Generally part 2 is better than part 1 since all the current bosses are tailored to the astral ring system. but in part 2 comparisons usually the answer to "is x better than y" is it depends xD

usually if the answer to "is x better than y" is yes then its because they do better in the current boss meta

||There were some things like for example Sena saying the cast is the only reason the sapling she planted w/Leylah doesn’t get destroyed, but we know that’s false because in Ch 10 they said Ruimu sits atop that tree, as well as other stuff

But it’s an obvious “contradiction” with what the story told us just 3 chapters ago within this same arc, so rather than it being a “contradiction” (as in plot hole / bad writing / etc) I think it’s pretty clearly the story trying to mess with and confuse the reader intentionally for something bigger|| (Ch 12)

but the time period it happens in is before chapter 1 when DS was a uni student basically working under youyun. You dont need to play recent chapters to understand youyun, like it helps but it gives nice character explanations for her so its not like a requirement to play the main story chapters that shes in
