Also on the topic of "fake vets" like. I dont think you need to have participated the beginning of sky to be a vet. Its the experience that makes you one like im a little prince player and id consider myself a veteran because im now helping my fellow moth friends travel sky and teaching them all i know so whoever that person was probs should broaden theor definition of a sky vet

Well I also think the term "vet" has gone to a point where people use it as a way to seem better because they've been here longer. It used to be someone who's been around a while and helps guide new players. But honestly, we're all just players, it doesn't matter when we started the game.

I personally see “vets” as a side status rather than what separates from the rest and is someone who happened to play longer than others. To some it’s cosmetics like ultimate gifts and how many seasons one has played, while to others it could mean simply the amount of knowledge of the game and how long some has played, regardless of how many seasons they played through, since you can play through the game without doing the seasonal quests.

I always felt weird when people go like “how will the vets feel” as if it’s some “celeb vs regular person” thing, since without the vet thing in the equation, they’re just players who played the same game as others.

For me I feel a lot had to do with actually seeing people not want tlp moths to refer to themselves as vets. Maybe it was just my brain latching onto a few offhand comments I saw in genchat but I distinctly remember around our first year anniversary there were some people arguing about if tlp moths were vets and it made me just feel like using the term was just for people who wanted to seem super old and special and that newer players who weren't from like sanctuary or older would just never be able to use it without some older players gatekeep or laugh.

That's just my experience though. I know not all older players are like that, but does suck that some managed to leave an impression on me with how they talked about us.

I am... Tired of crowd function. I liked it for aurora or places it makes sense. I wish they'd give us a QOL to turn it off because I do feel they'll do it for aviary. While I feel it makes sense to do it for what is proposed to be a bustling city I feel I would be way more on board if they hadn't forced it into passage where it felt really unnecessary to me..

I had a weird season idea called “Season of Eruption” or something where there’s a volcanic area and we can restore light or rest in lava pools. Then we learn we have to prevent disaster in a village from a volcano that was at risk of erupting. The cosmetics would be fire themed and ultimate gift being a cape of flowing lava

I think passage quests are fine as long as you don't do them while the season is active
there's significantly less people otherwise and it's more tolerable

Honestly I think having crowd mode in a super reduced form of like servers with 20 people for moments would have been good IF they did the thing where they made the other server Skykids into animals like they did with some passage quests. That way it would be like ooo look animals around moments because I was hoping for way more wildlife in that season.

Nature themed season and we see spirits associated with days of nature and bloom. And we find ways to snuff out fires in the forests. Maybe as some call to society to pay attention to the wildfires that were happening to the world.

Thing is tho, said closets also allow you to make outfits using items you don't own yet, there's multiple new shops, the area itself is super dang pretty, there's quick access to the wind paths, a shared memory shrine, quicker access to harmony hall, and heck, there's even an event that's gonna happen there that adds in some more cool things (also I forgor if I forgot to turn off pings)

There are 4 fireworks tickets in the Aviary Village and one you can get when you participate in the activity (in Isle)

Aviary is intended to be the new area players first start in & go through the tutorial. So it makes sense that after the tutorial quests, they’re taught about past seasonal questlines and to complete them, understanding more of Sky’s past & discovering different areas of the realms. I think it’s the best way to help players learn about what else is out there in the Sky Kingdom, as social platforms don’t really guide players towards doing those past questlines too much.

There are 4 around aviary, and 1 more for helping the Enchantment spirit (the quest starts from a box outside of their shop (the boat shop)

The 4 tickets are

1. On the tower, one of the middle sections
2. In the lake on the right
3. On top of the shops on the right

This reminded me of something funny that happened to me. I remember joining beta and during Season of Remembrance, there were people who got the ult gift before anyone else. I was told here that they hacked the game.

I asked for signs of a hacker so I'd know what to look for and someone said some will walk on their knees. Or they'll be like what was mentioned above. Someone also said that they'll have a rain of items coming down to them.

One day, a new season started so I got the season pass and the appropriate amount of items items rained down on me. Someone was at home and saw and tried to light me. I obviously didn't hack anything, but I thought that they thought I did, so I ran like a criminal.

And then they chased me. After running in and out of a few realms I just closed the game. 😆 maybe they just wanted to be my friend, but my paranoia wouldn't allow it. Being a new beta tester is fun like that.

