It can be any fish but you need a second mixing station, that's why the mixing bowl is red

The recipe won't start until you have the second station, eventually you need 2 of each station since the part of the recipe that starts it stays behind on that station.

did you take the rear exit to bahari rather than the front exit to kilima? iirc it won't check off the task if you go to bahari, because the exit to bahari didn't exist at the time the quest was made.

just walk back to your housing plot and try again through the other exit. this image shows where you need to walk into to get back to your plot (assuming you're in bahari)

Star quality foragables issue?

Switch player here- not sure if this is a Switch specific issue or system wide.

I've recently noticed that I can't distinguish between star quality and regular foragables; mushrooms, sweet leaf, etc.

I used to be able to see small sparkles or twinkles on Star quality items prior to picking them up, but recently I noticed there is no difference between star quality and common items. So I can't tell when walking up to an item if it is Star quality or not without picking it. Is this a recent Switch issue or is this game wide?

What you can do is make sure the server sync with your friend and go to their plot via server list of the board instead ✨

I think it depends on where you look when you place them, for example if you lay a row of builders blocks on the ground, look at the side of the block while placing them, they should be connected and leave no gap, while looking at the ground placing will separate them and leave a small unnoticeable gap.

Just because you got the achievement for finding a certain amount of chests in the map zone doesn't necessarily mean you found every one possible- there's more chests than are needed for that accomplishment in each map zone

Is there a channel for suggestions for the game? I would like to suggest something.

It's really tedious to have to modify furniture before decorating with it. I just spent hours decorating before I realized the furniture item I used (industrial shelves) would have looked much better in the autumn swatch rather than the original, and I would have to undo all of it if I wanted to change the swatch.

I suggest there be an alternative furniture modification process that can be accessed by right clicking a placed furniture item with the modification kit in hand, or by pressing a designated key like "H to modify", and in order to so, the modification bench must be placed down on the plot or maybe nearby.

When you click/press to modify, there would be a popup window (kind of like the one for changing wall types/window types on buildings) that shows the different swatches you can choose. When you click a swatch, it should be able to preview on the furniture item that's placed down, regardless of if there is items on it, and you can click/press a button/key to confirm if you want that swatch.

Regular seeds can sometimes produce quality crops. There's a percent chance that a harvested crop will be quality. You can also use fertilizer or plant adjacent crops such as cotton to add a Quality buff.

only if your gardening level is around 25 or more. star quality seeds increase the chance of star crops by about 50%, gardening level increases the chance of star crops by about 2% per level. (so at around level 50 you always get star crops from regular seeds)

Anyone got tips on catching the fish for the first bundle? I'm using worms on Crystal (Kilima?) lake (the lake along the coast of the town) and have been fishing for about an hour to an hour and a half now with no luck on the shimmerfin still. Not sure if it's just bad luck or if I'm missin' something like if I'm just fishing in the wrong location

And if you look at my setup, I had to use medium rooms to connect to the large room at the back because the large rooms wouldn't connect to the middle large room because the frame of the GHH was in the way

I figured out how to make a hotel with two out buildings that flow well together like a large inn and suites- with some wiggling many have been able to make just about what they want with layouts even without glitching just by placing things creatively close together! You can try taking a peek and/or asking in #🏡│decor about how to get closer to what you want for layouts, and if you wanted to get into glitching/ghosting rooms for more options yet, decor is also the place to be!

Thats a flow infused tree!! They spawn once per in game day in Killima valley and a grove of them spawns in Bahari Bay every in game day at midnight, but they require multiple people (and i think an upgraded axe?) to chop down so people often say in chat when and where they’ve found one/a grove so that others can come help and loot :)

I think it's going to depend on how you value your time and money. It is effectively 1325 coins for $5 as long as you are religious about your logins every day. Landscapes are 1700 coins, so it will take $10 to buy a $16.49 landscape. The program loses value for the player quickly the more missed logins there are. Based on available information, there won't be a $0 way to access the additional coins, but if you commit to playing a lot it may be a good value for you if you want to be a light spender in the game.

each color is a different reward, when u select them it tells u what u will get
blue is tickets
yellow gold
pink renown iirc

then u can interact with the shrine infront of the tree
the next ingame day or 2 u will be able to claim a gift at the shrine left to the wishtree

when you sign up to the party, you usually will be put in a station and will only do what you signed up for (ex. doing the sweet leaves part of the cake). over-prepping means that you can make extra of the ingredient but still receive the cake (at least from what i understand)

Most of the time you can use unstarred anyway if that's all you have, but it doesn't work the other way around. If you don't check the little star quality box when beginning a recipe, you can only use unstarred things. Depending on what the component is may affect the overall quality of the dish. Cake parties will typically check the star box to aim for the best quality outcome.

Diving into a cake party this early is pretty brave. When I decided to hit the cake, I spent some time gathering sweet leaf around northern bahari. Probably a hundred or so. It's a nice singular role. First one to take a turn in the cake party rotation so you start every round and I just spent the rest of it watching and learning.

I'll also tack on that the speed you acquire meaningful amounts of tickets is slower than grinding out something like fishing or hunting.

come back to the market after at least one in game day, you should get a notification that your wish is ready. you can then collect it from a pedestal thing next to the wish tree.it will give you an item you can open to get your reward

yeah the compass doesn't help with finding gems. you just have to keep mining copper nodes until an emerald drops, it's RNG. it can drop from any size copper, so don't skip the little ones

Since yesterday, every time I use my pickaxe for grinding, all of my tools stop working and I have to quit game and get back into it, and its almost always when I use a compass. its just happened again but now I am stuck under the map and the 'Unstuck' isnt working. Does anyone know what I can do?

if you get stuck under the map and can't use unstuck, just open the map and teleport home

for the tool problem, i've heard double jumping to deploy your glider will let you use your tools again

As your gardening lv high enough (above lv 20), all harvests are star-quality, you are just that good now. :v

you can also request them from other players. though considering it's mainly late game players with spare crops to give, and they're only getting star quality crops too, you may not have much success with that

Gatherables don't need to be starred for cooking purposes, but you can use starred and unstarred ingredients if that's what you have at the time of prepping that item when you chose the "use starred ingredients" toggle (if you didn't already know!)

You can start the dish with starred ingredients selected and they can still complete a role in the dish even if they don't have the starred version of the ingredient

I still recommend storing started dari clove, heat root, all blue mushrooms in your lockbox. Search for palia party website, link an account, join cooking parties such as pokebowls. Large groups of people join together to complete cooking parties and it's very profitable. Just sign up for an op( over prep) role that you have the ingredients for and ask questions before/during the party. Plenty of people there willing to help 😁

Store those ingredients and only use them during parties as the value of ingredients increases the sell cost of the dishes they go into

Is there a trick to the chaapa hunt? I can pick some up some of the time, but like 90% of the time when I run toward one together with others, they will pick it up even if I'm ahead. I have trees on my plot which require other methods to water such as changing my distance with the watering can or jumping. I'm not sure if that can bypass the glitch you are experiencing though.
