@odd plinth for the question in #beta-screenshots-videos: the message is a bug on their end, the reset should have happened at 00:00 Sunday. I just wait for that minute to ensure the statues reset, since most people who try that method and fail don't wait for that timer to expire.

Edit: it's hard to explain, but I think that message showing up is part of the reason we don't get a reset or something. I don't know how the engine works since doing so would be against the TOS, so all I'm going off of is what I see, analysing it and making educated guesses.

They might not be able to help you. Generally speaking, they prioritise getting your Live account back, since beta is only for testing. I am unsure if support even handles beta issues like that, but fingers crossed.

If I was a moth, I would like to have sword pants, but I couldn't afford it. Surely there will be many other cool cosmetics and I cannot speak for everyone, though I would still like to have sword pants if I could get it. It's the same desire like for example if people wish to have juggler or fur cape. Additionally, the pants will be likely unobtainable after the Season which would make players, who wish for it and didn't get it in time, disappointed.

Other live players might not be able to get the pants either without knowing a few weeks in advance. If live players found out about the price the moment they finish the last quest, that would cause a bit of panic. They do have the inbox feature though, tgc could easily send all players a message saying "hey, this is a limited item that will be released later, but won't come back after the season. Save your candles!"

Hopefully they will write it in the blogpost about the season, and also explain about the IAPs. So many people who are not familiar with LPP will not understand this new feature.

Informing early will help but that's not how tgc should do it (if they do it this way) They should give enough time so regardless if a player knows the price earlier or not, they'll be able to get the cosmetic. This is limited edition cosmetic so they should inform early but for cosmetics such as rainbow cape, they should give enough time so people can get it in duration of the event.

11 weeks is plenty of time, plus the time in between seasons. It just depends on when players find out about it. Us beta testers know far in advance, so we have the most time to save. Live players that don't look for beta spoilers, not so much. If they find out on say, the second to last week of the season, then they would be more likely to miss out unless they already had candles.

Ah, I'm specifically talking about the pants. The rainbow cape live players now know about the price, but its a harder grind over the course of 2 weeks(??) than what the pants would be

1.) Realize you haven't seen another person in over half an hour
2.) Encounter something that's like, slightly to the left of normal and you go "oh yeah that tree should not be 2 inches tall" or "how did that button get to the other side of the screen" or "STOP GIVING ME REMINDERS TO CHECK THE EMOTE GUIDE"
3.) Try to forge a seasonal candle and instead forge, like, 11 of them

yeah the beta daily quest schedule is not indicative of live (obligatory #beta-faq ) we had a very large number of quests to be tested and the most efficient way is to schedule 4 a day than try to mimic the live schedule for consistency's sake.

It(Sanctuary) really tested the limits of phones barely making the minimum RAM requirements compared to other levels. I think only vault first section comes close to total memory used due to all the elements floating about. I'll have to check VRAM usage at a later date, but I think Vault and Sanct use similar VRAM if memory serves correctly last VRAM check I did. Sanct just has more parts moving than vault due to how the extra parts are used in vault (one floor at a time compared to sanct being one whole area moving)

Vault 1st area is hard on some phones due to how they handle off screen objects (everything from 1st-3rd floor are stored and rendered once you enter). The complexity of Sanct is more of all the scripts running and how large it is. You have the mantas circling, the up-currents, the waterfalls, the big boi manta, crabs, and a bunch of other scripts and assets I am surely missing.

beta runs on its own server. Live is likely inhabited by several orders of magnitude more players at any given time than beta. meaning fewer calls are being made from the client to the sky servers at any given time. less traffic to the servers means less lag.

I don't know if someone is looking into it or how to put this in a bug report, but thorough testing with a few friends and checking device load, the random stutter/freeze the game has for a split second seems to correlate to GPU and CPU usage dropping. Usually for my phone, I see GPU load go from 75% to below 50% and CPU go from 80% to under 50% right when the stutter happens. Oddly, if I am using Android's built in screen recorder, the stutters don't really happen and GPU and CPU load stays consistent.

I would go to #beta-bugs-android and look into the pins for instructions to report it cause I think that is something to report. Sky bot will help you to make one in your dms. I have done a beta bug report before on IOS. Just follow skybots instructions and you will be fine.

#beta-screenshots-videos message I would suggest trying this if you haven't collected statues since Sunday's reset and see if they reset for you. It seems to have a high success rate of manually resetting the statues (so far about 80% success chance, if following directions correctly)

understandable. there's a number of factors that may go into why we don't communicate certain things that i can't really get into. one of them is that design decisions may not be finalized in time for communications deadlines, which is why we'll use disclaimers about "still under development" another might be the urgency (or lack thereof) to obtain an item. for the nonseasonal assembly stuff, there is no urgency to obtain those items, so we would leave that to the community to inform one another (same for things like the total number of winged light in the game). we try to encourage a sense of self discovery and give things for players to talk about, but understand that doesn't work so well for time-limited things so we bolster the communications and degree of specificity.

