say that integrated graphics will not work for this game.

If that doesn't work or your computer doesn't have those modes, you could try telling Windows to set the default GPU for the Isle game to your RTX dedicated graphics card. Sometimes the OS tries to be "efficient" and use the integrated graphics card on programs that it really shouldn't

# urban flax Nah, he's community manager for a reason

Y'all are both right. Devs do have an obligation to communicate with their players when they're selling an early access title. But Punch was hired to handle that communication interface between devs and the community at large.

I feel like a big part of the problem is it takes a long time to implement changes to the game (it's complicated to patch of course), which means that the feedback loop from suggestions to patch is slow enough that it's hard to see cause and effect. Players making suggestions want to see that their suggestions have an effect, and one way to accomplish this is to have devs acknowledge certain suggestions they liked or thought were well thought out or were particularly creative in dev blogs

They usually talk in #isle-discussion, but the problem is that chat is insanely busy all the time. Their comments are buried unless you happen to be in that chat when they come in to answer questions. Unless someone screenshots their comments and responds to your feedback showing you what they said, there's no way for the majority of players to see that. Most people see what's in the dev blogs, announcement, and patch notes, and MAYBE a dev stream if their timezones match the devs or if they watch a YouTube video from a content creator who happens to have been able to attend that dev stream

faint folio
# urban flax In mean it more in the sense of trying to get the devs attention towards their f...

I'm not sure. I know multiple other games feature community members in their dev blogs, though. Valheim shows off 1-2 player created bases every dev blog from what's sent into the devs as fan art. DoD does this too. Lioden (browser game, I know) credits community members when suggestions are accepted and added to the game. In all 3 the system seems to work. Now, the isles fan base seems more rabid in comparison, so I don't know if that would work or not, or if some other system would help (maybe a Q&A section of the dev blog where devs summarize answers to questions they saw in gen chat so that everyone can see them would work better?). But I think a large amount of the player base is incredibly frustrated with QOL issues among others, and just posting in one of their main communication channels that they see it would go a long way. For example: we've seen a lot of feedback about a surge in alleged hacking attempts recently. We are looking into multiple options to try to combat this in our game

# fading pecan Devs have a duty to their player base to communicate properly. I dont think it’s...

I see that people don't really want to talk about that in this discussion so I'm going to.

Although yes communication and transparency is extremely important for the development of a early access game, you also have to consider that the devs have to protect themselves. I know this sounds dramatic but as somebody who is part of this community for a while I can tell you that the isle community can become pretty vile. Aggressive rants / venting, rudeness that borders on insults, entitlement and misinformation can get rampant in the channels. And that's just the discord.
If you look at Youtube, you have the same stuff only dialed up to 11. For instance there was a case some time ago in which a youtuber made a drama slop video about one of the animators. Stuff like this can lead to harassment. And considering how the general "gamer community" is like on youtube (not very progressive nor thoughtful), that harassment can become extra nasty.

As an example on how this can affect the development, you can look at another IP: Project Zomboid. Harassment caused in some devs mental health issues which lead to delays and even considerations to sell the IP.

Just keep that perspective in mind. It get's overlooked a lot.

i also don't think anywhere on gateway is cold enough to really believably induce feather growth, nor do i think anywhere is hot enough on the map where the animals would change significantly. they were designed to be comfortable in the enviorment they're in

My fps in west access is around 50-70 in public branch, but in hordtest (in the same location) it drops to 40

#

(With the addition of these trees)

dire bear
#

Thats seems right

#

Trees are hardest thing in many games to render except for raytracing

#

And considering this is a ue5 game it is

pliant elm
#

That's exactly why I've been complaining so much. Players like Mr. Alphonsen won't notice this because they have an obviously above average PC.

one wrong thing…

dont tell me idk how processing works when i used to be a fivem developer lmao

dire bear
#

You have no clue if you think the gpu does not affect tree rendering. No clue

gentle rampart
#

when far far away they arent there, when far away they are there with low poly models (kinda like the clay buildings on GTA) and when close they are high poly models

#

^simplistic for you

dire bear
#

Not in the isle

#

Isle does not use LOD's

#

Big budget games like gta or rdr2 do yeah but not most indie games

gentle rampart
#

brother there are two UE5 info pages from epic games, the owner of Unreal Engine

#

read them and come back and tell us you're wrong

dire bear
#

I just told you why you are wrong

#

It is up to the developer to create LODs

#

What part of that do you not understand? I used to make games in unity I know what im talking about

#

Dont try to convince me on things I already know

gentle rampart
#

I'm not gonna waste time attempting to logic with someone who knows theyre wrong when I provided you with the information from the engine owners

dire bear
#

Game assets dont magically create different versions of themselves for LOD rendering its up to the devs

#

Please go watch a video on how lod's work

https://youtu.be/fk7mTsgYSI8?si=JDpNqiiC8PTUjj_P the isle has a culling range for trees go to view distance kyrill.

