You're welcome to also leave #live-feedback about that though if you feel like they should announce it before instead of after.

There isn't really much else that we can do about it here though, since we're not TGC and we don't make those decisions about how to handle this.

like the idea behind donating to charity sounds super cool in hindsight, it sounds super nice sounding without anymore specifics but you have to really be careful about what organizations you are donating to. a lot of them keep a happy and innocent front but can be sketchy when you dig more into what they're actually more about. i personally didn't have a problem with the original organizations that were listed in the blog post and i was especially excited to donate to amnesty international so i'm a little upset those organizations were taken out of the blog post and kinda worried about it. sorry my words aren't the best right now because i havent gotten much sleep but i hope you guys understand where i'm coming from. i'll drop it now, sorry about that

Just like with a Live account, you are not allowed to pass on your beta account to someone else. They are personal. You can just leave the programme instead.

Don't worry too much about it, it's not a huge sin
You can leave the program somehow (I have no idea, sorry) and I believe you're automatically kicked out if you lose the next invite waves, but your account won't be deleted that way (I think, sorry)

Iirc, getting kicked out depends entirely on which platform you use. Not entirely sure with IOS but I've heard inactiveness can lead to being kicked out (correct me if I'm wrong) whereas on Android they can't be kicked out and testers have to leave manually in order for them to leave the testing program.

yeah, you can be removed for inactivity on iOS (details unknown to testers) but Android testers can't be removed due to how the platform's beta testing works

I know why "inactive users will be disqualified" on iOS. This is because all apps downloaded from testFligh have a 90-day expiration date, but if you update it, the expiration date will be reset, and vice versa. If there is no update within 90 days, you will be automatically exited from the test

Tin foil hat time: Maybe one of the last quests are to take prince into Eden and being on that quest triggers a reset and it's causing havoc on the traditional reset. (This is pure speculation since there are still more quests we are waiting to unlock.)

Is it just me or are the past seasonal spirits a darker purple these last couple of updates? My account doesn't have any not relived to double check myself. but, before, it was hard to tell it was a new spirit in bright areas like pineswood spirit or sanct spirits. We have tested and left bug reports for the first 5 weeks of LPP season (if those quests come out weekly). Future seasonal content can be tested during the season being in live. Just how we tested pretty much all of Assembly, except social spaces since live wouldn't see it for up to 7 weeks after the season launches for them. It's been a thing in beta for a long time to not test 100% of the season before it launches in live. Time gated quests or features can be tested at a later date.

My feedback is for the past few releases these two issues may be among the most impactful bugs to hit your live user community. With the former, ubiquitous usage of piggy e.g. flying piggy back, spiral and spasm glitch are no longer practical. And of course with the later, no one will receive ascended candles and all that entails. Good luck TGC dev, I’m sure you got this 😉

My recollection (which is not reliable) is that swing spells showed up same time as swing prop…so first week of Feb 2020. However, since ark spell shop came after Ark, I don’t remember how we got the swing spells then 😯

Hey I’ve got a few questions about Sky Switch.

1. So the Switch pack is bundled with candles, right? And we can only do it in Switch.
2. I’d like to use both my current device and Switch in live, I can login/out to different devices (my switch/phone) without having my current progress gone right?
3. The candles I got from switch pack, can I use it or will it be visible if I play with my current device?

I’d like to consider things before buying, I hope someone can help me out. Thank you.