That's the point of LPP as well. Interesting how TGC expanded on the adult characters in the book. Maybe it's harder to be "inspired" by the other more recognizable vibrant characters, (the main characters). Actually, i have a theory about that lol. It was connected to LPP and didnt have a morbid feature- lemme find my theory again-

2. When we reach the orbit, ofc we will meet those we managed to save in Eden. They will bid us farewell and then leave ACs for us to collect. After we collect the ACs we got an option to do laugh emote. Some people might find this as very random and assume its a bug, but i think it isnt.

As expected, this might actually reffering to the LPP book. One time, before he went to his planet, Little Prince give The Aviator a present for his kindness : his laughter. LPP also said that since he will reside in a star so small, it will feels like all the stars in the sky laughing.

“In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at
the sky at night…you – only you – will have stars that can laugh!”

Basically we mimicking LPP, since in orbit we always be assumed to become a star (heck, skykids are always reffered as children of the Stars, can be seen from Japanese title of Sky)

Nothing to really fix, that's the hardware specs. changing pixel density would cause some graphical oddities and aspect ratio is the dimensions of the screen. Can't really change that. All we can do is inform TGC of the issue and how it changes per device.

I just told you where the fairy ring is. The island with the medi spot is on the opposite island. There are three island - well, four, if you count the ramp to the temple - and only one has the medi spot, but funnily enough it's not actually on the island with the fairy ring.

I found a way to show TS back at home. It’s the same method I wrote for previous build only with a different step. Switching back and forth between sign in methods let’s you re enter completely and TS appears back at home.

• Open beta, tap on “sign in method” on the bottom of start up screen.
• Choose “sign in local account”
• TS appears back at home.
• If this doesn’t work, restart again and choose the method your account is linked to (Game Center, Gmail etc.).

Just to add some extra context: the Prince's face isn't actually a mask. He'll mimic your emotes if you do one while holding hands with him, and doing either Lv3-4 Facepalm or Lv1-2 Sneeze doesn't cause his face to move (whereas your own mask will move with the emotes if you're wearing one)

@vast grail Just tested and moth get a candle for spirit relived for the first time both on Live and on beta. There’s no animation, candle count just automatically goes up by one (with a sound cue). Just not very noticeable since there’s no animation. So I think it’s more a matter of perception than an actual bug.

I don’t think it should be locked until they finish all regular spirits. Some people are not completionist. Right now you have the option to choose which one’s memories you want to live or not. Since you don’t need every spirit to catch a TS, this shouldn’t be locked either. I agree that it may be confusing for new players but making them look more different and maybe with a text prompt, you can inform the player that it’s from past season. Or it could be added to “how to” section of the game to inform what their color stands for

Of course you need more candles but you have significantly more time to get them. If you need 80% of max available candles to complete the season it's not either if a season is 70 days or 77 days. Seasons are meant to be played, not to be skipped but +7 days means you can be inactive in more days. Moreover the le petite prince season is even more forgiving than the previously given example (assembly was needed 80%, little prince needs less ratio).

The Faerie's Ring? It's the meditation point in what most players commonly call the "Prairie Village" or the bell tower islands (the left island in the area where you can summon the mantas)
From what I've seen from the Japanese playerbase, that cluster of islands may have been referred to as the "Fairy's Ring" at one point -- but amongst the English playerbase, "Fairy Ring" seems to refer to a specific circle of mushrooms/flowers that show up in that area

1. The spirit manta meditation spot used to be on the level with the spirit mantas, but at one point in time the two shrines somehow merged and it wouldn't matter where you did the quest. So eventually, TGC removed the original one, but kept the name.
2. I always called it a river in that part of the Forest. It's not a puddle...

Oh, yeah, I can see where that "confusion" comes from. The fairy ring is still on the same island with the laugh spirit, but the islands have moved around, which you can see when she pans out over all of them. They were kind of huddled together more in an actual circle, which would also explain why Japanese players apparently call the whole of Village a fairy ring.

I so miss that memory from the spirit. Also, I wonder if I'm in any of her older videos. We're not close friends, but I've had her in my constellation since forever.

If you have missing spirits:

• a ? will appear above your head
• other players around you who have the spirit already will see the ?
• the other player taps on the ? to agree to be your guider
• you both see do you accept pop up
• if you tap yes, you will autohold hands and light each other up without the need to spend candles
• the guider can then see the symbol of the missing spirit ( or honk to locate it)
• once the guider delivers you to the spirit and you start reliving the spirit memories, autohold will stop
• you complete the spirit
• the guider is released and can move on.

If you already have all the spirits in a realm/area:
You will see a pop up saying you already have found all the spirits in this level and an option to close the pop up.

If you turn on the ? In home:
No one else can see it as you cannot tell which realm the spirit is missing in?

Saving them for event items... Also hearts. Only way to test out the black tier 2 or white tier 2 is have 150 hearts (450 candles worth of trading)
