yeah! considering that first seasons didn't have quests or areas
honestly rerunning a season can work well for the company (maybe)
since they won't have to animate, or make a lot of new cosmetics, and they can focus on improving gameplay and making experience better, perhaps improving realms as well instead of adding a new area

Same here! But the problem lies in sustainability. If they keep adding new seasons (and spirits) with only the Traveling Spirit as the way to get old cosmetics, no one will ever be happy, and some spirits will hardly ever show up.

There needs to be some other solution to the growing spirit crowd, but the season reruns is the only truly plausible idea so far.

Maybe instead of rerunning them all, they'll be added to a Traveling Season pool after they hit a certain age?

But, if Traveling Seasons become a thing, candle economics will need a HUGE boost.

Yeah i think the og ults should not change at all, but during the 2.0 season have a whole different ults and cosmetics generally on similar fashion of the og season, but also offer a season pass to newer players who want both the OG season cosmetics and the 2.0 ones

Was I the only one who enjoyed the trials? Fire was my jam, until the update that changed the candle colour. My screen is usually in dim/nighttime mode so it's made it even harder to see them. Still fun though.

1 doing quests based on how they all became prophets

2 expand the trials to have different route options

4 aka the silly one with lots of work: Moff chooses element Sensei and get a fancy associated outfit and is locked out of the other 3. Have a lil season about exploring the selected element

This is the reason why I want friendship fragments to take the place of candles in the friendship tree from doing things like opening two-player doors or four player doors or a player puzzle or sitting at a bench with someone which would cause the bench to produce friendship fragments. I want it so bad because it's so frustrating when a friend chooses a cosmetic over your friendship. That happened to me with another person. They chose the rainbow Cape over upgrading our friendship and I was really hurt by that.

I don't want season upgrades but I do want season reruns tied to days of events. Upgraded Seasons would be a terrible idea only because it would create a cycle of people wanting ultimates again and it doesn't really fix the problem. Just like owl hair is no longer attainable for people who didn't get it during performance. I personally am against the idea of anything being exclusive to in-app purchases however I understand from a business perspective why there are in-app purchases. I just feel like old should be obtainable after the season like every other item is excluding collaborations which are just a different story

I feel like this would also make a lot more sense from a gameplay perspective as it would encourage people to open doors and work together instead of chibi falling or glitching into areas

i think a good idea would simply just to have different friendship tiers still be unlockable, just without the currency attached to it. one friend wants to unlock the next level, the other can agree or disagree to it. there shouldn't be a choice between "should i buy this item i want, or should i prioritize my friendship with this person?" because friendship shouldn't be about buying affection with money, and the game shouldn't have to force decisions between two core aspects of gameplay.

friendship isn't about emptying your pockets to become better friends with someone, and friendship shouldn't be judged by how many tiers on the tree you have unlocked. if i meet someone in prairie lobby for the first time and become friends, we shouldn't have to climb the entire friendship tree just to have a fun little dance together, we shouldn't have to spend days worth of candlerunning just to become better friends.

So you might temporality gift something to the other person but what might happen is the item might end up missing from your closet entirely and then showing up in the receiver’s closet longer than the time you set

This input is entirely about ult items since those would also work with the proposed function. I feel like a lot of the problems with ult exclusivity would be solved if way more of them were brought back as spells, even if it was for way more AC than resize potions. That way they're still exclusive but people who didn't get it would still be able to use the items.

i know that personallu, it would really solve my feral nature when it comes to the creature-based capes that have been ults so far (sanctuary and shattering) so i'm sure it would help for other people

i wish chibi mask was like.. a permanent height spell tbh, like you could switch from normal to chibi at any time, and it wouldnt occupy the mask area, allowing you to switch to any mask you like
same with huge height, a permanent huge spell that you could switch to at any time you wish

because it doesnt make sense, to me at least, that the chibi height has to be tied to a mask and permanently occupy the mask area, removing any possibility of keeping both the chibi height and a mask you like

during the lighting bug I paired geographer's cape with stagehand pants and that worked extremely well
then just have the pleading child scarf + bereft hair + fortune rabbit mask

it works well because the orange of the scarf ties together with the paint rag on stagehand robe, and also links together with the orange on the rabbit mask
it's three colour dominant with dark body + cape > white head > orange accent

which is to say /turns the colour theory nerding off/
when things don't match, it's about the connecting colours in other outfit parts to make it work together

We technically had that in Belonging, spirits were released on a weekly schedule meaning the ult reward won't be obtainable for awhile, it wasn't received positively if I recall, but that's what I only saw from the server, unsure how it was outside of that

it's gonna be so long before i get to send this but like.. what if (and this is highly unlikely), but what if they did a season that takes place in all the realms, a single guide in home to direct you to other mini guides, the home guide has the seasonal ults, and all the other guides have mini ults that stick around after the season and cost regular currency. each mini guide could have 2 quests each similar to the remembrance system, and each realm could have a miniature seasonal area, with one collectable spirit in each, making 6 spirits total, basically old seasons but more y'know? (o and also all the mini seasonal areas would be unlocked on the first day to allow quick spirit collection)

I recall not liking Belonging’s staggered spirit release because it made unlocking cosmetics very very linear. Everyone would have the same new items at the same time. With access to all spirits at once, people get to choose for themselves which order they get the cosmetics.

I'm not arguing, but 10 minutes is completely unnecessary. Talking about upcoming seasons is absolutely something that can and should be discussed in beta, as we see the process that seasons go through when polished. Expressing our wishes and requests is a core part of this channel and always has been. With the ability to talk about our wants, it creates better beta feedback for development to see what the players want. Restricting the chat to 10 minutes is also overly restrictive because there is no harm in discussing non-beta topics here, provided they are centered around improving the game. That is what beta testing is for.