This video shows you epic settings are a lie. Here you will see how to improve your FPS with my settings breakdown!

I checked all your links and they are talking about adding LOD's in the future

#

Nanite isnt LOD and doesnt perform as well

Doesnt mean they added them

And they don't say "we're looking to add LODs" they say "we're looking to improve our LODs"

I think what they mean is the grass nanite rendering

all quiet on the western front now lol

@azure ruin Psittacosaurus pick them up causing them to bug out and cant be eaten or grabbed

Oh yeah lmaoooo

As if deleting 5% of the map would make you go from 40 to 60 fps average 😭 😭 😭

And also when water is also part of the map, and plants…and AI, and playables…

# woeful latch "it is recommended" guy strikes again

I think he's doing like some kind of "voice of the people" bit, hence the "player representative" thing, but it just seems to me like he suggests something in a formal way and just pretends everyone else wants it lol

normal shuttle
#

And by not advantageous = unusable

#

I gave a good hypothetical using para as for why that would be bad and just went “nuh uh para ain’t yet in the game”

limber hull
#

Desert and snow biomes are both equally bad because there's
A: No real way to realistically add them in a space that isn't immediately jarring
B: Seriously invalidates huge swaths of the roster, not just 1 or 2 animals

Like yea, the new savannah is a real hard blow to deino, but its not like the rest of the roster can't interact with it. Like how south plains isn't the best for herrera, but makes for a good transition between more advantageous areas for it

limber hull
#

Paleontologists got it wrong yet again

#

Para actually was never real, what a blunder

normal shuttle
#

When it is a perfectly valid and reasonable point with an upcoming playable

limber hull
#

I love how when discussing a biome that doesn't exist in-game, using a dino that doesn't exist in-game to counter an argument is unreasonable

normal shuttle
#

Lmao

normal shuttle
#

No even in sp herras can perform well, or in west access

#

It’s not like they’re COMPLETELY countered by a biome that just makes no sense to put in a damn tropical jungle unless you make the map 500x500km at the very least

limber hull
#

One thing I do like about the new savannah is it looks like it won't be as safe as people think. Carnos roam there and basically dominate as the environment is near perfect for them

normal shuttle
normal shuttle
# limber hull One thing I do like about the new savannah is it looks like it won't be as safe ...

Yup, I really like it because not only you cannot really run through the bushes for cheap cover since they are obstacles, but on top of that you can no longer stick to the open and be able to see someone coming from a mile away like you could in grasslands previously, so people back then could just turn their brain off and just look around every now and then because not even a juvenile omni could ambush you there

limber hull
#

Like I went there as a galli and HT carno is a MONSTER in that environment. On top of the area completely supporting it, its new stam means it can endurance hunt a galli pretty damn well and keep on its tail

1800kg carno would struggle, but thanks to 1300kg carno's higher max speed with charge, it can keep pace with galli quite well, and on top of the stam and lack of obstacles/deep water to slow it down, you basically need to gtfo or you WILL be killed out there

#

The shallow water is unironically another huge boon to carno. It hates deep water, but in this environment there's none of that, there's effectively no good way to get away from a carno. I imagine it'll be a pretty carno-dominated environment for a while

normal shuttle
#

Savannah adult rex having to sneak its way around the bushes rather than through them is gonna be so peak

normal shuttle
#

It’s pointless to suggest this right now but…

Please, I really wish they do Rex growth as shown by Dondi where it is deino curve but more comically extreme with 40% growth (like…5 hours on 100% diet) Rex being 900kg

#

🙏 🙏 🙏 make it the most hardcore thing ever

dire bear
#

Nah i want snow and desert

#

Just add a mountain and use that as an excuse for snow

urban flax
dire bear
#

Unlike the endless jungle

#

Whoch is totally not dead space

limber hull
#

compared to a literal mountain? in this game where both climbing and surviving falls are a consistent hassle?

yea no it's hella dead space

#

we already have a volcano, and additionally, a snowy mountain on a tropical island would look absurd. you know how tall/much space you'd need to allocate just to this mountain?

urban flax
#

Can't wait to go to a mountain to
-Waste all my stamina climbing up there
-Can't find any food
-Freeze to death
-Have nowhere do hide because I stick out like a sore thumb
-Risk falling to my death at every step

limber hull
#

no food, no water, no good way to ambush, need to constantly watch your step (so basically don't sprint), it's FREEZING, takes up a colossal portion of the map, cuts off travel for basically everyone
