Also, I have another question: how can we deal with game crashes? I’m playing on the lowest graphics settings.
How realistic is it to make the game as stable and polished as, say, Dota 2? I don’t remember the last time it crashed. Here, crashes happen several times a day.
Is this due to high system requirements or technical bugs in the game?

I am not 100% sure I know the bug you are referring to, but the most critical bugs have been solved in testnet. Is this bug you are mentioning new and testnet specific, or something you have suffered in mainnet too?

Regarding crashes, we are working on improving stability release after release.

Something that works for me to keep crashes away. Close the game and reopen it after playing 2 games. I do this for all esports titles but especially with Illuvium because for some reason for me, I always crash during the 3rd game. But it doesn't crash at all if I close and reopen the game after game 2

@steel finch @mossy ravine It’s definitely a problem with RAM management. I tried going from 16 to 32 GB of RAM and it didn’t fix it. I also tried lowering the frequencies and it didn’t fix it either (it only partially improved). The definitive solution for me, which worked 100% of the time, was cleaning the RAM before launching the game. In fact, after cleaning the RAM, I was even able to run Illuvium on medium graphics with 8 GB of RAM without any crashes. Why don’t they implement an automatic RAM cleanup when the game starts? Maybe the solution is as simple as that. Cheers.

This bug is in the mainnet. How does it work? I combine two augmentations of the same color. And sometimes the selection disappears. I’m not able to choose anything. So I click on an empty spot (where one of the options should be), and the game gives me an augmentation. But I can’t make a conscious choice.

I used to be able to transfer fuel from Zero to Overworld (before the merge) I have not played in a while and I'm just trying to understand how to transfer my fuel and if "burning" it is the same thing.. I've just burned 1000 units of each fuel type and I'm not exactly sure what that entails..

Direct transfer of actual 'fuel' to the overworld was halted after the fuel migration.
Land owners now 'burn' their fuel to receive a portion of the Revenue the DOA makes. You place on a leadeboard (see below link) that qualifies you based on how much fuel you've burnt for the weekly cycle. This resets every Wednesday (can see a countdown to reset on the leaderboard page)

There is also a leaderboard for landowners 'fuel produced' which offers rewards, and does not require burning. But unfortunatly, it is not a direct transfer for Land fuel > Overworld runs anymore.

It is harder than it should be. The upcoming change to zkEVM will make it simpler.

A simple transfer pretty much never works for bridging anything to a different network. There’s gotta be some sort of contract involved.

I’m not sure what steps cause the most trouble for people trying to do this. But the basic process is

1. Use metamask to Bridge from mainnet to immutable X.

2. Use metamask to transfer tokens on immutable X to the passport address on immutable X.

And that’s really it. What many do is they try to transfer mainnet funds to mainnet address for the passport wallet. That never works out well.

Yeah the IlluviDex bridging ui has been messed with so many times that it seems to have lost its way. Tokentrove remains a consistent go to for me. You can choose what type of wallet to login with (metamask to start the bridging and then to transfer tokens the passport address).

Just gotta make sure you don’t use zkEVM yet. Not for illuvium stuff yet.

No illuvials will be wiped; everything you catch now will be yours going into the future, and all future games! I'd reccomend if you wanted to complete the set, to think about doing so in next 12 months (or maybe longer but no confirmed time) before set 1 finishes, and set 2 is released!

As for progress, the overworld as you know it will be completely changed, and will be becoming an MMO-LITe. This is already pretty well built out, and if you go to the Illuvium youtube channel, you can watch some AMA's, Townhalls etc and see some of the progress. We are aiming for a Vertical slice version, with quests, combat, Illuvial companions and bosses/dungeons etc, for some time this year. This will give you a snippet of what you can expect on the full release of the MMO-Lite

Hey — quick question about land optimization if you have a moment.

I’m planning to invest around 1.3k EUR into Illuvium Zero land and I’m trying to decide between:

1x Tier 4, or

a mix of lower-tier plots (T2/T3) for diversification.

My goal is long-term fuel sustainability + utility, not short-term flipping.

From your perspective, what’s the smartest way to maximize that capital?

And assuming I go with a T4:
What are the highest-leverage upgrade priorities you’d focus on early to get the most efficiency over time?
(For example: rushing extractor scaling vs. balanced spread, specialization vs. generalization, common pitfalls, etc.)

Not asking for alpha — just the principles you’d follow yourself if you were optimizing for long-term value.

Appreciate the time — and the work your team is doing to build something with actual depth and permanence.

