dissolve the candy in water to make a syrup, get say 350 ml of that, add to 1tsp salt, 500g strong bread flour of your choice and a sachet of instant yeast. Mix into a loose dough, kneead till the surface is smooth, elastic and just slightly sticky and a pice passes the window paine test (harder for wholemeal) on a foured surface.
place in coverd bowl in warm place till has doubled in size. Gently degass, form and proof till the dough relaxes slowly from a gentle poke. Bake 15 mins at gas mark 7, reduce temp to gm 5 for 30 mins and continue baking. allow to completly cool before slicing.
For best results add a tray of boiling water on the shelf below the loaf during backing time and wet down the crust, also score an X or a slash into the dough surface with your sharprest knife.
Based on experamental dr Pepper instead of water bread (though that was a sourdough) should be tasty, but less remarkable than you'd expect.

We made a "fusion" dish combining recipe ideas like paella and bibimbap. It's basically Mexican rice with poached eggs on top topped with Mexican cream and hot sauce
while I can see the fusion, I think you mixed up what you fused. Looks like you did a take on Arroz Rojo (Mexican red rice, not Paella)

I heard y'all like cooking... lemme share this one recipe from a cookbook my family's had for years. This is an incredible finishing oil for soups, stir-fry, noodles, veggie dishes, etc. I love a little drizzle of this stuff in my pho or miso for a nice kick. The "goop" at the bottom mentioned here is a wonderful addition to anything that needs a nice kick. The fermented black beans impart a nice umami without being too funky. This is absolutely a pantry staple for my family.
And as always: be careful when making oil hot. You're just trying to infuse the oil with flavour, not deep fry. Make sure you use a good thermometer!
You could strain out the solid ingredients with a sieve at the end, but you'd be missing out on a lot of flavour.
Never seen that much sesame oil in a chili oil before. Usually just a few drops of toasted to finish at most

Personally I sub out the Peanut Oil and just use all Sesame oil
I make extra sauce prior and use it to marinade strips of chicken breast
than add in the chicken and shitake mushrooms as well (not in the original recipe)
I also add in a bit of panko to thicken it near the end as I found out it often turns out too saucy and this absorbs the flavor of the extra sauce and also adds some texture

for future refrence, the best PBJ you can make involves 3 slices of bread. Peanut butter on bottom of top half, top of bottom half, then both sides of middle. Then you glance at the GRAPE jelly jar for about 10 seconds. Then you good to go

I use a base of milk + banana or yoghurt + banana, then add other fruits, nuts, ice, flavor (ginger? cocoa powder? carob flour? etc)
but looking for anything interesting to mix it up, or to replace the banana base sometimes with something else that serves the same function
I generally use frozen berries instead of ice lol
But then, I almost always make the same kind... Aside from twice when I used canned pineapple. Then I had to use ice
I don't really have access to frozen berries here, and ice works well enough. the pineapple sounds interesting

I sometimes use almond milk for a base.
Other stuff that goes inside usually includes Greek yoghurt, peanut butter, banana, berries (fresh or frozen), ground flax (a little electric coffee grinder is perfect for that), whey isolate powder (choc or vanilla) and a spoonful of coconut oil.
Sometimes I swap a papaya for the banana but Id usually rather just eat that.
Sometimes a touch of honey too.
I do the peanut butter thing on a regular bases, protein, nice flavour, thickens it up some. Yoghurt goes without saying. The nice thing about bananas is that they are cheap but the not nice thing is that they are imported for us so I am wondering about more usual fruits or other things that I could swap in.
The papaya is a nice idea but I would do that only once in awhile, also imported and kind of pricey!

my best friend's mom gave me some zucchinis from their garden, so i made zucchini muffins! used some recipe i found online but added molasses-heavy dark brown sugar instead of white sugar, so it has a much richer flavor, molasses really works its magic here 😄
this is only three of the many i made, and i had to give them away to friends and coworkers because there was no way i was gonna eat them all 😅

I`ve made some dumplings today, a new recipe by me, maybe someone will like it, its my favourite way to cook them now!
- Put a large piece of butter in a frying pan.
- Dump the dumplings on it, let it fry until golden brown. On medium heat.
- Prepare the broth - mix water, soy sauce and cream, 1:1:1 or so, then pour it into a frying pan. The broth level should not exceed the tops of the dumplings.
- Add herbs (dill or parsley), ground pepper, paprika or any other to taste and mood.
- Close the pan with a lid, let the dumplings simmer in the broth. Stir from time to time. 5-8 minutes until ready. On medium or low heat.
- When most of the broth has evaporated and the dumplings will "float" in a kind of puddle, you can turn off the fire and serve it to the table.
- (bonus) I recommend making some sauce useing sourcream, herbs and soy sauce (in that case no need to add soy sauce in the broth)
Unfortunately cant pin the photo. but you can easily google it using "fried dumplings in sauce" or "жареные пельмени в соусе" (russian dumplings are a little different from europe or america, but they are almost the same, so, recipe works anywhere)