1. Correct. I can't remember if there were candles, but you can only buy the pack on the switch
2. Also correct. You must link your account on mobile first to a Nintendo account and then load the save on your switch for it to work
3. No. Any candles purchased on one platform will only be usable on that platform. So switch candles will not be added to your candle count on mobile, and mobile candles will not show on the switch. Collected candles will show on both

It would be pretty immersion breaking to make the trails permanent imo. They are nice to look at but distract from the scenery. The default white trail easily blends in with every environment and sometimes even changes its color slightly to match the surroundings, but I can't really say the same about the colored trails.
Imagine being a new player and it's your first time seeing a krill, and in that moment you see a player with a pink trail fly past it :SkyLOL:

Piggyback Glitch is necessary for some OOB's, OOB's that are also acknowledged by TGC. I doubt they'll patch it but it's currently buggy

I haven’t tested Sky on Switch but I believe you’ll have to type your messages by keyboard yeah, however, usually you can use the touchscreen to use the keyboard as well (Switch Lite user here who only plays on handheld mode because my Switch is only capable of handheld )

it's directly related. as i've explained ad nauseam, the reason for the delay on beta is google takes longer to review. late night releases are scheduled to be made available to testers as soon as they are approved by the platform, meaning android releases "late" specifically for beta.

on the flip side, when we release something for Live, google rolls it out globally all at once while apple can take up to 24 hours to release. even if the exact same builds have been approved and ready to release for several days.

since i don't work at google or apple, i cannot explain or influence why or how this happens.

When you do your seasonal quests, known issues: if you don't land on the correct spot on top of sanct summit, you won't sit in the lawn chair. You can relive the seasonal spirit in pineswood while having the prince on piggyback. If you burn the plants where the last one is far away from the gondola, you have a chance of falling oob during the quest cutscene.

Edit: since we can't redo the quests, you can be our guinea pig to make sure they work.

Yeah, currently, the shoes with the PJs look too much like shoes you'd not wear with PJs, which is why I suggest making them more slipper-like or "Slide shoes" I.E. Chanclas. Things people would normally wear when wearing PJs.

When it comes to the characters in this season I'm not wholly convinced they are being only "boring adults", but rather caricatures of certain behaviours in humans, young and old. Usually AP's have always been priced at $9.99 for Individual Pass and $19.99 for Personal AP & 2 Gift Pass, I guess they'd still follow the norm. But keep an eye out if there will be changes

all we know is that there is a prerequisite to make the iap appear in the shop. we do not know what that is or when it will happen, but the green cape will appear after the other iap

Maybe it is just the trademarked characters that will go like little prince and fox, the spirits are sky's interpretation of adults in the book and does the rose QG count as LPP property?

yes you can wear the cosmetics in the nintendo pack on any platform! the only restriction is that the pack must be purchased using the switch

Also flying controls are same in both live and beta i'm not sure what you mean?

I did. I don't know few updates before flying was easier in Live to take turns and land precisely on plants for example. And ive been having some probs to adapt to the new one. It's not very noticeable but it is different

You can use that link to become a tester
I'm sure the process is in #beta-faq

Links are sent by tgc at random times you just have to be lucky enough to get the link, then you'll become a tester
You can get ping roles from #beta-faq to get notified whenever invites come

No you have to finish a certain quest it’s assumed to be the final quest but not confirmed. Nothing to do with the adventure pass

i haven't done the quests yet, mostly because i know that we cannot redo them, and in the event that tgc makes major changes to them later on, i would like to be able to check them. (although i find that unlikely...) the other reason is because i've been feeling pretty burnt out lately, but i do plan on finishing the quests soon.

^can verify, they already made one change that a few of you guys might not have seen: the prince no longer looks as weird when he leaves with the birds -- now he's making a motion like he's hanging onto an invisible string of balloons instead of the butterfly catcher emote >__>

and that's why i really want us to be able to redo the quests, if only for testing purposes. if the majority of testers do the quests from the get go, how can we leave feedback on changes like that?

Beta testers' feedback is very important for TGC to create a good player experience! Please try searching for things yourself instead of asking here when possible, and remember to submit your thoughts in #beta-feedback so the devs know how to improve

Of course it’s ok to do things at your own pace, especially with the main quests, because those always change from the first release. But it is important that we test the season fully and give feedback or report issues on it. That’s kind of our mission as beta players. If you feel overwhelmed, focus in Live instead.