This question is my jam!

100% from a player perspective a single T4 is the best option. You will get more fuel for the time invested than anything else! It's very easy to manage a single plot and T4s are the most efficient.

However! If you want to get some rewards multiple lower tier plots will give you more points on the leaderboard, allowing you to earn more free ilv tokens. However you will have to log in and farm all the plots at least 3x a day which can be pretty tine consuming.

I currently have to much land! I know this because I almost dread logging in to farm it, but im compelled to keep logging in to maintain my leaderboard position.

In the future IF we ever start making money I'm sure t4s will be the best bet! Especially if you snap them up at these cheap prices, buuuuut it is a little hard to see that future right now so it is a gamble!

Also you need to be aware if the market does become truely bearish and illuvium has not recovered enough before that happens we could see a lot cheaper prices on land!

I'm a software dev and I am, and always have been, interested in developing something for Illuvium - going back to Infoluvial days.

Been looking around today and notice that Illuvidata seems to be dead and Illuvial Master has gone the same way.

I'd love for some thoughts from you guys about what you'd like to see built? To help the game, adoption, the complexity of it all, and whatever else. Web-based would be ideal but not opposed to mobile if that makes sense. Very much down for any AI-based ideas, too. Go big with your ideas - I don't get hyped by gaming guides

I'm leaning towards breaking down the barrier to entry, somehow, for those that come across the game. But, as I say, my fingers have been off the pulse for some time, and I'm very much out of the loop.

If the team have any ideas, too, I'd love to hear them! If there's anyone around on the dev team, would love to understand the current state, or future plans, for any APIs, access to assets, etc.

Seeing as I'm out of the loop, I figured I'd try to see what info was around and catch up on what's happening and how the different game modes will work together. Then it seemed like that's a tall order, so I'm thinking about focusing there. Would you agree that there's a lot of complexity to get through at first, or is it just me?

I had imagined a Google-for-Illuvium-type product that leverages an AI agent, fully equipped with:

• a search engine, for asking anything related to Illuvium
• a learning engine (piping in updates, new content, etc.)
• knowledge of your assets
• makes guides/next steps for you, given all the above
• AI would have access to realtime stats and any game-related data it can
• custom alert creation system (e.g. ask in plain language, "tell me when X does Y")

That sort of thing sound interesting at all, given your knowledge of the game, its state, etc.?

And "Google-for-Illuvium-type" was a terrible description I guess I was just picturing the initial page.

As for your idea, I am not convinced in pure honesty. Dick has built illuvilitics which is a great guide/almanac for all things Illuvium, but less interactive. I'd also say that new players can get answers here in the discord pretty well and Linkky is building a great site to cover all the basic info etc too.

My site is focused on the deeper areas of the game and things to be aware of. That being said my 3rd component is going to be a collection viewer/manager, which I feel will be incredibly useful heading into the next era of Illuvium. Right now, managing the market, current collection, knowledge on all that etc is a fucking nightmare. I think I can solve this, and you seem to have some ideas on this sort of thing too.

Right now my site is focused on realtime stats for the 2 core collections, since its hard to really drill down on it elsewhere.

If I had to guess, I'd say new players would really struggle with all this and that they'd need as much abstracted away as possible, and layers peeled back as and when felt right. That's not to say your site isn't useful to everyone else - I guess I just feel like I'm a new player again and trying to get my head around it all.

Good afternoon. I’d like to share some thoughts. We often criticize Illuvium for various reasons, and indeed, there are many challenges. But the world isn’t just black and white. We need to stay objective and compare Illuvium to similar projects.

I suspect there’s some friendly relationship between Wilder World and Illuvium, considering they’ve used shared or neighboring booths at gaming expos and even copy each other’s quotes. It’s possible they might even share the same puppeteers.

However, recently, the gap between the projects has been growing significantly.
Both projects appeared around the same time. But what paths have they taken?
Illuvium has already launched, made plenty of mistakes, fixed some of them, released the Gauntlet project, and is developing the MMO.
But what has Wilder World done?

Previously, I tested their racing mode — a beautiful race but poorly optimized with minimal content.

1. Now they have a public test for their shooter. I tested it — it’s terrible. No optimization at all. The game doesn’t run smoothly. The map looks empty. Content is incredibly scarce.
2. Their YouTube channel looks almost abandoned. Yes, their trailers have many boosted reviews (not unique to them), but that’s about it.
3. Recently, their token crashed about 7 times in value within minutes. They posted a sad, whining message blaming technical nuances in the pool. But the bottom line remains — either they are unprofessional and shouldn’t be trusted with money, or something even worse (I won’t speculate without evidence).

