SInce the Elderwood expansion came out in May. Palium moved to the EW and became common. Whitestone and platinum were introduced. Gold and silver gained their own nodes. Now compasses detect all platinum, gold, and silver nodes, plus large nodes of everything else (except clay).

2: Add less restrictions to building. For example make it to where you can place furniture closer together or even furniture inside of other pieces of furniture or building blocks.

I've been enjoying it so far but some aspects of it definitely still feel a bit half baked. I'd so appreciate having petting/food indicators to be able to tell which animals you've pet already. The only food indicator that I've seen is when an animal is starving.

The ranching is super super basic and i find it limiting in regards to what you can do as a whole. Just because of how basic it is and feels. I expected it to be idle, but it feels more idle than I was expecting or feel like it should be.

I was hoping the timers and everything witht hem was going to feel more similar to how gardening is. But it feels a whole lot slower to me.

copying and pasting a comment i made yesterday since its the same sentiment I wanna make 'Some games have minigames to feed or groom the animals (not that im saying at all that this is what is missing), some games have competitions you can enter your animals into so you are spending time training them in some way. There is a lot of things games can do with it and a lot of ways they could have made it unique. A very common feeling in the cozy game community right now is farming sims are just all pumping out the same exact thing repackaged. Which to an extent is understandable with crops, there really is only a limited amount of ways u can make that different lmao. But with ranching there is so many! But palia went with... non? Like I say, atm it really doesnt feel like its its own fully rounded skill, more similar to the bird on your plot u can grab a candy egg from once a day but u can change its colour :P

It just disappointed me personally, most likely because of how little I play the game already since I have no real reason to. I struggle with some of the skills, gardening doesn't feel super... interactive? not sure the right word here (but hopefully you get what i mean), along with not being able to do a lot of the story stuff...

Was hoping to fill in the time, I could do a lot more of the animal husbandry and have a good time just trying to figure out cosmetic options, taking care of the animals more. It just feels a bit slow. And yeah, the rate at which yo uget produce is a bit... odd.

At the moment, definitely doesn't feel balanced. Not something that could help with gold production too much, or at all right now. I get that it's moreso to just give produce for food, but was hoping for a way to potentionally get more gold. I was also expecting that if you donate/sell an animal, you'd get some gold in some capacity, but... yeh.

Just hope it gets worked on more, because even in it's current state, it does have potential and promise.

Idk I guess I'm just burnt out on most of the other aspects in the game I just find ranching idle enough to pop in once or twice a day and call it. It's a lose-lose situation for S6 cause the expectations were so high,I don't think they could've met them either way, nor do I think they're trying to reinvent the cozy genre.

There are ways to do it to where it wouldn't produce FOMO (have them always up and can put points in, but you can purchase it with real $$ whenever you wish), and the game already has dailies and the like. It can still be more passive, casual. Can have the dailies we have now incorprated into it-- or even have more 'tasks' you can do (and can reroll and choose which ones you'd prefer doing, or whatever, so it can still feel casual).

I think it's the whole term battle pass. We kind of have pseudo versions of it already. But with how Palias system is you dont need to level for progression or have to utilize items to get characters or stuff.

It took at least a year to get my friendship levels to 4 because it didn't interest me. I still haven't done romance. All my skill levels - except ranching - are above 100 and fishing and gardening are in the 650 range. I try not to rush news things but so little had been added before Everwood that it's hard. I'd like them to come up with something for long term players that takes time. By time, I mean at least 3 months. I want to work towards a goal when I'm in the mood. You had to take time pulling them together. It used to take months to get a unicorn fish. People worked away at things. Then they made things easier because people didn't want to wait. A stable floor plan is definitely a plus! My new fish aquarium has reached new heights I never dreamt of, and I’m a “creative builder”.

The only thing I’m not a fan of is the stairs, stuck with the standard wood wallpaper and the parquet wood flooring, and the gaps around it are staggering to say the least.

I would love for them to introduce some bay windows like seen in a certain alchemist’s cottage and perhaps some smaller rooms.

