yes some mod authors put them on both. Some mod authors left Nexus due to changes they disagreed with and put their mods on mod drop

Sorry to interrupt, but is there a way to edit PFM machines to complete their task instantly, like vanilla machines do with CJB Cheat Mod? I've tried setting their values to other things but you still have to wait for the next 10 game minutes to pass before they finish.

Hey, so I'm using the Vortex mod site to use a few mods for my game. just saved a logged out but i lost EVERYTHING. it's reset me back to Day 1 of Spring, Year 1. What am I meant to do to get my save file back?

From the sounds of it it didn't save at all past the first save upon creating the file. A lot of people have trouble using Vortex so I'd stop using that first and test if your game can save past day one
its a mod aswell I think
smapi is the window that shows you what mods have loaded etc... if you mean the generic mod menu.. then that just shows mods with config settings

yes, when you launch smapi it will say at the top how many mods are loaded, and if you want more info about what has/or failed for x reason than looking at the smapi log will help find the problems

It looks like it. I tried removing the latest save file to see where it puts me and it still puts me in Day 1 of Spring, Year 1 but with all my money and hours in the world

In the latest SMAPI version, if you use PyTK you’ll get a warning about it. This is because PyTK has been causing a lot of performance issues (freeze on startup, long load times) and is blocking SMAPI and CP from implementing performance improvements. Unless the mod author returns to update it, PyTK is most likely going to break in a future update.

I'm trying to figure out why it only wants me to give Shane basic juice and any sort of (vegetable)_juice doesn't work. NOt sure if this has actually been fixed though.
I just had a quest to give him 6 bottles of juice, made some kale and parsnip juice and he didn't want to know it. Might have been because they wer enot identical though

pretty sure if you go to nexus mods some of them have an older version that works on mobile. https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Installing_SMAPI_on_Android here's the main mod "runner" (executioner? idk) for them, just follow the instructions.
But even with this version, it appears that pyTK has no compatibility with it

I deleted pytk and checked to see if my mods needed it, only one was effected by is so hopefully nothing really needed it, all my other mods were updated
sometimes authors forget to list dependencies as dependencies. But yeah, play and see if it breaks.

i tried to replace the fence pngs in vibrant pastoral recolor with different pngs i wanted to use for my fences. i changed the names to match the original pngs. when i tried to use them, it worked..? but it was overlayed
there were brown fences underneath the white ones i replaced
now, im trying to replace the png for the community center thingys inside of my interface mod
but now the interface mod wont work at all
it says the asset folder for the interface mod is empty but its not empty

vpr only overlays their recolor, they dont fully replace the tilesheets
you need to change the content.json to make it replace the tilesheets

ideally i wanted to just merge all of my recolor mods into vpr so i dont have a huge list of mods
So many of the errors relate to World.NpcListChanged event that I figure it has to be one of the NPC adjustment mods needed for Ridgeside Village or SVE, but I have no idea how I would fix that.
content patcher is pretty beginner friendly i'd say, check for fences in the content.json and remove the overlay line

iirc this from market day npc rite ? it is intended the icon being stuck on there when not on markey day ?
I think so yeah, if the map location doesnt exist on the map the npcs are stuffed into a corner or disappear

Did you point steam to the new folder using launch options?
In your launch options, you should have a term like --mods-path "Mods-A" for the new folder.

hi! it's been a couple years but i've fallen back into the SV rabbithole, and of course, i'm back in this chat again! i'd been playing SV for a few hours when i got this error message in smapi. the game hung before the end-of-day screen for a while, i thought it was just chugging for a bit, but then i tabbed out and saw this repeating... and repeating... I'm trying to get smapi.io to parse the log but i think it's too large, the page keeps crashing before it can generate the link. is there anything anyone can glean from this as to what went wrong? if not, i'll start up the game again and try to recreate whatever caused the error, and catch the log before it gets quite this big D:

Hello, once Stardew valley on mobile gets updated, we would be able to use the other mods that need the 1.5 update right?
depends on a lot of things, so maaaaybe?
if the mod has UI, that needs to be adjusted for mobile. also, mobile saves multiple times and not only when you sleep afaik, so mods that depend on that need adjustments too

hi guys im trying to play SVE and i do have the SAAT audio mod installed but I dont have audio on my computer. Is there anyway to work around this or something? because i cant seem to install any audio driver
what are you trying to do? can you play the game without audio or it won't play unless you have audio?
i can play vanilla without audio but as soon as i installed sve and all its required mods i cant get in

ok i tried launching with an npc tracker mod and that worked
do i need to have every single mod required for SVE to play sve
if you are missing a dependency, SVE won't load. the smapi console will tell you what you are missing
it will tell you it couldn't load SVE because _
depends on how long and how powerful the mobile is i guess. it's pretty big mod and the mobile version uses older framework and smapi versions that can significantly increase loading times. if you're already running out of ram during loading i think the game would crash pretty soon after
but not sure if there's a recommended minimum ram amount

HDMI is way better than DVI, you can get a device and a second HDMI cable, so you can switch between the two HDMI, or just unplug, it's not like you're going to be using them both at the same time right

if you don't want to be unplugging all the time (it does create wear and tear on the device) look into buying HDMI switch
they're inexpensive. some switch with a button on the device, some have remotes. i prefer using the button on the device rather than having a remote that can be misplaced

This mod lets fruit trees be placed, grow, and increase in quality even if there is something in the 3x3 area surrounding them! It also makes Junimo Huts harvest fruit trees!

@CapnSmite I would love if the entirety of the modding scene was open to consoles. But consoles are a lot more restrictive about what they allow, everything has to pass certification and all that. So I'd have to officially select certain mods, but I dunno if I want to play favorites

In the latest SMAPI version, if you use PyTK you’ll get a warning about it. This is because PyTK has been causing a lot of performance issues (freeze on startup, long load times) and is blocking SMAPI and CP from implementing performance improvements. Unless the mod author returns to update it, PyTK is most likely going to break in a future update.

im using pfm but it isnt working for me i guess? im still getting suggested cfautomate, i also have pfm and pfmautomate but its not working for modded crops atleast (example its not moving the mint into the seed makers)

actually i see an update for automate, let me update it and if the issue persists ill send a log
every time it updates, you have to re-enable the pathing/flooring you use for automate pathing between machine and chest

and i picked the seedmakers up and placed them back but it still wouldnt move the mint
on my last save, I had flooring connecting my tapped trees to a single chest. I would realize I forgot to update the config, when I saw the product ready to be picked up from the tapper

oh ok because in better chests, you can configure the chest that things can be put in but not taken out and vice versa
i tested with a few other modded crops, same result as mint

I had that problem with this one mod that wasn't updated for 1.5, I had to look into the Nexus posts for a patch that added PFM recipes
