Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knows if there's a bug about the Starred fish and Amber fish, because it's impossible to catch them. I even managed to get the Starry Fairy Manta, but none of the eels or common fish, so weird, they are the same fish in both. I've already completed the "Highland Angler" achievement that is possible to obtain all of them unstarred. Is anyone else having the same problem, or should I submit a ticket?

fishing hotspots are bugged, currently every available hotspot is only giving saltwater fish, this is due to a bug, devs know about it and are working on it, jaakcats will drop starred sillyfins if you need them for the bulliboard, but thats a "for now" thing and will be removed once the hotspots work right

This has been a consistent issue for a long time. Can be a personal network issue, or a server issue, or both. Usually goes away if you wait a couple mins/use another teleporter/use the return home feature on your map

Try moving to another teleporter, or restarting your game. A router restart might be helpful as well in case it's issues on your end (though much more likely to be issues on palia's end from my experience)

Or possibly try syncing to an online friend or visiting their home tour plot through their profile

i restarted my router last time palia had connection issues and flushed my DNS through command prompt. didn't do much (it was when Highlands launched a week ago or so). Restarting the game and it's providing a ghost process like when the game had a big update, running in the background but the Palia process itself isnt terminating unless i manually shut it down through the task manager.

and my drivers are up to date.

edit nr 2: restarting the game didn't help. Neither did restarting Steam.

Only other thing I can think of is reinstalling the game fully (making sure all files are completely deleted before reinstalling) but no clue if that would help

I played palia last night and everything was fine (im on pc). Now once I open the game and press A to start, it immediately shuts down. I've tried launching on dx11 , I verified all the game files, drivers and windows are all updated. Any advice?

Just realised my outfit animations aren't (all) showing for other people. Is this normal?
I was on a Palia stream of someone who's also on pc and I usually have little diamonds and a birdy around me when I stand still but none of it showed on the streamer's end. Also when I walk it has sparks and those didn't show on their end either.
I do sometimes see animations on other people's outfits but I guess we don't get to see everything?
I also noticed that on my end their premium horse didn't show the moving flame animation, while it did show on their stream.
All my settings are on epic.

i had this exact same thing happen. i thought it was because i quit the game the night prior while standing on a railing. but i used the Map to go to my Home plot. And it fixed the wasd not working.

is this the proper channel to generally report that there are a lot of collision incidents in The Stand Cliffs that lead my character to not be vertical. And my mount getting hung up on really basic uphills. I tried Unstuck. Quitting and starting game back up did not fix it.
i'll try going back to my home plot next. just want to wrap a quest part.

its a pretty common glitch when clicking into something at an angle, you can fix it by loading screen climbing a wall or sitting on any placed furniture. we do it for fun on purpose

oh interesting. i do constantly accidentally hit C instead of X to unmount quickly. is that what you mean by clicking into something while at an angle?

usually we make it happen with a tilted oven, but im not sure how you managed it out in the wilds off plot. its funny, but just a fun glitch for players you can undo pretty easy

Haha, thanks for sharing that. I really like this game though. Even after the Royal Highlands update, when some roads still looked kinda blocky or unfinished like they were still generating or under development, I was still really excited to do the quests there. The new map feels really nice and refreshing. I’ve been enjoying exploring it a lot. Hopefully they smooth out some of these collision issues because the area itself has a lot of potential 💃

That's fair, I immediatly thought something was wrong with her link, because I know sometimes drops will fail if you're not linked. I don't know where the issue may have been if it wasn't browser, I don't know the backend of when "claim" happens and the associate with the palia Linked account. Regardless it's all good now.

Ive chatted with support. My MAIN questline for highlands is bugged. Im at “a stitch in time” and where I open Eloine’s vault. The room does not show the active icon to open the vault … everything is completely stuck and I cannot advance the game because of this (all that unlocks from the questline). I was told DEV was aware and that this was a problem for others and that a future patch would fix it and my support ticket was closed. I was curious if any patches were coming soon (hopefully with this fix)…. Without being able to advance the game, and seeing everyone advance while im stuck - Im ready to just quit.

While I can't tell you exactly when it will be fixed - content patch updates usually come with tons of bug fixes, and if s6 is going back to their previous schedule from before highlands, the next patch should be in about 3 weeks (once a month ish)

So, ive just realized that despite selecting my E drive for palia to install on via steam, it has still installed/placed files onto my C drive, filling up the space to the point that my pc is now running slow (can't afford to upgrade my C drive atm so its low on space as is, and i wasnt having any issues prior to installing palia). Is it possible for me to manually map the Appdata/Local/Palia etc. folder to my E drive and have the game run as normal? Not sure why it decided to install on my C drive despite me telling steam to install it on my E drive.

its a small folder, but I'd still prefer to have everything on the E drive if possible

So I don't really know what's going on with my items in Palia. I'll have an item and it'll disappear like I never had it or some of it will. I've hit unstuck and have left the game then got back on but the item(s) are still gone. It happened to some of the starred fish I had and it just happened with some of the new wood planks. I had 300 in my chest, took out 40 for the bundle, looked at my inventory and it was gone. Looked in my chest and now I only have 137. Anyone know what to do about this? Hey guys i'm having so many issues trying to play Palia, i'm so frustrated and at my wits end. I cannot get the game to launch without crashing, i've tried everything, i've even reinstalled windows, removed other hdds, changed ram, checked all my ram slots, everything is updated, I even updated the bios on my motherboard, all drivers, absolutely everything, and the furthest I can get is my home plot but leaving that it crashes, that's even if I can get that far, why is a game like this so complicated to run UGH and yes I have changed it so that it runs through dx11

Does anyone have any insight?