Overall, while Wilder World and Illuvium once looked roughly equal, Wilder World has clearly lost this race. After so many years, they have created only a mini-map for a laggy shooter and a map for laggy city races, demonstrating a lack of professionalism in investments — that’s a failure.

The thing is everything in web3 gaming, except Illuvium, is hot garbage. I don't believe we should be comparing ourselves to those projects that raised tens or hundreds of millions only to end up as a total disappointment, because they are ran by incompetent fools who have no idea what they are doing.

In our case we should be grateful at Grant and the genius of the art department. Without that we could be in a similar position.

What Labs have built so far has great potential for the future. But it needs to be steered in the right direction or we will end up like the rest of the web3 gaming losers. Fingers crossed and cheers

I don't think the conclusion is completely fair here. As those are the 2 main projects I follow, I think they are both still in the race...and I believe they are both in very similar spot. I think it will be a better comparison when they both have launched their "main thing" or more mainstream experience (The MMO lite and the WW open world experience)

Immutable Zkevm migration will open Illuvium to a lot more liquidity ,players and Smart contract integration as well as account abstraction making the experience a lot more user friendly.

If you mean bonus rewards for capturing them, you currently receive a lot of extra points for the Overworld bounty hunt, if you capture a Holo or a dark holo compared to a standard colour.

It can be minted because there are still some that have not minted their staking rewards. Those rewards are minted when the staker withdraws their claimed rewards. It’s a relatively small number.

Claiming Rewards

When you stake ILV in yield farming, rewards will start accumulating for you. However, you'll need to manually claim these rewards and pay for the GAS fees of these transactions.

You can choose to claim the rewards whenever the pile is big enough to justify the gas fees. If you claim sILV2, it will be unlocked right away and can be used in-game as a substitute currency for ETH outside the marketplace and the Leviathan Arena. If you claim ILV, that batch of ILV will be locked for 12 months and automatically staked in the ILV pool with a token weight of 2.0 for compounding effects. And the process starts over again with new rewards accumulating.

Please note that ILV paid out as part of Illuvium’s Revenue Distribution must also be claimed, but they are not subject to a locking period.

But that does not increase the maximum supply beyond the 10,000,000 possible. Because that 10m included those rewards. In fact the maximum has been reduced over time because plenty of those rewards were claimed as sILV2 (see above bot post about claiming)

The duration you stake for is a seperate bonus to the OG bonus. They are added together (maximum is 3x when they are both combined)

My OG account was compromised, so a few months ago I moved all my ILV to a new account for security reasons and restaked everything in V2 for 12 months to get the maximum rewards. I received my Diamond 1.8x OG boost on the old account, and I can see that it can be linked to my new one.

However, since my V2 stake unlocks in 292 days, it means all my funds will miss out on rewards during the most important period of V3 staking, and my OG boost will go to waste as well.

Is there any way to manually migrate my V2 locked funds so I don’t miss out on the key part of V3? I’ve been here since the very beginning, and it feels wrong to be excluded just because I recently restaked my entire portfolio.

If assisted migration from V2 to V3 isn’t possible, then the fair approach would be to include all locked V2 stakes in the V3 reward programme. There’s no benefit in excluding your biggest supporters ..especially those who voluntarily restaked their funds.

Is this something the team can help with? Should I open a support ticket?

You can change your Ranger/Username by clicking the little pencil icon next to your PFP, on your profile

It'll be a 'fresh' account if you haven't used passport before, but you can adjust wahtever you need. And migrate any assets over from ETH > Passport, if you had some from back in the day

I see. Not much you can do if someone has taken the username on IMX. But, to play Illuvium at this current stage, you need to use IMX, not an ETH wallet.
If it won't let you get the name you had on your old legacy account, not much can be done about that, unless you find who has taken it and see if you can ask them to change.

Or, if you are sure it's a bug and no one else has the name, shoot a support ticket in and see if they can get the name adjusted for you

A lot of the items in an overworld run will not mint until you go back to Sanctum mesa. But you won't lose anything you gather or capture, unless you consume them or fuse the illuvials etc

Your health in a run is shown by the '4000' at the bottom left of your screen. That is your Energy and is consumed when you gather rocks, consumables or capture Illuvials.
If this gets low, your run will start to collapse and end. Once you get below 150 energy, you can walk in the purple rifts called Ergon rifts, to restore some energy
