Hey, I've been an active player in Gods Unchained on immutable. I see that Illuvium has a lot of traction on immutable though in terms of transaction volume. I'm interested in playing the game but want to understand the marketplace well before diving in. Is there a resource or certain asset I should be looking at that is the most heavily traded? D1sks? Land? Illluvitars? etc. - Is almost all buying and selling strictly in ETH or are NFTs traded via SILV2 as well? Happy to read up if anyone could cite a resource link as well

During the sales people can use sILV2 (holds ILV value in USD) to buy disks and land, other than that it's mostly ETH for the marketplace. You don't need any NFT's to play arena and OW for now tho. Illuvitars and illuvials are 2 different things

Well you can play the game just by heading to the Epic games store and downloading. Https://link.illuvium.io/epic-games and then you can access the Overworld by requesting a code from #❓❓〕support . As for the marketplace, I would say most is in ETH yeah or USDC but this is because its secondary market. You may get ppl that want to sell for SILV2 but not many. Land is only required to play Illuvium Zero currently.

Hi Guys Ive been Top 10 for a while now this game is great However these simple flaws with filtering illuvitars etc so I cannot update my album before a snapshot so I can bond my Illuvitar to get more points is not fun especially when I have over 2,000+ illuvitars to look from.If I would do it manually it would take an obscene amount of time. Some of my thinking that I shared in council discussions for those interested:

I believe that it’s much better (order of magnitude) to use fuel sales as a hard line. Anything sold in fuel then uses the 5% cutoff. I’m ok including future Illuvitar sales in fuel. I’m also ok with not.

I believe this 'fuel only' structure for the following reason:

1. Technically - If we only count fuel, we don’t need to do a separate pool and revenue calcs on an ongoing basis. Anything else introduces potentially large tech-debt and future non-linearly scaling complexity.
2. Operationally - No one has to do weekly or monthly payments to landowners. I expect this will always need to be manual due to the calculation issue in Point 3.
3. Clarity - There will forever be division on individual points of what constitutes “in-game revenue”. In every single one of these scenarios, someone is now having to evaluate, vote on whether the item counts for landowners and repeatedly calculate the payments because there is no hard rule.
   Just a few simple examples (note that these are not actual costs in general right now but theoretical future items we could add):
   *Pay to unbond accessories in Beyond
   *Pay for speed-ups in Zero
   *Pay for tournament entry for Arena
   *Pay for Illuvitars to use in a Beyond TCG
   *Buy spells for a Beyond TCG
   *Buy a battle board for Beyond TCG
   I could list 100 other examples and some are more black or white than others but all have shades of gray. Denominating this to be ONLY fuel eliminates uncertainty for everyone. The decision still needs to be made if a thing will be sold in fuel or not but it’s fully clear for everyone which revenues 'count' and which don't. If it's a manual calc process every one of these decisions is going to be debated endlessly.

4. Systemically - A combined fuel/non-fuel system is likely to create market distortions. For instance, say distribution of Illuvitar revenues happens at the end of each month. Two or three times annually there will be a massive spike in revenue. It’s a self-contained system if all players are buying fuel in advance (or during the sale) for Illuvitars. If we’re arbitrarily calculating when to distribute revenue because it’s not denominated in fuel, people can game the system by buying or selling land plots in ways that move the economic gameplay outside of the market for generating, buying and selling fuel for use in the ecosystem to a question on front-running and gaming the broader NFT market. I have nothing fundamentally wrong with this type of economic gameplay. It just makes it much more volatile and inaccessible for players who are not spending all hours of their days searching for Web3 gaming alpha. If the goal is to make a game that players can earn from, we shouldn’t fundamentally have huge chunks of that earning coming from revenue systems that aren’t visible to them outside of scouring discord, on-chain reports, and our monthly accounting write ups for hours to see when they should take a flash-loan to front-run a distribution

I was thinking about how the seed phrases are just a string of words. There aren't that many words in the english dictionary. So how hard would it be to crack a wallet by using a bot to try every combination of random words? Wouldn't that be easier than mining for bitcoin? How real is crypto? lol.

What difference is it if you have a hardware wallet or not if you have the crypto stored off of the device and on the blockchain? Can't you "migrate" from a hardware wallet to a hot wallet? If so then hardware wallets are nothing more than a gimmick.

as Aaron mentioned, if your wallet have history of staking in v1 contract and you receiving "Not eligible" message when using "change wallet" option then unfortunately you have to wait until your stakes are unlocked and try to be faster that the hacker to move your funds (this is limitation of staking contracts and its not our decision to put those limitations in place)

I think it was an oversight for beyond to not leverage fuel for bonding; however, is there a rule in place where "all craftable/bondable/actions must require fuel" if not, then I think we landowners missed out on it. But if we are building a cohesive interoperable blockchain game, maybe we need more guidelines/requirements surrounding this area so that we don't create siloed projects/games in the future

I agree that this mechanism should always be fuel related if possible. If not though, why couldn't there be a backend market purchase of fuel from the in-game ETH revenue in real-time when the purchase happens? This would reward ILZ players selling fuel as ETH revenue occurs and pay for ILZ performance as the game is intended.

There may be future need for in-game ETH sales, and if so periodic airdrops to land holders would be a really ugly way to handle it. It's not based on gameplay and would require fabricated reward ratios for different land tiers, which will be another continual point of disagreement.

also if you can time it right and you do the reasearch illuvitars (especialy packs) are a good investment. I invested 350 into them and so far it has gone up to about 525ish

Isn’t there a way where Illuvium can work together with Palworld tho? Shrapnel is doing something with Fortnite. Looks bullish to me

It feels like this has nothing to do with illuvium, the only reason its connected is becuse they both take insparation from pokimon. Palworlds just seems like a fortnight + pokimon combonation, and its also as previusly mentioned not at all web 3 and has no web 3 intagration, so it is probobly very unrelated
