Okay so I’m working on clearing with every weapon. I kinda ignored the fists bc I couldn’t work with them in the beginning but now I am kind of liking them. Made it to Elysium without losing too much health and with all my DD’s intact. I am shook 😅

||You really have to get used to his moveset and know how to dodge it, it comes with practice, also the minions being spawned on phase 1 can go all the way from very easy to really annoying like Strongbows so that can change the way your fight goes, also having a general idea for your build is always a good thing, if you can force certain gods to get your build going that'd be even better.||

||There isn't any specific boons that perform well universally in that fight, it comes down to synergies with the weapon/other boons that you have, for example, Artemis attack on Bow is quite good meanwhile on Rail its really underwhelming so rail will naturally perform worse with such a setup.||

Also for the final boss, to dodge him you should ||hide behind the pillars when he does his laser attack, and try to not take any dmg when you have those orange orbs that he throws stuck in you, they double the dmg you take.||

There is a mark on you whenever you are targeted by Theseus' spear, make sure you're safe whenever that happens (behind a pillar for example to block the spear), getting close to him will make him spin, you just have to get used to that timing, dashing too early or too late will get you hit. In general you want to focus on Asterius first because if Theseus calls for a God's Aid and Asterius isnt dead yet, it'll be more difficult managing both + the God being called, Asterius moves are generally stiff and slow, you just gotta attack at the right times when you have a clear chance, take your time, rushing to get hits in at the wrong times can cost you a lot of health and possibly make you lose the run, you also want to make sure you keep enough distance for whenever he charges towards you, you can stop him by making him hit a pillar/wall, if you're too close you wont have enough time to react, when he gets enraged the delay between his moves will be a little shorter, you wont see him pausing as much. With enough practice you'll get the hang of that fight, it's tough for most people.

For Achilles and Zag aspect it’s Flurry Jab, Hades spear is a very different playstyle and can get into a special build with Exploding Launcher and Charged Skewer or more of an attack dash striking build with Quick Spin and Serrated point, a mix of the 4 hammers mentioned is also not a bad idea for example Quick Spin + Exploding Launcher etc.. For the hidden spear Charged Skewer gives the aspect so much that puts it ahead of the other hammer options, Charged Skewer + Breaching Skewer is an ideal combo, but spin hammers are also alright, when you go for a Special build with the hidden spear you lean a lot more into it unlike Hades aspect therefore the spin hammers are less useful in general.

||You mean for Styx tunnels? If you are tight on time /speedrunning, miniboss doors will always be faster than normal ones, they can also be safer since its fewer but beefier enemies, or if you have a companion for example. If you dont care about speed, id look for hammers/second hermes boon, first if they're still available, those can be really good boosts, but depends on your build in the end, other than that id just take whatever you feel is most useful for your run, there isnt a particular way to choose rewards, if you want safety you can take hp, you can get more gold for a third hermes boon if offered at the Charon shop, you can take a boon miniboss because of its increased rarity, maybe you're looking for a certain duo/boon/legendary. With more experience you'll just pick intuitively without thinking too much.||

that fight alone is what truly taught me how to time the dash for the I-frame and using foes attacks against them in some way. like making asterius charge you and dash through him so he slams into the wall for free hits. this concept made me think about other fights and what can be used to my advantage with what the boss does. this applied very well when i did ||extreme measures x4 to help reduce the clutter of pots on the field||

So, In order to unlock the Aspect of Guan Yu, do I need to invest 5 Titan Blood in the Spear, or do I have to invest it in each other weapon?
I have invested it in the Spear, purchased the table with the prophecies, and even won the final boss one time, but Achilles still doesn't want to give me the needed dialogue (I tried like 10 times already).
Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Or I just have to keep talking to Achilles?

Yep. Took me five attempts just to beat them my first time around iirc.

My advice would be to go for ||Asterius (the bull)|| first before ||Theseus reaches 50% health||, he does something special at that point that you don't want the added hassle of ||a bull rushing around|| for.

So I've escaped twice, but I don't know what I should be directing by focus toward. There's a lot of information - so many newbie guides focus on getting out the first time, but now all the ||Pact of Punishment|| stuff feels excessive since I haven't even escaped with every weapon. Some people say to farm, some people say to learn which god offers which kinds of abilities so I can create builds, some say just focus on relationships.

I mean its really difficult to put a certain way to play the game, there is a lot of stuff you can do, it comes down to whatever is most fun for you and seems right, for me personally I just started uping the ||heat slowly 1 by 1, for more bounties so I can try different aspects because that was fun for me ||, eventually I looked back at farming darkness to finish some mirror things that I wanted to try, and building relationships and getting new dialogue came naturally through progression, for builds I mostly learned from watching other people play

I mean that ||upping the heat|| seems like too much already but it's what everything says to do and it seems like the only path forward even though I still have 4 other weapons that I haven't escaped with and am unable to. I'm not sure where to direct my focus to improve so I can actually do that. I don't know how to ||get more titans blood to level and unlock the other aspects since I'm terrible with the anything other the fists||

Have you tried certain builds that work well with those weapons? Most builds wont carry a run fully but just having a general idea about what to aim for should set you on the right track to win runs with each weapon, with some practice, ||the first few heat points wont feel like any difference at all depending on what you choose ofc, when it starts getting a little high you'll just be aware of what you're doing and therefore you wont have a lot of issues or atleast you'll have a clear reasoning behind why you lost certain runs, you can on the other hand just keep playing fists over and over, a lot of people enjoy something over the others, and push it in heat way higher than other weapon, spreading your runs over different weapons is slower in terms of heat pushing but you get a better idea of each of the aspects/weapons and the way to play them, since you'd have more experience with them.||

Yeah, certain weapons are too difficult for me and I can't clear certain bosses like ||Asterius and Thesius or even Lernie, whereas I can take care of them with other weapons no problem. This is without using the Pact of Punishment at all though. I still can claim the initial Hades bounty four more times without adding heat. I got through it on Aspect of Nemesis using a lot of Artemis boons, and Aspect of Talos with a lot of Poseidon and Zeus boons including their duo for a yoyo thing||

^Ranged is hard. This is why I struggled playing League. They kept telling me to stay back to kill creeps and I kept charging in trying to smash things.

Yea I was the exact opposite lol, I was doing much better with Ranged weapons at first, now its all somewhat similar except I have a lot more clears on Bow, the combos you mentioned sound solid, Nemesis with Deadly Strike and Artemis' Dash is strong, I dont have much experience with Talos but cant go wrong with Zeus on fast hitting weapons with something like Tidal dash so yea sounds solid, you can have a read through Pengy's thoughts for each aspect, it mentions some of the popular ways to build them, keep in mind it talks about the hidden aspects aswell so it has some spoilers there.
