Yea, descent is mainly targeted towards the roguelike crowd. That's it's main attraction and main thing pushing away people who don't like roguelikes

Some RNG is inherently required. But the level of it in Descent is far too much. It's supposed to be a "roguelite" experience. Not a full on roguelike.

They really need to give us options to blacklist certain talents to at least circumvent some of the RNG.

Also not a fan of the permadeath mechanic. I wouldn't mind sacrificing talents/weapons/skills if it means I can continue from my last loop.

@tame geode Just use different parts, each time you pick up a piece it's randomised, with weighted RNG towards the core colour.

e.g. Striker is more likely to have red stats.

I agree with above mention. Imperial dynasty is gonna hold you back. You wont even want creeping if planning a fire build.
Check the pinned spreadsheet in #td2-build-advice .
Eclipse protocol with ep chest/bag , 1x eletrique either glove/knee/holster, vile mask will be a very powerful fire build. Add capacitor and it's even stronger 💯

Creeping is good on eclipse foam builds since its non damage.
