Sooooo I've got a question about flying. Sometimes, I'll try to pull up from a nose dive to fly in a sort of J arc, but the game just refuses to let me catch and instead of pulling up it just evens me out into a glide. What's going on there; why can't I gain height?

Just the way movement is coded

Some areas have upstreams that allow you to fly up from a nose dive but most don't

Usually you hold the jump button to gain height, not just flying. What I do is go into glide mode and hold the jump button until I'm at the height I want to be and then go back into flying mode

Oh, weird! It shouldn't split you if you both see same buttons.
I wrote these for button number disparity, but might work for you (only the server merge works for me, but others say the other methods work too):

• Go through, get split, wait for a server merge (from personal experience this works, but can take a while).
• Go through, once split everyone go back Home/Aviary. Return to Eden through the return shrine.
• Go through the first area until the 1st winged light, go back Home/Aviary, use the return shrine to return to Eden, rush through the door to the next area (Krill zone). Only works if you share the homespace (supposedly).

The in-game explanation, with the new cutscenes the five lines at the door are already lit, which previously needed all five gems to light up. Since now they appear lit when you awaken the respective elder, you just need to open the door, so you only need one gem.

For the more technical explanation, since 0.23.5 sky has been divided in two versions (groups) to test new features and content for newer players, except the groups have also affected older players as well

Check Aviary Village next to the friendship stone. It's the middle door in old home. If the spirit is not there, you may need to do the Season of Revival quests to build Aviary through the 4th quest, as well as make sure you've at least relived the spirits memory once in Treasure Reef.

i guess the most effective use would be to get the ultimate gifts? do dailies and get 6 seasonal candles until you can buy the ults if you have extras theyll convert into regular candles at the end of the season as well

update: after doing the first abyss quest he was able to see them
he thinks it was because he started the quest and it made the spirits all disappear until it was completed.
just putting it here if the issue ever arises again for others
