Personally, I think it depends what it's used for. I mean if we use it for the same tasks as other cryptography websites - like "decipher this hex cipher" then that's no different from what we already do. But if it's "I don't have a clue what this cipher is, please do everything for me", then that's very different from what we already do.

If we do it like that, we might as well ask Rob to just give us the clues in plain text, and we just combine them. On an unrelated note, I've noticed a recurring year from one of the clues, 1668. The Hope Diamond was gifted to King Louis XIV in 1668, relating to the one image in the Chill clue. Not sure. A common theme with the clues is that they come in pairs or have a twin/counterpart. It is often said that snowflakes NEVER repeat/come in pairs.
We also have a few clues about Ice and Snow! Snowflakes seem to fit there..
One theory we have, connecting the Ice and the Doubles/Pairs,
is the two Poles of the Earth, North and South Pole.

Yeah, maybe it depends on what is causing them to form. Different materials might form in varying speed and thus some are smooth, and some form slower and get a bit more knotty
