The screen tearing isn’t that bad, maybe like 3 pixels wide along the entire screen, it’s distracting tho, but when I play the game on windowed full screen mode, it doesn’t do that (not to be confused with window full screen) and full screen also causes screen tearing

I believe I know the problem though

Using windowed mode full screen has an ugly border but it forces vsync so no screen tear, so I believe on the other options, vsync doesn’t work regardless if you enable it or not in game or outside of the game, I think that needs addressed

However the catch with vsync is it doesn't work for everyone

Stardew is naturally limited to 60 FPS, and cannot be bypassed. Increasing the frame limit will not improve in-game performance.

It seems quite often (at least 3-4 times per like 4-5 hours) i get disconnected from the multiplayer world my friend is hosting. Is there any fix to that? It happens very randomly, though it does get worse after both of us enter the mines (any mines, be it skull or regular)

I finished the community center boiler room:
I finished one bundle.
Did not collect reward.
Finished the second bundle (completing the room).
Did not collect reward again. Closed the menu and watched cut scene with the Junimos.
I can not collect any reward anymore.

@megthehopeful It's kind of complicated, but involves a legal/business issue which I can't really get into, the necessity to have a whole new team work on it, and then multiple setbacks and missed deadlines due to people being unfamiliar with the code or underestimating the difficulty

@vestal vortex There are some instances where you will need to use the compatibility version of the game. Please be aware that SMAPI/game mods are not compatible with this version.

On Steam: In your library, right-click Stardew Valley and select Properties... > Betas > then "compatibility" under the dropdown.

So I am playing on IOS right now. I just completed my CC but I accidentally blew up the trophy by placing a bomb in my house on accident. I reverted the save to undo the damage but now I can’t interact with the placard to donate the last item

Resolved. Reboot the safe by quoting the current session and loading up again. For future reference just force quit game and reload the day.

I'm having an issue with modifying a save, and how it interacted with multiplayer. I modified me + a friends save to change a cabin type, and it works with just me, but when my friend loads in their game crashes. I think it has something to do with their characters save conflicting with my main save. I've attempted to load the old save, but I can't quite get it to 'wind back time' as it were. Could someone a) help me undo my edits and replace the broken save or b) help me find my friend's file, and rewrite it?

tried running both non modded version of SDV and modded version of SDV with no luck. Firewalls are off. Ports are open. I believe its a Steam API issue, not sure though.

@young path ```If your controller is not working for Stardew Valley on steam. Go to the top left of your steam client window, click on "Steam" > "settings" > "controller" > "general controller settings"> Another window will open up and make sure that for whatever controller you are using that the support box is checked. If you are not too sure what controller it is you can check them all and it won't do much! After that the controller provided it's plugged in or connected with bluetooth should pop up in that window and you will be good to go!

Want to play with two steam controllers? Do this: Due to how the steam controllers work they are a little funky but these bindings will allow two to work perfectly.

ok so 2 of them will end in _old, and 2 not, since you've already made a copy of the folder you can just delete the ones without _old
then rename the 2 with _old so they they don't have the _old anymore

so rn my partner and i are having a problem where one of our saves basically wiped itself. we are on spring day 1 of year 1 when we were originally on winter year 3. we didnt lose everything but like we dont have our farms outside, no animals and all we have is whatever is in my inventory. does anyone know how to fix this for windows

the game hang randomly for me, and when it hangs, it will hang at any previous screen that i went thru, for example my inventory page.
i have tried:

repair the game via GOG
uninstall the game and install it back
at first i tot it caused by MODs, then i played the game without MODs, the result still same.

There are some instances where you will need to use the compatibility version of the game. Please be aware that SMAPI/game mods are not compatible with this version.

On Steam: In your library, right-click Stardew Valley and select Properties... > Betas > then "compatibility" under the dropdown.
On GOG: From the game's page, click the settings icon > Manage installation > Configure... > then "compatibility" under the Beta channels dropdown.

The current save me and my friend are playing on we are on our second year now and wanna keep going. If I backup the save to Dropbox or smth and download the save on my new laptop and put it back into the right folder, will it keep my friends levels, stardrops and spouse and stuff?
