if you currently have an active report in your dms it will eventually time out (about 5-10 mins from when you last replied to something). you can then start a new report. the speed with which skybot dm's you can be quite inconsistent - I once waited 5 minutes - depending on weather it is online/blocked up. if you press the flame once and the counter for reactions doesn't go back down to 1 you can expect to wait a bit before it will properly work. for now just hold on a few minutes and see if skybot will let you start a new report in 10 mins

Hello! Just wanted to inform samsung users here about Samsungs built in game booster so that you havent missed it. It does a lot of things but the most usefull for sky is the recording function, because sky's recording thing is pretty bad (at least on my phone). Ive had that same phone for about five years and i didnt find this function until just recently so it might be common knowledge but i thought id tell you anyway :D

the bug seems to have carried over from beta - from my experiences it has to do with the cutscene where grandma appears. you temporarily go invisible when the table scene appears in order for the cutscene to be clean even with skids on the table top when the wax event starts. problem is that skykids outside the hollow tree also go invisible, even though they don’t get pulled into the cutscene

There should be a 🚫 button at the top right of your friend constellation, next to the X to close the menu. By tapping on it, you can see all your blocked friends, and tapping the button unblocks them

heyo there, im willing to get a new device so it wont really struggle with running sky. even though im suffering with it for a year already, ive had enough.

Android fragmentation, There's billions or Trillions of Android phones out there with different GPU, Resolution CPU and RAM. iPhones have fixed lineup so that's why Sky have good looking on iOS compare to Sky on Android

Pro advice for Android users out there: if you're gaming, especially on lower RAM size devices, disable any RAM to storage extension (use storage as RAM) as flash NAND is much slower than RAM memory, and WILL cause lags on games. Saying that from my own experience with my Redmi Note 10.

I just found last week that this setting was enabled by default on my phone after an update, and I wasn't even informed that they included the feature on that update.

Whenever I play Sky on Android my WiFi constantly reconnects and disconnects (this is a thing thats been happening this past week). I'm at a different house than I was last week and it seemed to work fine on wifi in the other house.
I'd say it was the WiFi problem, however, everything else on my phone works fine with the wifi and doesn't force it to disconnect.
I'm not sure if this is a known issue, but I just thought I'd bring it up and ask of there's any way I can fix it?

I have data so my game play isn't completely obstructed by this, however if I'm ever with friends it disconnects me from them...

It has very very weak GPU. Choose a phone which has strong GPU. On Google compare your phone GPU with adreno 540 (a quite minimum) to play Sky. And the phone must be 32bit, as mentioned. These are 2 different things, both are essentially important.

Yes. It is. This is your Android system requirement (not Sky). Android needs to have 3gb free space in reserve no matter what, otherwise it doesn't download anything else from Google play.

Partial updates (Delta updates) need double the app size, rounded to the next Gb to properly download the update package, patch the application and verify the update completed properly. Since Sky uses 1.4Gb of space, that would be 2.8Gb, rounded up is 3Gb.

The game won't follow your higher phone refresh rate because that would fry your device and 60fps is the max supported framerate. Display refresh rate and in-game fps is 2 totally different things. Most probably the most you would notice is less motion blur.

Sky gets heavier over time and devices get weaker. Also if you have and high memory/ CPU power hungry apps, disable them while playing sky. Screen recording is already pretty intensive and when combined with screen recording something heavy like sky, even good devices sometimes break a sweat.

The A02s uses a Snapdragon 450. A chipset released in 2017 for budget phones. It's pretty low end. The 450 still uses lpddr3 RAM. Loading areas and textures would take a bit. Performance would be subpar for Sky.

I understand your general statements about games but they are very far from reality in terms of Sky or any similar game development workflow. It was written on a self developed 64bit engine for iOS originally for their chip architecture and then ported on Androids and Switch. PC port would need a complete engine rewrite from scatch to make it work both on 64bit and 32bit, amd and Intel and etc because Sky most probably uses ARM calls. I’m a bit late, but if you’re looking for a new device, be sure to check that the phone comes with the Google Play store as you cannot download Sky outside of the Google Play store on android devices - for example, huawei devices produced after May 16, 2019 DO NOT have Google Play, so if you’re looking at newer huawei phones, they won’t even be able to download Sky (see pins for more details as well as more info about the required specs to run the game)

Adding to this Huawei often results in issues, Huawei (even if has legal Google play store) tends to overlook proper Vulkan graphic renderer updates and because Sky depends heavily on its flawless working, can result in many lags, bugs and crashes.

I disagree, there have been so many switch crashes recently.