The thing that’s taken me the longest to adapt to is the fact that I need the cottage A or cottage B for the various roof pieces to really hone in on a style.

I am keeping my harvest house on the other plot, I believe I have 30 rooms in total (12 of those being harvest houses themselves) on my “community plot” and I’d personally recommend people starting from scratch rather than reconstructing what they already have. Port over the things you don’t want to craft again, however, I’ve been filling my time by using my thousands of abandoned furniture pieces and then going out and searching for new resources to construct things I don’t have.

Each have their pros, and I would argue the new housing lines win in terms of versatility and ability to create your own style, whereas the standard harvest line holds strong with types of buildings and rooms

The list you are talking about is just their generic troubleshooting page not specifically for matchmaking. Every game has a troubleshooting page of things players can try to hopefully fix the issue without having to go to support.

They even put on there if the troubleshooting issues don't resolve your problem to submit a support ticket so they can hopefully help.

They definitely have issues. I think a lot of people, if not everybody, here can agree with that. The matchmaking issues definitely pop up a lot overtime, and I will agree, it has gotten worse for some players even.

I know not too long ago when it was crashing for almost everybody, that the CM let the playerbase know (at least in discord, I wish it was elsewhere too), and that they were working on it. And it did eventually slowly get fixed overtime. They also have made dailies start to work, which was and is nice.

(I'm admittedly assuming some of the issues are because it's across multiple platforms, which also might be harder to fix or troubleshoot. but dont take my word on that, im just assuming.)

Do they still have problems? Absolutely. I'm still not happy with a lot of them. I still criticize them constructively. But I don't think it's fair to say that they are only blaming their players (at least, that's how it reads with what youre saying), nor saying that they are still laying people off after Daybreak bought them. Especially because that isn't true.

So S6 finally responded to my support ticket for a refund. Of course making me go through every step ive already repeatedly done and no fix. Then unlinks my acct and I relinquish and still not fixed. Seems S6 is unable to resolve the 'Matchmaking ticket validation expired' error thats been preventing me from playing for over 2 days now. The reason I asked for what, is because I can see them being difficult over permanent purchases as if they refund and you suddenly gain access again, its a loss for them. But if it was the zeki loyalty club then maybe they'd be able to send you the missing coins when/if you manage to regain access.
But I honestly think your best bet will be going through your payment provider if the support team won't escalate your issue to either be fixed or refunded.

Unfortunately, support tickets are just backed up and can take a while to get responded to. The refund ticket was probably replied to faster since it isn't exactly a "bug" related one. They even mention they have a high volume of tickets on their support site.

As much as it sucks, and isn't helpful, it really is something you would have to just wait on and hope it gets resolved. I can sympathize with what you're saying with your last sentence, so I can understand (to a degree) how much it sucks, because it sounds like this might have been a comfort game for you? And I feel the same when I can't login to one of my comfort games for similar reasons.

If you really have done every troubleshoot that they said, then it very well might just have to be something they need to work on. I even tried to google for you to see if anybody had anything that could help, and it was basically just "wait". Or check your VPN, firewall, etc. I know that isn't much help, though.

I know Meowdam and others in #💻│tech-help also have ways to try to flush your dns and stuff, which has helped others. Not sure if you have tried that or if it'd help you.

I remember someone I used to know had an issue ages ago where they could no longer access the game from launcher, so they had to boot it through steam. Another one encountered this issue on steam but it started working for them again after reinstalling/clearing cache and restarting their router. It definitely sounds like isolated instances.

I don't think that was the point of that message. This have nothing to do with infinite material storage. She is saying that she want to get at least 50% of her used materials back when using the recycler (if it becomes a thing), cuz if we don't get anything back with the recycler, it would be rather useless. And it's so we don't lose everything we have used on crafting, and can use the materials for other furniture/other things.

I don't fully know if it's against TOS, but it gets talked about every once in a while anyways. And it isn't exactly changing the experience of the game, depending on what you're using it for. People have mentioned using one for gardening, I use one to bulk-buy since there is no option to do that.

