My SE.Live has a 'memory leak' on the Activity Feed widget... For the past few days I have noticed my memory usage going steadily up over time and when checking task manager I can see it is OBS causing it. Upon further investigation it is one of the obs-browserr-page.exe processes which is reaching up to 1GB memory usage. I ended that process and the activity feed went white. I reload the widget and it starts at about 40MB memory usage. Over time it climbs and over the past few hours it reached into the 200+MB range before I simply reloaded the widget again and it drops.

I am not streaming at the moment and there is no activity being added to the widget yet the memory usage is climbing. I can simply reload the widget periodically now that I know about it but thought I would mention it so the devs can investigate

it's essentially everything that's gotta do with SE. so like the docks are lagging, and if i open up a SE browser via OBS by clicking edit widget data, it lags. now every browser source from SE lags on OBS.

I have an issue with GIF alerts. for my community sub gifts alerts I decided to use GIFS but the problem is that on OBS the GIFs are not looping but they are looping on the SE overlay editor. I already tried to relog to OBS and recreating the alerts but nothing worked :/

so, I recently just bought an el gato capture card hd60, did the whole set up through selive. My main issue is that my capture card audio will not go through to selive. Yet, when i open up el gato's software i can hear my ps4's audio just fine. for some reason it just won't go through selive or streamlabs.

Little bit more on the memory leak issue. The first screenshot was just after a reload of the widget. Second screenshot is a couple of hours later, third screenshot is after a reload again. Something on the widget is taking memory for no reason. And over 24 hours the other day this reach close to 1GB of memory usage on the widget alone. I have 32GB memory so doesn't cause me too many issues but needs to be looked at

My partner's overlay they've been using on streamelements for like 6 months has now suddenly (after no changes for several weeks) decided to start chowing up to like 35% of the CPU

#

and it's definitely something streamelements side because when she goes to the website to look at the overlay on the overlay editor her chrome then also shoots up to like 40% cpu usage lmao

It must be the way it deals with media because it's her looping background video/animation that is causing mass cpu usage, she never used to break 7% with this overlay source and now it's killing itself in OBS and in the browser

I've tested the overlay shutdown not in use, it's how I realized the overlay was the issue and then when I tinkered with the elements of the overlay i discovered the background video layer is the reason the CPU is skyrocketing all of a sudden on OBS/Browser. She does have hardware acceleration enabled yea

I've just copied her overlay URL to my rig and it has also just crumpled my CPU so it's 100% a streamelements side thing

and it seems to be this ONE video asset ironically with a massive hole cut out in the middle causing the obscene cpu usage because the rest of the video clips and other overlays she has used dont do anything cpu wise

I think it's the way the web browser loads the video that is causing a bump in usage. What happens when you add the video directly to OBS?

it's a good wad of CPU usage that we'd ideally have liked to avoid which is why we put it on there in the first place but we can use it temporarily I guess

@quick atlas it is 100% to do with transparent webms whatever the issue is, any webm I use now on streamelements on 4 different computers and obs setups absolutely kills both the browser (which I've tested multiple of) and the obs browser source cpu usage

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

On some of my scenes my alert when triggers lags.
Example :
Its a black box what opens fluently.
But on some of my scenes when a alert triggers it is instantly open. (Hard to explain but it skips a couple seconds AKA lags)

I don't think there's a way to export them to an offline folder or anything like that. But, you can create a duplicate on the site in case you change something and choose to revert the change.

To reset goals:

  • from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
  • from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Hi, do you know if it's possible to chain to chain two transition effects together one after the other? What I want to do is use my custom stinger transition but afterwards instead of cutting to the new scene, it fades into it.

Well maybe….you’d have to trigger a scene transition to a scene and then a second transition however you’d have a period of black screen based on the fact a second scene has to be activated prior to the shift into the scene you want. That being said you could screenshot the end of your stinger and make it an image and have that image as the second scene prior to the fade….

Otherwise put a fade at the end of your stinger in premiere and then set the stinger transition length to the length of the stinger

Streamlabs actively blocks streamelements overlays. The issue is using streamlabs software instead of obs.

