But honestly, I do find it hard to talk positively about things without adding addendums, my brain doesn't really work like that. Like, I really appreciate the new Camara design, and I am really looking forward to it's addition, it is a creature that I am excited to try out, I have basically no notes...
but...
I mean... if I really wanted to talk about Camara, it would likely just lead to how I am concerned about how the current herbivore food balancing would probably struggle to sustain Camara without some adjustments or Camara specific changes. That would obviously just spiral out into herbivore implementation and what food means in the game as a whole... which could then be pushed out further into broader topics but I think you get the idea.
Even if I am 95% positive or optimistic about an addition, I struggle to leave that 5% unspoken. In fact it's almost painful to leave it unspoken or unthought.
I can't just say "I am sincerely optimistic about Camara and I love its design." Because that frames it as somethng without flaw, I just can't stomach that. Even in my own projects, I cannot possibly see something as good. There is always room for improvement, no matter what.
Even if I am positive about something, I can't just leave it at that, the reason I am constantly complaining or discussing things I am unhappy about is because that is how I think about... everything. Even if it's good, it can be improved, if its bad, it can be solved, it's not just The Isle, but The Isle is certainly one of the things I've thought about the most. The reason I constantly talk in here is because I am extremely invested and deeply care about it.
So I tend to have a lot to say, and pretty much none of it will come out as positive or optimistic. Because the good things aren't ever really worth discussing other than a passing acknowledgement.
Even if every single one of my issues with the game were magically solved, I would still be thinking "Well... it could probably be better." and that's just kinda how I am...