@vapid river I see a lot of posts from people talking about parts of the game they dislike or see as problems, and not just in this beta channel. That said, if I or my coworkers have ever posted something in these channels that read as us telling you to not discuss things you don't like about the game, please do let me know so that I/we can go edit those messages to NOT accidentally convey that anymore. We take a lot of care to make it clear that people can talk about changes they disagree with, and only remove posts if they break the server rules (profanity and filtered language, insulting other community members, etc.).

As far addressing criticisms, I/we do our best to engage with conversations about it in the chat, while also trying to be careful that we don't come across as trying to shut those conversations down, and also not saying something that turns out to be inaccurate. We also can't be in the chat channels all the time, which is why I always encourage folks to post those thoughts in the feedback channels so that we can be sure to see them and get them to the different teams who work on different aspects of the game.

Humm, I think it's important to caution that just because the slowmode is long, it doesn't necessarily mean there is a giant update coming. If there isn't a large update following this, it's not a reason to be upset because your expectations aren't met.
Besides, it's not the first time beta chats had a sleepy cooldown in-between testing cycles, and it's always a good reminder to take a little mini-vacation.

Something to be grateful for: the chat is still remaining open-it could be temporarily closed entirely due to there being nothing to test!

Having this channel has kept my mind healthy because it is a place I can consistently go to discuss with familiar faces something that I love. I understand your emotions, but a reminder: it's not closed entirely though, it's just a slowmode! We can still discuss and converse with each other, just more delayed. Sagomay seemed to give out a good reason before: since this channel is a tool for the devs to use, they don't need it to be active while there isn't testing content for this channel to focus on.

Moreover, relying on a Discord channel for mental health is something that might not be fully beneficial for you. I understand wanting the feeling of companionship and comradery, and this server is full of great people. In my opinion: Seasons should never end, there should always be an opportunity for new players to pick up items from past Seasons (does not include Seasons crossovers)
Because exclusivity is something that kills the game and causes conflicts in the community.
So if TGC is going to go down this path of bringing back the old Seasons, I approve of that decision.

I would obviously fight for cheaper prices but at this point I would also pay anything for certain older ults. And also reskins don't really make all parties happy. There are still tons of people I know who would still want the old ults to come back and I really haven't seen great arguments from vets why they shouldn't. Most of it boils down to "I want my things to be exclusive". Only fair argument I've seen was "I like to identify people from when I joined" and if we do the silver pendant system for ult bundles and gold pendant stays for people who completed the season when it was in full swing that wouldn't be a problem. I say let the old vets be mad if it means we can stop exclusivity hierarchy on most of the in game items. /nm

It's your opinion, not a fact, as a cozy frequenter I know well that talking about other channels is discouraged in there so it should be the same rules applying here. A cooldown increase is, in my opinion, generally better to have because the off topic conversations in a discussion meant for chatting about upcoming stuff in a game is pretty likely. It gives exposure to break times, and is solely meant to be a break in the discussions for beta as there is no new content right now.

Simply put though, if you don't like the dev's or mod's decisions to increase cooldown, use #contact-the-mods and give them feedback, I guess?

They changed (at least for mobile) the way that placing props I the air works. You can’t just tap the button now and have the prop pop out in front of you. It still does kinda do that but there is no collision until you hit the check button too. Now a 2 button press for something that was just a simple tap

-When she's online, tap her profile and then back out of it and only then can you search for messages by Ash. The same applies to anyone else you may be searching for if they don't show up in your search results.

Those nicknames are made up without trying to connect it to real or official game terminology, or sometimes would straight up contradict actual Sky world/story things. It doesn't mean that our half-thought out nicknames are "rea" for the Sky world, let alone more real than the official name.

So since live drop of 0.20.5 I have come to the conclusion that while the rose ult and other props do look improved upon from the last version, it still looks off with color and it's saturation in caves (#screenshots-and-videos message).

It still becomes lighter when entering a dark cave then that of when it is in broad daylight and seems to have a weird film over the items. I don't have it in beta so I had to wait for the drop in live to actually see the improved lighting and now I gotta make a beta bug report too haa

I will be reporting this in beta and live bug reports til the day I die apparently lol I hope they continue to improve the lighting. I feel it won't change again for a long time since it's a small issue and went from being unacceptable washed out colors to "still wonky but no longer white colors" in caves.

This is late but I’ve sort of (?) found a solution for the air prop placement double tap, instead of tapping on the prop in your inventory you can quickly swipe on it to make it solidly appear in front of you. It’s not an exact landing like with the singular tap, but if you’re in flap mode you’ll pretty much land on it every time. Hope this helps

similar setup: you can only pull these assets from specific methods. if its aurora assets, it could be a similar bug. they patched one part of the code but it could have reached another area.

I will say this isn't entirely correct if it's a broad sweeping statement. It could come to live SOME day, but why people think recently is beyond me. And if that's what u meant (like that it won't be coming to live soon but could one day), then ignore me.

Last statement we got from a dev basically said maybe but there isn't a planned date. Here it is:

You all are reading into the invisible cape entirely too much.
There is NO planned date for this item to be released to the Live game at this time. We understand that this is a long-anticipated, highly desirable item, but we are not ready to introduce it to the Live game yet.
To help clear confusion, I'll be deleting and or unpinning old messages about the cape.

I think I missed all the hullabaloo bout this TS statue. When is it showing up for people? I did notice it shows in both live and beta during the intro zoom in when you first open the game. That's what everyone is trying to figure out. The hype is because it may be a revision to the TS system, but nobody knows for sure. Some speculate that, or it could be an unused asset, or even a potential leak that slipped. At this point everyone wants to know why that strange occurrences such as the Isle diamond and the statue by the TS pool are happening. But the only thing we can do now is wait and find out, AKA WAFO.
