This means Nintendo players can use the web store but not see candle packs as per platform policies (it would be the same as if they had bought them on any other platform that is not the Nintendo eShop)

A Sky ID (or recovery code) can be used to re-obtain an account if it is lost for some reason. If someone has this Sky ID that isn't you, they themselves can go to Support with that security code and ask for access to the account. Support does not know who is contacting them, they can only assume it's the account owner asking for help. That recovery process will then go through requiring them to link that Sky ID to an account service to create ease of logging in in the future, and therefore causing the recovery code to essentially not work that well any more, since having any account method linked to your Sky ID says to Support "oh, it's not our problem. contact the account service." The only optional piece is the Sky ID itself, which led me to believe it wasn't as important and dangerous as people made it out to be (even though it still isn't a good idea to share it, of course). From the wording it's just needed to identify the account (because the alternative is a friend submitting a ticket and just telling support which of their friends needs recovery, no ID needed), and the support will then, supposedly, question you further. All I wanted to know was whether that's how support actually operates.
