I had the inspiration from Aliens: Covenant - was going to re-do the whole thing by hand for practice. So far it's turned out great.

The little details they put in is phenomenal!

The animations for this will be tricky since I need a plugin for AE to transfer illustrator > AE copy and paste, which'll cost me about 45$ (ewk)

Using 1 file at 1000 x 1000 canvas takes up a lot of resources on an NVME

handbrake won't do it, online converters often have file limits, tried using premier pro plugin for ffmpeg and it won't do alpha, i feel like i'm stuck but lots of art out there in webm that is smooth, high quality, and retains alpha

I used AI art to help run a D&D oneshot with my friends. Obviously didn't sell it or use it in any malicious way. But I thought it was unique to search through other peoples generated art work and use those as a visual assist for my friends. And even doing THAT made me feel a little uncomfortable

Hi guys, I produce a radio show called 'Tales of a Long Lost Time'. In this show, I write original stories based of folk legend with traditional Irish music and I voice act the characters. For example, there is a story here about the sleepy little town of Sudbury which has been bequeathed with the great medieval honour of hosting: ChEESEfest 1354. But with the town being ran by Mr Chedda’s gang of mobster New York rats disaster strikes ! Hey guys, I was wondering. Does anyone have an idea of how difficult making a stream goal appear as a fluid filling up a gauge would be?

If you have a graphic of a gauge, and make the 'glass' section transparent, you should be able to setup an overlay rotate it like 270 degrees and just play with text, colors, etc. and use that as a custom overlay. Then just put the graphic on top of the progress bar and whatever is transparent will show the 'gauge' through.

That’s the grind. A lot of streaming. Everything you do can help. Seeking out communities (like discords and Facebook groups) based around the games you like to play the most also helps. Posting clips to YouTube , engaging in similar streams (WITHOUT promoting yourself btw)….it all adds up over time. Building your own viewer base is just a slow tough grind. Also last but definitely not least: having a nice looking stream makes a world of difference starting out.

Hi folks! I'm looking to start making content in games & programming. Would like to ask for advice/opinions on a streaming/youtube name. Current username is angrynarwhal, but I feel like it's not that great for branding. And apparently is not even available on twitch. Happynarwhal is another one I associate with, but same issue (ie. I don't actually walk around with a horn on my head, or intend to stream as such). My real name is a German one, so I'm thinking on leaning in that direction instead and calling myself Fritz... so it could be something along the lines of FineFritz (or other 'f' adjective). You'd have to create two alert boxes on your overlay editor, and select what each one does. That way you can make only followers on one side and subs on another side

I tried that. I made one where only followers was checked and the other was only subscribers checked. I put followers left and subscribers right. If I simulated followers for example, the default subscriber template would show up on the right side. Maybe if I delete all the info in the template? That way if it showed, it would show nothing?

I'm trying to make a custom command where someone can type !bonk @ someone and it gives a random percentage of the bonk AND play a redeem sound that i have in the loyalty store. No, the account doesn’t matter. Just make sure your overlay connects to both Twitch and YouTube chats. Use a chat aggregator or browser source so all messages show up in one clean overlay.

I did manage to make a couple custom widgets work. Sponsor/member total counter and total sub counter for twitch. Also a viewer counter for both platforms. I did find YouTube viewer count works but it glitches sometimes when fetching api at times

I tried Ninja for awhile but there was a memory leak at the time that was crashing my stream lol. It is incredibly dumb lol just a way to stifle the competition. I don't think they go after numbers being displayed. I'm honestly using Streamlabs for just the chat feature because you link both accounts to one chat box and display it then you can customize it however you want. 😆 found SE because of how they separate accounts was to much of a hassle for me lol. They also allow you to remove badges on SL lol.

I did find another thing called BotTrix use there combined chat overlay. But its limited.

Didn't find that one when I was trying to look but yeah due to one thing or another I just ended up going with that to solve my headache lol. Yeah same here I don't use them for anything else just chat.

YouTube question. I have a YouTube channel I post tech reviews on for a little over a year and Im close to reaching 1k subs. I also stream on twitch, the YouTube channel has grown much faster due to my videos.

I now have almost twice as many followers/subs on YouTube as I do twitch so,
Should I expand to also live streaming on YouTube and Twitch to take advantage of the larger follower count

Or

Would live streaming on YouTube hurt my channel? Would subs I already have not like that and get annoyed? Other words keep streaming and tech reviews completely separate

@crystal tulip prerecorded videos with high-effort editing usually retain their value for much longer than unedited/barely edited live video, unless you're very charismatic and can make good "talking head" content (for most people that's not the case)

to me and I am no export, I have less experience and following then yours, it is a matter of intentional content. and by that I mean in each place you promote yourself it is about creating something unique on there. otherwise as you say you may lose a benefit of one content over the other. for example to me yt is better to stream for q&a, to have some behind the scenes, to actually chat with your audiance on ty, to offer them some other insight to you. so, for example, you can say well if you donate and make a question bold I will for sure answer it. I saw this on a cooporation stream between 2 real madrid derivitive youtubers, doing a live stream where they discuss stuff and whenever someone donated their chat was highlited and every now and then they got back scoll the chat and read the question posed. so. you can tell a number of times on your vids a special q&a and behind the secens is coming, and maybe invide a guest, that you can later also resepricate by doing it on their stream and just have some talk about tech and then take some questions and read some of the stream
the thing is that on twitch relaviely the number of followers is totally different then on youtube. the style is else and the type of streaming to me is not the same. you don't have the same culture nor the same tools. so, benefit from both worlds and develop more strategy, have things made in your mind as products you offer and tream each place and service differently. also think about, and I don't ahve someone like this yet, but someone who can help you build commercial strategy and help you grow.