Oh well. The Back Up Playlist wont update in the OBS Studio Media Request Add In. I Changed the Backup Playlist in Web Dashboard and it will overwrite the default songs correctly.

The default resolution for StreamElements overlays (theme and custom) is 1920x1080. Please add them in OBS at their full resolution and use CTRL+F to fit to screen if necessary. You can then downscale your stream in OBS settings > Video if you'd like https://i.imgur.com/6bWXxjR.png

I have an unresolved question, it is that the language in the SE.Live Obs the chat and stats panels are in hungarian even though my system, my obs and streamelements in the browser are all in english, so I really have no clue how to change the language of the panels, I would really like to use them since I can use extentions with them which are really useful for me. thanks :))

I would disconnect / logout in OBS and then reconnect / login.
File > Settings > Stream > disconnect / reconnect

Hello. First of all download and install the latest driver for your GPU from the NVIDIA website.

Then download DDU (link below) run that and after it has finished restart your computer. Once you have logged back into you Windows desktop install the NVIDIA driver you previously downloaded. You may have to restart again after the driver is installed.

Did this fix the problem?

I kinda need a hand with something i'm hoping has an easy answer. I installed the SE.Live plugin to OBS and now OBS wont capture my game window (black screen). OBS was fine before, i googled around and i tried running as admin, restarting OBS, Restarting Computer.

  1. Restart OBS
  2. Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
  3. Stop your stream/recording.
  4. Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste the link here.

Note: If you do not see an obsproject.com URL, you will need to update OBS Studio to version 22+.

same. i restarted and for some reason, the forced restart removed my User permissions to a few system32 .dlls. which messed up so many things. so i was on a warpath trying to fix that problem.

How come that i dont see the chat? In my SE overlays i can see the chat.
But once in my OBS i dont see it at all.
Just the 'background changes'

hey there! I have been experiencing issues with SeLive recently where it will randomly be at high cpu usages anywhere between 25-50% usage. this doesnt happen every day though. certain days the cpu usage is normal and low but on random days it will spike and i wont be able to go live since my system will crash with all of my other programs and game running. Does anyone have a solution for this issue?

I'm having trouble with a black screen in the preview of OBS. I am using an M1 Mac Mini hooked up to an HD60 X and a PS5. I have HDCP off, and have set the video capture device to the HD60 X. I still cannot get it to show anything.

Hello, my stats are all in the white but my frames missed due to rendering lag is in the red I tried changing just about every setting I know to correct it but I still in the red I'm in the red whether I'm streaming or not. Any advice I could try?

Providing update: I had the black screen due to not accepting the capture card to access my webcam. If you denied this access and receive the black screen in your preview on OBS, you need to enable it. Hope this helps for anyone with a similar problem.

I'm having an issue with a SE sponsor where their browser source uses up to 50% of my CPU and I can't play any game, including the sponsored game. It's definitely the sponsor's browser source, because deleting it brings my CPU usage back to normal - but of course I can't stream without it. I've put in a support ticket but I hadn't even heard back about a previous one yet so I'm worried I won't get a response while my campaign is active and my work so far will be wasted.

I have an issue with SE sponsor and basically it doesn’t give me any timer for the compaign duration even if my goals on the OBS overlay are updated but without the timer im not sure im in the compaign so Im worried to waste time and efforts. Sent a ticket 4 days ago still no answer

is it better to close a support ticket, or update it in my situation? I sort of put my stream together with sticky tape so I could do it today, but the issue persisted and it was quite a major one, so I'd assume they'd want a record so if it was happening to someone else they could say it's the provided materials and not an individual's setup

Hiya,
in the last 2 streams (6h of streaming) my SE Live crashed 4 or 5 times.
Where should I send logs?
I am using the latest version (update says nothing available) based on OBS 27.2.4
I am on the Beta path in the versions
Windows 10 21H2 build 19044.1826
System:
AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
64GB RAM
MSI Gaming Pro X470
MSI Ventus 3X 3080 Ti

I have not changed/installed any plugins before it happened and I checked with Starscape and my plugins are all up to date
