if you have multiple ancient seeds then it won't harm you to plant one and save one! Even if you lose the plant and still have a spare ancient fruit in your chest, you can put it in the seed maker (unlocked at farming lvl 9) and get seeds

That being said, here are a few tips:

1. Try to hunt for forageables on the ground, especially on Saturday.
2. Go fishing, it's a great way to earn gold fast.
3. If you have something you're unsure of selling, talk about it. We'll see if it's worth it. (Usually, keep your Prismatic Shards, Dino Eggs, etc.)

its not really all that "better" it just has a different kind of grass and you start with chickens. you can have animals on any farm you want.
