I have done every expedition up to this point. This is the first one that will be a hard pass. If I can't complete the expedition in one sitting and must return over and over it is a NO. Now if it was MY CHOICE to return time and time again it would be another matter. I always - no fail - Play single player!! Being forced to return to a grind after a minimum time out and not progress, depending on others, sounds like a control freak took over development. This is what live service models do. If this is a sign of the times for Light no Fire I won't be getting that game. Stop this nonsense or loose me (and probably many others) as a player and customer.

it has to be handled differently then, I couldn't place a refiner with multiplayer off but they can claim 5-10 bases on the same location? for the sole purpose of block mission objective? has to be a solution. can't say it's a deal breaker for me and I'm all furious, but it is properly annoying.

nms has a lot to explore, if the game released in it's current state in 2016 people wouldn't complain about a lack of stuff to do until probably months after. Problem is that it's a live service game essentially so they will always need to add more content

A big example that I think of is Avorion, a space exploration and building game that focuses on large scale tactical fleet combat, the exact sort of thing I see requested here pretty frequently. It even has the ability to automate resource production infrastructure. All this isnt without tradeoffs, though, as there arent any planets to explore, and ship design can be pretty difficult to figure out at the start

Yeah that always sound so sweet in theory, but making it work alongside all of the other stuff‘s not really feasable, especially with all of the updates being free. I would have gladly payed for DLC if it meant opening up more ressources for NMS

But regardless, for NMS I feel like some of the issues are very blatant still.

Take the old poi‘s such as ruins and observatories for example, pretty much no one cares about those (outside of abandoned runs maybe).

A refresh/overhaul of those seems like an obvious thing to do.

The main poi that had incentive to visit them were secure facilities, to unlock advanced crafting recipes, but now you can unlock those far more easily at the space anomaly

Observatories were quite useful in 1.0 too due to ships being super expensive, and crashed ships always coming with more inventory slots than your current one

there's a lot to discover, take your time and follow the main story to get the gist of what you can do. Collect salvage data when you can to unlock new stuff once you get to anomaly (again play the main story)

i dont think you should rule over star systems but being able to eradicate the sentinels in a system (like in outlaw systems) would be cool if you had a dream paradise planet with a high sentinel activity or smth

And much to my surprise, the first ship to land on that space station, was a direct copy of the ship I salvaged (stats are a bit off, though)
