No problem. The 'reddit fix #1' people talk about with turning off Exploit Protection on the game executable does work but is an ugly thing to have to do in on my opinion. I did it, it works, so gl.

ive read a post on reddit like 3 days ago and they said turning off your overclocking, or overclocking apps (in my case asus armoury app)
is one of the good ways to greatly reduce the crashing frequency.

before i turned it off i was crashing every 5-10mins
after i turned it off i only crash like 1-3 times only per day, which is tolerable for me

im trying a pistol build from time to time, but sometimes and especially when in countdown, the hud element with weapon magazine etc is inside my crosshair making me miss 90% of my shot, cause i cannot focus.

i think its more noticable when playing countdown, because of the non respawn message. The additionbal height makes it go trough the crossahair.

Yeah, it's been crashing at least once per session, appr once per hour but often within the first 10 minutes, for like a year now. It just freezes and need termination by Task Manager. I kinda given up hope they'll ever fix that. It might be an audio thing, perhaps the anti-cheat, I don't know. It happens playing solo or in coop, walking down the street or in the middle of a fight. And now I can't move forward with the manhunt either. The second key never dropped, or Kelso bugged it, says "0 keys" and mission is still active even though target was killed weeks ago. I also killed the 3rd target (Chang) today, but progress is of course locked at the 2nd key. Tried to report this as a bug, got a time-out. Tried to post on a thread in the forums, server wouldn't let me. Seems not much is working...

Div2 is a very picky game considering PC stats

It only got bearable after I upgraded my CPU, but all other games suffered from that as well, so it was more or less necessary and curing Div2 was just a sort of side effect

That solution has been already known... results vary between individual.

It's a mixture of confirmation bias (it works for me, why shouldn't it work for you) and treating the symptoms (but not the root cause).

i.e. not ALT-TABbing reduces crashes for you. Not because the game hates alt-tabbing but it reduces the footprint of other apps in your system, therefore reducing the odds that Div2 will try to overwrite something that makes Windows unhappy (which is why the WEP exclusions 'work')

All these 'cures' are either stupid, dangerous or work intermittently. And I use all of them because what choice do you have? (Play on console!). I know this much, I'm never ever pre-ordering / buying a Ubi game like this until at least a year or TWO after release.

Are any other crytek engine games like this? Lumberyard is based on Cryengine too... poof.. New World bugs. Star Citizen never releases. It's the engine! It all makes sense now! - FYI, I had my PCs restarted. Then used ISLC. Started Div2, left it at the login screen for 5 mins. Then only play. So far... 1 crash per DAY. So either Massive has done something or this voodoo thing really works.

Anyone else experiencing game freezing, closing suddenly randomly? I have mid-range hardware, 1440p, dx12 not enabled, win11, all drivers (nVidia, windows) up to date. Not sure what issue is, even having dx12 enabled it would crash hard. Freezing started more after the recent update, either works for 10 mins or 4 hours before it finally freezes.

Happens to a lot of people. The list of possible fixes is endless as of now:

1. Disable VPNS
2. Disable in-game overlays
3. Do not alt-tab the game at all
4. Have little background processes
5. Play at the right time
6. Upgrade CPU
7. Get out your wand and apply dark magic to it

Yeah. Was extremely bad for me last night. I've tried all the known "work arounds" and "fixes". I know they said they've located the most prominent cause of the crashes for PC, but due to the time since it's started and when they intend to release the patch for it (next Apparel Event, which they can't confirm the time of), it just doesn't seem like they consider stability a high priority.

Ah, the random Delta / connection error during loading. I get that at least once per session. Especially if I just started. Getting booted to the main screen from like 80 or 90% completed is so fun. At least the second time around the game loads faster

16 is standard these days. You can probably get another 8gb to double yours for pretty cheap. I wouldn't go any higher than that unless you are ready for a new computer. Im playing on a laptop myself.

That is really high. If it was my choice I would do it. Ram is cheap enough that you can add more and its not a big deal. Your system is a good bit older though. Maybe look around and see what your options are for a replacement while you are looking for the right ram.

laptops are far more awkward to open up than desktops, you generally have to take out quite a few pieces to reach the bit you need to change (or replace, if there's no spare slots)

Is anyone else having weird FPS drops on higher end PCs? I'm running (atleast to me) a pretty decent rig and I'm having troubles maintaining 60fps. This only happens in Open Environments though, locations like Safe Houses or Underground areas are fine and I can maintain a steady 60+fps. Anyone can give me some advice?

My Specs:

CPU: Intel I7 - 12700F
GPU: RTX 3060
Ram: 16GB

To add on this, I was running the game on Highest Graphical Settings while resolution remained at 1080p. What is confusing to me is when I run Ghost Recon Breakpoint on the highest settings with the Resolution Scaling bumped up to 130%, I can maintain a consistent 75fps while Div 2 struggles... pretty badly to maintain 60fps and periodically tanks to 40fps

Div2 is poorly optimised for intel. At least that is my headcannon theory. It ran horribly on my intel CPU I had for years and now that I upgraded to a Ryzen I haven't had issues.

Yeah, in General it is not a good idea to take Division as a measure for anything hardware related. Just because it stutters, freezes and crashes, doesn't mean your build is garbage. It just means Div2 is really mad at you for daring to have that specific combo of components

Normal are 160 FPS but i have situations were FPS drops to 90 for no reason. Randomly.

Hi. Not sure if this is the right channel but for several days (if not weeks) i have the notification on the lower for new projects. No matter how many times i check or even complete projects, the orange exclamation remains even at projects desk. Is this a bug?

@hot gust @shrewd helm there's a daily project (run a mission for bonus xp) that's only available if you buy the season pass, and without it you can never clear that notification because you can't view that project. Annoying, but you get used to it.

When is DX12 going to be a stable API again to use in Dvision 2? Its been an issue since release, does Massive even bother with it? Anyone have hacky fix to get DX12 to run on nvidia card in a stable enough conditions?

Any game ive played that has both dx11 and dx12 as options, the dx12 option runs like crap

But when games have dx12 or vulkan, dx12 runs fine

I literally use DX12 since day one and it has been stable for me...

I crashed less after I switched to DX12 but that might be placebo. Still, I've had it on for most of the time I've been playing and the rampant crashing that's been bothering everyone else hasn't been hitting me as much
