We still dont know how exactly the virtual gameshow works and I need an answer.
Option 1: Ready Player One
Contestants are fully conscious but are wearing vr headsets and haptic feedback suits. They use motion bases to increase emersion, but are still conscious in their physical world.
Option 2: The Matrix
Contestants become completely unconscious in their physical form and their brains are literally plugged into the simulation.
Option 3: Tron
Contestants physical body and mind become completely digitized. They are removed from physical reality and entered into the digital world to compete in the finals.
Option 4: Fake gameshow
The whole gameshow is a lie. Contestants are put unconscious and their brains are fed the gameshow as a dream sequence to keep their thoughts occupied while really they are being studied/ experimented on.

I personally think its closest to the matrix where their physical bodies fall unconscious and their brains are connected to the simulation. However we don’t know the circumstances. Do they permanently live in the virtual world like in the Matrix? Are they aware they are in simulation? Are they compelled to enter/ exit the simulation? Is the gameshow a simulation within a simulation?

What doesn’t make sense is that winning the finals grants you fame, fortune, and glory. If it’s completely virtual, why doesn’t everyone compete in the finals? You don’t get fame and glory from playing any other video game. This implies that there is some risk to entering/ exiting the gameshow, be it physical or financial. The “brave contestants” would only enter out of desperation or from being compelled for other reasons. Or if they have real good insurance on their safe entry/ exit of the gameshow

This all lends evidence to the theory that entering the gameshow is a much less accessible endeavor than simply putting on a vr headset. Either that or the whole thing is a lie fed to unconscious test subjects whose central nervous systems are fighting back against the gameshow I need answers

E.g. if we look at map choice: vegas is basically a shiny gambling paradise wich is nice on the outside but has certainly bad sides to it ( because of gambling) same would go for seul. The Finals is the greatest gameshow of all time and people compete to gain the attention of the Sponsors. The main sponsor of season one is Ospuze pro juice. There is a lot of theories about Ospuze and the Finals and how this might be a lot darker than we think. Im just waiting for a game theory video on it. Lol
