If I want to change my phoenixfire’s colours while keeping the current pattern is a reroll cookie the way to go? (Other than oopsie cookies and cookies of the day?) I’m only just starting to earn ranching medals so trying to figure out the best way to go about this

My game keeps crashing every time I try to add you as a friend, so I can't look atm, but if you saw the cake icon, those animals should have aged up to young adult. I would be very surprised if there was a bug that made them babies again. if you have 2 see if you can breed them together, if you do that 3 times this week (you have to wait 18h) you'll get 30 coins for one of the weekly accomplishments.

Honestly, best way to go is to get 1 animal with a colour you want (ideally no other traits) and 1 animal with ember (ideally no other traits) and breed them together.
A reroll has a 50% chance of changing ember to magma, but it is likely to change the colour of the present animal.

I don't think it's a huge deal, but for things like all the fish it can be a bit annoying.

Boovar are the worst offenders, often 3 different fish from each Boovar, and each one takes up a different inventory slot.
5 spots for horses because of the different fertilisers
Goobi can give a few different flowers
Trufflets a few different types of mushroom...

I need one more palsnak for the bulletin board. I noticed the percentages for snacks varying for different animals and I was wondering if there is a percentage more likely to give this common treat? Maybe lower bar=better chance?

I can only speculate for 2 parents.
It probably deals with the inheritance from 1 parent first, then works out what is valid to pass down from the 2nd. The weights from all valid traits are added together as before, and a number is rolled. That's my guess at least.
Both parents having a trait just means you can potentially inherit it from 2 sources, so it does boost the chance.

Mutations I can only assume works the same as when you buy animals. There's another weight that each trait has, the spontaneous weight. I figure this likely applies to traits when buying and traits from mutations.
Tier 5 traits are less likely than tier 1 traits to spontaneously appear. Combo legends have a 0 weight, so if you buy an animal with one, it must have gained both negatives and they combined.

How full the bar is in a particular tier makes no difference.

When I'm breeding animals for donation I name them all 1 as they are born. That way they are the ones that are first in alphabetical order. I started doing this after I did mistakenly donate an animal I wanted to keep.

The only actually black one is the phoenixfire dawnspur, you need to buy a license to ride them though.

There is a legendary trait that gives them a black flame and then the magma effect makes the whole horse even darker.

If you look at the pins they have all the horse colors so you can see for yourself!

You get the most Rares on average if you do Rare donation tier, but Epic isn't much worse (and you get more Epics, which contain Cookies of the Day now)

I’ve seen it, assuming higher the percentage the more likely a rare mystery bag.

But no. As I said above, rare packs are most common from rare donations (but Epic donations aren't much worse for the rare packs, and you get more of everything else)

If that appearance trait works as expected, you'd need to buy 1800 horses before seeing it. I think it's 1 in 600 to get any vfx at all and there's 3 different ones. So please let that set your expectations here.

Depends on you, I had enough cookies to get most of the traits I wanted, if you're low on cookies then buying and donating is the best option to get new traits

Less clicks, and (someone pls correct me if that was proven wrong) back when ranching was released and ppl started testing stuff out, we figured out that feeding food that give less focus can lead to experience loss overtime, as in you get less xp in total than if you feed something that will 'overfeed' then

Yeah it was something like if you give an animal something worth 15 focus you'll only get xp for 10 focus points or something

But yeah plain crops are just inefficient by most parameters

I feed my animals once daily and they only take 1 starred veggie. And are we talking XP with leveling up or XP with animals? Because I'm way over 50. And there's no point to waste canned stuff on levels now.

Talking leveling xp, and feeding that way isn't efficient, but if you prefer to go like that, then do it. Also you don't really need to feed the animals daily, so that's the whole point as well of using higher focus food.

If you don't feed daily they aren't as happy and don't produce as much. I'm passed where I need to worry about XP.

I’ve tried breeding it to get another one but it hasn’t worked. And I don’t know what cookie to give it to make it less ugly lol I kept making it worse somehow