That error may have something to do with not meeting minimum requirements, if youre overclocking your cpu or ram it could also be the problem. Also try repairing Visual C++ or update it

Sometimes, the game has issues 🤷‍♀️ Last time, I had the error with the "matchmaking ticket" fail... Couldn't log in. Had to wait about 10-15 min, and it resolved itself alone...

Steam Version Fix

• Right-click Palia in your Steam Library (or click the gear icon on the game’s library page).

Window issue still ongoing but I think I finally fixed the issue with the glitching with the house plot decorator. Something possibly to do with Direct X 12 (which I don't recall having issues with that before but never really looked into it) -- Switching to Direct X 11 seems to have helped in some way (tested with the game installed through Steam and with the game installed directly to my computer). It seems like a very niche problem so I don't know if anyone else would benefit on knowing that

Okay I arrived to finding Palia start of May, about 1/2 week into the game horses arrived. I kept trying to level up and went and found Pailia Wiki through You Tubes. SO GLAD I FOUND THE INFO on Palia with Wiki! I write today as I have worked hard at the quests, smiles, fun as it is..few of the Awards of the renowns do not arrive. I thought I was being scripted to take any renowns over 35. I have lost over 3K in Renows as I completed Main Tasks, one said Congrats you have won 1000 Renows and I recived 0. That was the thid time it happend with rewards over 35 or 50. Also the tree from a gift , mention grows a few days and then is gone one day to a pile of dust with a seedling. I have regrown it going on the 4th time..thought it is how it works LOL But something is up with the renows not being deliverd if they are over 35 or 50..I asked a player and they had no idea. I am using steam, and have a nice PC so most games work, this one pretty much runs well, with the exception of the renows being not sent. You can send me a message and I will show you my avatar and merits and you can check if there is a script error being used to keep the renows from arriving to me, as I am a newer player. Hi! Ive been wondering if whether we know the next update going to fix the loading issues and such
Ive been having this problem ever since last hotfix and even though i changed to dx11 it hasnt been fixed, still getting stuck on loading screen and even when waiting for it to load it only loads a blank screen where it looks purpleish blueish, cant intract with anything, cant move, cant see anything, unstuck button doesnt help

To repair, go to your steam library and right click on palia, select properties, go to the installed files tab, then at the bottom there should be something like check file integrity or verify files or something, not at my pc atm so not sure of the exact wording

It just checks for corrupted/missing files and re-downloads them if necessary

You have to buy the courier slots—any pet will function as a courier once you have the slots. You can get four free slots with a quest in the Elderwoods that gives you a free galdur pet. You can also get four slots in the Founders Pack and four more slots in the Royal Highlands packs (one or the other—you only get them once even if you buy both packs). You can have a max of 12 slots currently with all of these.

Inside a house? You can’t place the functional items like chests and crafters on builders items inside a building. They will teleport to the lampzone (the front spawn area of your plot). They will reappear probably after you have left for Kilima and returned (possibly a couple times) and you will find them floating at the front of your plot.

They can be on builders items outside, but not inside. Inside they have to be touching the floor.

Also they will place fine and look like they will stay until you leave your plot. They teleport once you switch servers by leaving or relogging.

Friend, I discovered the error, the game had corrupted files.

To resolve this, simply open the classic control panel and uninstall the game there.

My game keeps crashing on me and even when I try to get on to figure out why it freezes and crashes. I've reset my PC three different times with the same result and I don't know what else to do. What do I need to do to get it to stop doing this?

Oh, I had this happen a while back! I only had 10 GB of storage left on my hard drive and that was the end of Palia. I'm glad you figured it out!

There are some players stuck in an old server, fast travel does not work, return to plot from map doesn't work, and trying to manually walk to a different transition area doesn't work. we are stuck

You can reply within that original ticket or to the auto-reply email they sent you to let them know you still need help, and to keep the ticket active.
They're likely experiencing a very high volume of tickets due to the surge of players from the RH release, so responses may take a little longer than usual unfortunately

on another note, unstuck or relogging works for the ranch desync bug, generally though when that happens for me I just keep falling endlessly, which seems to be happening to the other person

So i noticed something weird with my game today
I did had server crash and loading issue with my game where screen would get stuck on loading screen when trying to change server/change map/ do any of such a things
Despite being on dx11 all of that would happen still
But i got forced to use Vpn mid game and all of those issues just disappeared
Is there a regional issue? Or is that just a game issue? Im from Turkey and i find this just interesting random fix for my issue

Ok I came back to Palia about a week ago. And I am constantly having issues with the game not bringing up the log in screen. I've uninstall, reinstalled, went through all my updates, from graphic to bios. I even uninstall all my other games. I hit delete to skip the cinematic, goes to black screen, I let the cinematic play it freezes about half way. Tried run in direct x 11 and normal. I've tried the steam version and launcher version . And now no matter what I do can't get it to bring in log in screen. Any help is appreciated.

Welcome back! Often a black screen when launching is caused by not having working audio output. Can you check if you have speakers or headphones connected and turned on before launching?

Palia uses Amazon Web Services to host their servers. So if your country has restrictions on AWS, that could be the issue.

I'm trying to edit my player profile bio on the pc and every time I change it and hit "confirm" and then go to exit it's telling me I have unsaved progress? How do I "save" the bio other than hitting the confirm button? It keeps fully erasing my entire bio every time I try and change it

It was weirdly ONLY the player profile screen that was cut off, I usually play on my PS5 but I hopped on the PC to add some emojis and stuff and that's when I ran into the issue lol

Not sure if this is the right channel for this–

But when I play on switch I cant change my pet or my mount
I see the page where I should be able to and I can switch the other things on that page, but not my pet or mount

Is there a way around this?