The best budget solution is still Android from a manufacturer which doesn't mess up vulkan renderers in Android updates (I have a 4 and 2 year old Android, they both run Sky still stable and strong), so you need to choose manufacturer wisely or buy a used older iPhone

Disable power saving mode for Spotify in device settings.

Not all android phone compatible for Sky. The one that usually overlooked is the 64bit requirement, moto g6 seems to be 32bit (cmiiw). Solution is to use another phone that is compatible. Requirements can be checked in pin of this channel.

Only the G6 Plus is 64 bit. It's chipset is pretty subpar, so you'll get huge frame skips in most heavy load areas, like Sanctuary, Flight Paths, Vault, etc.

I would highly recommend staying away from Motorola Android devices. After Lenovo bought them out, their code is just duct tape and rubberbands now. (I would know, I assisted in the kernel bringup for the Z2 Force for LineageOS and DU. We all got headaches fixing Moto's code)

I have so many non-english speaker friends in Sky and I use Gboard to communicate with them, however I always faced this issue where translating on the Gboard doesn't work, it loads and loads and never translates my messages.
I was okay with this because I fixed it with countless methods, but the problem still comes back, now I've been wondering if this is an internet connection problem or Google's problem,or Sky: Children of the Light itself having issues with translating keyboards, my other friend also complained about having exactly the same only when translating messages in Sky, and I have tried using many different keyboards with a built-in translating engine, but still the messages does not translate.

Beta is an existing but separate Sky app. There's the Live app, and the Beta app. It's used for testing the new/future content. It's open for anyone and everyone but you can only get in with an invite (there have been some instances where a few slots were randomly opened in play store) Which is sent out by a mod/dev in the beta invite channel. As Velvet said, 🐏 isn't very important in sky. Its the GPU that matters or to simplify it, it's the processor. This is true in almost all games. A really good and cheap phone to play sky on would be Poco X3 Pro. It can run the game at 60fps as well.

I read back the conversation and it seems your phone manufacturer delivered an update with sloppy Vulkan renderer. Several brands overlook it.

Is your game laggy as well? Because Android Sky had funny camera movements and gave motion sickness to quite a few before, it isn't very prominent now, the only thing I feel is the camera tend to completely turn on its on accord in some places, but if your device is rather slow in sky, it makes the motion sickness much worse. That's the reason why VR games are recommended to be run at high frame rates. So for solutions, 1. Take frequent breaks and a sip of water every now and then 2.Try to play sky on another device either a switch or any other more capable device.

The Android version of Sky has been having a lot of issue, when will these be resolved?

When it comes to the Android platform we have to make hard decisions. For example what operating systems do we support? currently support as far back as Android 8.0 which was released 2 years before Sky itself. Continuing to support Android 8 means that we are limited to how we fix certain issues and what pieces of technology is available to us, but if we drop Android 8 support that means many that have found the world of Sky will no longer be guests in our world.

Another example of an issue that exists only on Android is that the same devices can have different hardware profiles without getting to technical. This is one of the issues that caused the black screen issues that we had to release a hotfix a few months ago. Even if people had the same device the way those device are manufactured for different regions are actually different. This makes it difficult for us to narrow down and reduce specific issues at playing Android builds as now we not only have the correct device but also have to have the correct version of device and there isn't a great way to know which version of the device the consumer will report of the issue has to be clear and we are not happy with the experience on the Android platform but we don't have quick solutions but we will continue to iterate on fixes.

The Vivo Y83 Pro (Vivo 1726) uses a Helio P22 chipset. It has a PowerVR GPU. Even with proper Vulkan drivers, your friend will have a horrible experience playing Sky. It would average less than 20 FPS in most areas and be a slide show in most graphically intensive areas.

Hi, so you see in order for sky to work, it needs to pass Google plays CTS as well. So unless the test is made unnecessary (which is very unlikely) and the app has to be officially uploaded and maintained by TGC on the App Gallery. Send a message in #live-feedback , they'll have to do it one day, as there is still a market for Huawei.

That's not much of an a device problem^^ That means the message is getting filtered by the bot. Some words can have offensive words within them or are inappropriate on their one. However sky filtering is very wonky and will filter random things^^ Spamming a certain word/phrase will also filter it for a period of time

The Play Store checks more than just device specs. You also need to pass Google's Security checks. I.E. safetynet, CTS and basic root checks all need to pass. (Custom ROMs or OEM ROMs that don't pass Google's Compatibility Test Suite will also see that message)

In other words: get a more secure device.

Only other thing I could think of is missing Vulkan drivers or device wasn't built as 64 bit. Some manufacturers were known for doing that on their devices as a cost cutting measure a few years back. (SD845 is about 3 years old, around the time many manufacturers would build 32 bit to save some development costs)
