Outliers can exist for different reason... fat finger accidents, wash trades, quick sells...

Once I get a full data set I'm gonna check and see how bad or good it is...

I have an option to search average pricing based on time window... set at 90 base but can be changed to any... 30 days 180days etc to either increase sample size or see more recent price trends

Ok guys... so the first iteration of my price guide will be a simple averager...

You will be able to search broadly or pinpoint ranges or even exact to get the samples you want

the filters are fun to explore and will give you control over the search params

you can search all time or within a lst X days amount

when the data finishes populating im gonna ask a few of u to go try it please

the more I think about it the more I like the idea of you creating a disk just for acc. (hopefully more bell shaped curve distribution), and it would sell. Most people just buy the standards for the acc. And love the idea you could reward burners with these disks. And you don't have to be super generous, something like 100 burns gets you one disk. @potent tulip thoughts? No new art involved 😉

though would love to see the disk have an occasional glitch, strange acc. 🙂

this would also slow the issue with too many T0s in the illuvidex

and really all the low end illuvitars that end up in standards

and instead of a bell curve, you could have the pity rule like adr has, where if you haven't pulled an x% acc. in a certain number of consecutive disks you get one in the next disk opening

• cleaner search ui
• added an illuvitar container that populates with an illuvitar from the search results
• changed main average price to eth with a current usd equivalent underneath
• added eth column in the list
• days search is past 100 days by default
• added a 'random illuvitar' button if u get bored
• currently backfilling historical usd/eth price to reflect more realistic/true results

I agree. And it's not even about the power of gift illuvitars, but about the fact that because of their power, it is inappropriate to use them in your albums. But collecting albums is the only game moment in the entire structure of Beyond.

I think we could see strong competition across both leaderboards if we do go that route. Would be a great way to end the set, it's such a significant milestone.
It's a good way to use up all of our accessories too if we get all new accessories for set 2.

Maybe i'm biased but a 1/1 Gold Tier 5 stage 3 only having a power difference of less than 900 over a 1/5 tier 4 stage 3 holo.
I think that power gap should be larger between the winner than the gap between the 1/5 holo t4,s3 and 1/10 holo t3.s2, as the rarity/finish is on another level.

I also think the same between the non holos and the holos. I believe the holos warrant a larger power increase.
I don't think they should be linear like this as the rarity/finish/supply isn't linear.

I dont think the rewards should be seen as normal illuvitars. They should be what people fight for, and therefore be powerful regardless if 1st or 50th. Therefore should be linear or else its just going to be a let down for everyone else and stop them from trying the next wave

8k+ is very generous, 7.2k for top 5 is just as generous. There has to be incentives for all rewards. And that top 5 was earned as much as 1st. Just my 2 cents

Having power reflect rarity, finish and supply is only logical.
Having a holo/gold finish be nonconsequential to the overall power just doesn't make sense.
IMO from positions top 10 and above the holo and gold finishes need to be reflected in the overall power, and gold finish being a higher tier than holo, it only follows logically that this would be a larger power advantage over a regular holo finish.

We trying to come to the correct power numbers for reward illuvitars, as there was a bit of mitchmatch between wave 3's ones and wave 4's - and the complain that they wouldnt be as useful.. eventhough they should be viewed imo a bit mor elike trophies or medals - but i understand they are definitely what you want to show off.

In my opinion, the image itself is unique and that's already very good, and their limited number is also good, the question of how to use them in the future is more appropriate.

I can't speak for everyone but I don't think it's necessarily about showing off, but merely the utility of being able to sleeve it and being worthwhile to do so. With this additional utility comes value, and as they are a carat to extract additional spending from us, the higher the perceived value/utility the better they will be at doing so.

I think the gold stretch goal illuvitars are a very good example of this. The wave 3 gold Pho still holds more value than any of the gold stretch goals from wave 4, even though it was minted into oblivion. This is due to the utility of it, as it was so strong and could be sleeved freely it has a higher perceived value.

This is a clear live demonstration that utility is being valued far greater than collectability, so if the intention is to get people to spend more money, the greater the utility, the greater their perceived value and thus people will spend more to get them.

I think Hektor's opinion is as important as the others or maybe more than some of us (or should be). He put a lot of effort, enthusiasm, a lot of money and the most important, also HELPED a lot to the others. Helped to get a better place on the leaderboard. So he thought about not just himself to be the best in Beyond, but thought about the others as a community. Nobody can says that he is a selfish person, so it would be really great if his opinion should matter also and not just a whale/whales' from the past. And last but not least Hektor should be appreciated (and not to be threaten) for those efforts that he has put into Illuvium so far , because Illuvium would lose a really great person/Ranger/Beyonder and would not be the same without him. 🙂

1. Dev and test resources are constrained, making changes takes effort.
2. One person having an opinion doesn't make it right. Even a majority having an opinion doesn't make it right. The team needs to not only consider the opinions of the whole community, they need to ensure (for example) changes don't have a negative long term impact on the the ecosystem.
3. We are talking about a small piece of the overall puzzle.
   (also they have a process by which opinion can be brought forth by the community and used to change the games, it has happened many times, they literally and provably DO care about what people want)

I’ve been here since 2021. I’ve had my fair share of lashing out when something didnt go the way I wanted. But I quickly learned to respect the project and team for what it is. I choose to be here, I cant complain that I’m still here.

Yah I made a particularly conscious choice a while back and made peace with the the major bumps. To be explicit, I lost about 15-20k with zero and I know others lost way more. But those were my choices to invest and I don't blame the team for pivoting and focusing on what has the most chances for success.

Here in Beyond land we have to be real with ourselves. It's a collection game. EVERY collectible has tons of low value things and a few high value. Things start higher during a release phase and then slowly decline as new things are released. It's those special prize pieces that really retain value.

Anyhow, before I ramble too much... I'd rather add to making this place better in the ways that I can cuz it makes it a better place to be.

If we are completely honest... Illuvium is making slow steps towards web2. While there are still fundamental crypto elements the choices being made are catering more toward web2 players and have been for some time.

It's a tough choice right? Full web3 and things are determined by hype and cycle. Full web2... boring and non-ownership, but more stable and wider audience.

Who knows what is the right path... but I will say it's noce to see lots more people playing arena.

From a personal standpoint, I imagine illuvials gain more value, and perhaps the same for illuvitars, once set 2 begins and set 1 is no longer obtainable. If we have an increase in players as time goes on, the demand for some of these set 1 illuvials, their omegas, their synergy combinations etc, will also increase. Since people are gonna make some gnarly comps etc!

At least, that’s the reason I continue to collect and expand my collection; thinking a few years ahead!

and Ofcourse, as leviathan etc heats up, people are far more focused on perfect or close to perfect illuvials. The desire for standard/holo/DH comes in time I would imagine

The think that makes them much rarer is the bonding curve - which is currently active.
When set 1 ends, the ability to catch them goes.
Unless they have something different planned for after mmo-lite launches, but this has always been how it was designed!

I think set 2 anytime soon will be a nail to the cross. Many horrible examples in other web3 games and I don't see a single reason to print even more assets (supply) while we are still ignorning demand. 1000$ leviathan tournaments aint gonna cut it

I would also love to see some decent sinks for illuvials and possibly other assets before anything new is dropped. The release of set 2 and finish of set 1, along with sinks that reduce set 1, would have a great impact on their demand and future rarity as well

I sold it. Market is down. I wouldn't consider that a great bargain, a very reasonable price, but not crazy in todays market.

If things turn around and it goes back up to 1-2k well... I've still got lots of Rhamphyres with better BGs. 🤷