It does seem to be a finicky bug you’re experiencing! If you haven’t already, please send in a bug report ( #beta-bugs-ios or #beta-bugs-android) as it’s the only way to bring in to the devs attention

In the #beta-faq you can get yourself the “beta invites”-role. If you have that role, you will be pinged whenever a new invite wave happens!

If you’re on iOS, you need to install TestFlight too, but the beta only opens up sporadically so at the moment it’s not possible to get in!

Not at all! Beta timers are mooore than often wrong. Now we see 'available in 17 days', when usually we see 'in less than one minute'
The new quest probably won't be available until the next update!

For reference: sometimes it stays october 31st for example for weeks in Beta. Timers are nearly always wrong!

Personally I really like it. TGC said they want to make the Aviary Village a new starting point for the game, and being so gently introduced to the earlier stories and seasons of Sky is really beneficial.

New players often see Eden as really intimidating and there’s no real explanation that the past seasonal spirits show up in the realms. The order makes sense now:

1. Run the main game and get introduced to “the end” / Eden. After Eden, you don’t just spawn in home, the player sees that suddenly a whole bunch of spirits show up (all the ones you’ve saved).

And then the player learns that the story isn’t over, because in the (2) second part / 5th quest, they learn that there are many more areas to discover and a lot more to learn about stories of Sky in the past four years

Yeah I think it’s good! There’s a bug right now in the TLP quests too, it’s beneficial in both ways tbh. If there’s a bug in past seasonal quests, it’s easier to discover in beta and fix it before it goes to live.

I actually enjoy the quests in this season. It’s something significant yet simple and helps clearing many confusion moths may have. I really wish I had this as a moth. It’s not a direct lead on what you have to do but still fun non the less! And in future, the more areas open up - moths will be able to find them on their own way after completing Aviary quests! It doesn’t have to be “all seasonal guides are out there” but a great start to open vital areas they may not notice while exploring in sky

Discovering things on your own in Sky is what I thought was amazing. The hearts I didn’t really care for personally, but I can imagine its a big incentive for not-super-new-players

The mystery about what we can discover should stay intact, but I agree that there should be a thing that points players to “hey there’s more!”. Maybe the aviary already does that it’s hard to put myself in the shoes of a new player

Those who set their home in Aviary couldn’t go back to OG home throughout meditation circle in Aviary. And even using wind paths in aviary would teleport you back to set spawn point in aviary

Yeah! There are white candles that allow you to set your preferred home
But aviary is a bit buggy rn
The only way to get to OG home if you chose aviary is by vault summit: watching elder cutscene and using a portal in the small room you get teleported to

I’m on iPadOS and haven’t gotten anything asking me to make a new account. I do think I remember that my gamecenter account got unlinked when I logged in one time but can remember if that was beta or live. I just skipped over it and didn’t think about it again. Looking at my linked accounts it looks like Google is my only one in beta. Which makes sense to me cause I started as an Android tester. What account did you have linked?

Hi beta chat, has anyone found a fix to the aviary home bug? The vault does not work for me. I need an actual fix.

I think an actual fix will be issued by the devs, in a future build. We can only help you with suggestions to make it work (temporarily) through in-game means, but it is really a bug!

Meditating to go home and then jumping off the homeplate asap + repeating this worked for me, but definitely report this as a bug if you want a fix for it!

Just know that once you make home your home, you'll need to go to Aviary to see the dailies. There's currently a bug where you can't get the dailies at home.

The thing is for me it worked perfectly, I had no more bugs and could switch between homes just fine after a while!

to make the old home your spawn permanently, you need to set it, go to any realm, and then go back home

I respawned at home. But I found that usually you have to go through a portal after you are back at home and light the candle to make it your permenant home in general.

So I did:

• return pad at aviary to return or original home during bell chimes
• light white candle and original home to set as permenant
• go through a realm portal.

Then now when I close out of app original is my permenant home instead of aviary

What I did to go back home was going through the meditation circle but when I was about to load into home I hold the stick to the left and the jump button and that worked for me

ah a classic issue weve been all having lol, the work around that I know is to go to the home portal at after the end of vault, or keep trying using the warp pad (i heard it took someone like~15 times to get warped home from that pad but this was post update)