Hi All, my friend is having issues with this quest. When she breaks down the wall, the flow gate is supposed to be active, but it isn't. She has already talked to Subira, so we aren't sure how to progress. I already did this one so long ago so I can't remember what to do. Tried watching a youtube video and no luck!

It specifically says in the guide "Once they've spoken to Subira, break down the wall using the pickaxe to use the Flowgate to reach the Hub", but that flowgate is not active, like in the picture

That flowgate doesn't activate until you've FINISHED the quest. You can get to the rest of the Temple sections by gliding off the edge opposite where you enter that platform.

Or it's possible that when she did the preceding quest (not sure of the name), she missed the step that opens that flowgate. She can glide off the edge and check to see ||if she's activated the Entrance portal at the Hub (all four flowgates should be accessible).||

I'm not sure what to ask this but when I'm terraforming on the PS5 specifically I'm trying to put the round concrete pavers around a carpet to make it look like a little river and then I want to build a little bridge over it and Surround it with flowers and trees and whatnot right by my mailbox as the entrance. I'm having difficulty getting the pavers to Stack Up staggered without making them too tall and I can't get the papers to overlap the rug at all and it is stressing me out. Does anyone else feel the new Alchemist cottage is WAYYYY too expensive? I am not one to grind and make tons of money, so the new housing stuff is out of my reach. What if Palia had their own equivalent to horses? Like, animals/"mounts" that we could summon and ride so we could travel faster across the lands. Otherwise, a type of Consumable that would enable us to sprint faster for a short amount of time because I think running doesn't feel fast enough sometimes.

During Kilima event, I noticed something unpleasant during the game, especially the chapaa catching ones. It's really not something serious in itself, the Earth will continue to turn and I'll sleep well tonight, but I noticed that a lot of old players are camping in the chapaa spotting areas, like just stand and not moving at all, spaming the keyboard to catch instantly chapaa when they pop. I can understand that we want to stay close to these areas, but let's at least try to pretend to move, from point A to point B, in a circle or whatever to give everyone the chance to catch at least some chapaa too. **This behaviour is very unfair **and frustrating so I will not hesitate to report campers.

I've done a mix of "spawn camping" and going from 1 spawn to another, and i usually had better luck going to 1 spawn point to the other. Either way, I have to spam the button to grab them-- and even then, it's a flip of a coin if it works because of the desync problems

And I usually just want to get 1 chapaa at the very least, but it can be tricky just trying to do that sometimes bc of the chapaa spawn count.

Ok so This is probably going to be a very unpopular opinion, Say you go to a public park for a Cookout and while you are there 4 to 6 people you don't know all come up and grab your food ,chips and drinks. You did not offer it, you do not know them and even though you are in a public spot you are Like What are you doing ? So my question is If someone is using a Honey lure (they didnt call it out and say hey come help or come join me) and a group of people rush in and take out all the bugs and/or scare them off. When you say some thing about it, they say something along the lines of " its a public place" " you have to share" " what about community???" That's kinda rude behavior. Honey lures ,bug bombs and other buffs take your time and energy to make. Im seeing more and more of this happening where groups of players are almost raiding other players and forcing them out of an area. Honestly it makes me sad yes the game is about community but there also need to be respect.

i definitely get this, i’m not leveled up enough to use honey lures but i’ve seen them being used by others and unless they’ve put in chat “dropping a honey lure!” then i won’t go anywhere near them for fear of scaring their bugs. at the end of the day, thing like that are gonna happen with it being free and public, and hopefully it’ll slowly change and phase itself out.

i think people frequently forget that some online multiplayer games can have social etiquette, or don’t realize that the social etiquette is in place to make the game enjoyable for ALL - not just one person.

I agree a 100% with u, I was trying to help a friend get more money ebcause she wanted to do decor, so i told her we could try bug hunting in elderwood since I had made 10 new lures, we enver said we would be dropping lures for people or anything but people kept coming by and catching bugs.
