Feedback:
I would agree on that specific part, for Spectators to remain in spectator mode instead of going to "Not Ready" after a match. It would be a nice QOL for spectators to remain as spectators in case it's for the sake of going AFK in a private lobby. It doesn't remove the ability to kick after all.

There are always the "ideal" scenarios but there are cases like the one Duckside mentioned. Its better if you're going afk for extended periods of time to leave the lobby and return when you're ready Happy Leaving you in spectator would leave you occupying a seat that may never return. What if you never come back and leave your computer on šŸ„ŗ

As far as the bot issue, what I have seen several times is players will enter a lobby, send the same message a couple of times, and then leave the lobby. If there's a way to notice accounts that are doing this and ban them, it would be helpful. Normal players don't spam the same long message multiple times and then leave.

Falcon/Pelican Skip Voting Improvement

  • I think it is better to auto-skip the vote of falcon/pelican when they try to vote someone.

  • It would be nice if they will be notified when that happens like popping up message "You can only skip".

  • Benefit: This help players to remind them that they can only skip. Help new players when they play as falcon/pelican. Eliminates prolong voting time due to falcon/pelican forgot or didn't know they can't vote someone and still trying to smash some votes.

I feel that there's a bad form of map quantity and quality in this game. 3 maps are just spaceships because of an obvious ā€œinspirationā€ from a game you claim to take a different direction from, and 4 maps are just a mystery theme with cultism thrown in. 3 maps are unique enough but 2 of those are categorized as an ā€œadventureā€ theme. At least 3 out of the 10 are interesting in terms of visual theming.

Game mechanics are also reused. Not to say you NEED to change your mechanics on every map, the mechanics can be used again if done right, but the only reason Mothergoose is more interesting than the other spaceships to a wider crowd is because it has a repeated mechanic, that's it. If Mothergoose or Goosechapel did not exist but the other one did, I donā€™t think the majority would bat an eye. Some maps seem to be used as filler to say the game has a lot of maps.

What happened to the whole ā€œevery map should feel like its own gameā€ mindset? You can change your mind that's fine, but I think Bloodhaven is at its worst because the thing that made it interesting is now a claimed ā€œhard modeā€ shoved away into an option. Options are great, but the whole point of a map is to be a different option from other maps in general. Bloodhaven in classic is now a generic Mallord Manor with one reused mechanic from Basement, no alternate spots for Ducks, the demon change is now stuck behind a sabo instead of a mechanic that changes the way the game is played, and a visual change thatā€™s a complete afterthought.

I think each map should be labeled by complexity when choosing a map. (ā­ļøSimple/ā­ā­ļøModerate/ā­ā­ļøā­ļøComplex for example). Honestly, make Bloodhaven like it was and give it a clear Complex rating with stars.

Feedback: Identity Thief

I think it would be cool if Identity Thief was on an "either/or" alongside Morphling for all maps, like how Vulture & Falcon are now both available across all maps but cannot exist in the same match.

I think it would be cool, as currently, the Identity Thief is only available on 2 Maps: Jungle Temple & Basement, and I think it would be fun to see it pop up on a larger number of maps.

I think the current token events nowadays are a little unethical. Lemme explain.

You have 10 days to collect 2/3rd of all the available tokens. Not all of us have the time to play the game 45 mins to 2 hours a day to earn those tokens due to work or personal lives. Or in some cases - like mine - you're suffering from illness, injury or disability. I have a concussion and the game is pushing me to play even with the concussion despite it possibly hurting my recovery through FOMO (fear of missing out.) Being neurodivergent, I'm incredibly sensitive to games dangling shiny things like a carrot on a stick on front of me. I make impulse purchases every time. And when someone wants a specific item, they're gonna have to pay for it because not being able to play for a day but wanting the item is creating more FOMO, as well as driving people to impulse purchases.

Look, while I'm happy GGD doesn't really do microtransactions, you're essentially still setting up a system that's making people driving are sensitive to FOMO - be it because of addictive personalities, impulsiveness or otherwise - to spend money on this game. I can hardly eat because I'm low on money, I'm incredibly impulsive, have an addictive personality and am sensitive to FOMO. This event feels like it's preying on me, because I want one specific item. And so far I haven't gotten it. I'm afraid I won't ever be able to get it if I won't get it through acquiring free tokens. It's seriously eating away at me for most of the day. Despite being concussed and the fact I shouldn't be looking at a screen at all, I get on GGD almost every day to get my free tokens. Because the FOMO is driving me so hard. And I will probably live on bread and water for a week just to buy tokens if I don't get my one item.

My suggestion for a less predatory event towards addictive and neurodivergent people: make people able to earn the max amount of tokens, give at least 1/3rd more days than is needed to reach the limit and offer paid items on the side to go with the event. That way people aren't forced to sacrifice time they don't have - be it because they want to socialize, are ill/disabled/injured, are busy with work/family/life in general or are limited due to internet/problems with the hardware used to play the game. You will be making sure people have more freedom to use their time as seen fit. While also not preying as much on people's addictive personalities/existing addictions and whatever it is that makes someone obsessive and impulsive.

Goose Goose Duck, for me and a lot of my friends, isn't just a game. It's a way for us to get together and have a fun time and socialize. A lot of us are lonely. We have developed a certain dependency on this game. It means a lot to us. For a lot of my group, it's genuinely the main way for us to make friends over the internet and have a chance at talking with another human. Especially for those of us who are sick, disabled or socially inept. And the FOMO you're creating is preying exactly on people like us. That's why I urge to reconsider the way you're setting up these events. Make a more ethical system for us. Don't prey on those who are sensitive to addiction, impulsiveness and those who are disabled. Please. We're begging you.

Oh, and please reconsider what you're including in your events. I've asked tens of people if they were excited for the farts that you can obtain in these events at all. I've been trying for days to find anyone who showed even a slither of demand for these items. There was none. I'd suggest polling with your community about what to include in events. Because all of my friends and people I play with are annoyed when we have to spend 45 minutes to 2-3 hours a day, just to get a fart no one wanted. Listen to what the people want. That's what made GGD do so well in the first place. I believe you guys can do it.

ā€œMoreā€ does not mean ā€œBetterā€. To much of something can be a bad thing. That's why I had my whole map quantity and quality piece before. I think your game can benefit from having different themes and different core mechanics in each map while reusing the small mechanics and rarely reusing themes in a justified design philosophy.

With that in mind, I think the game modes has a quantity and quality flaw too. Three modes can easily be put into one other mode (Iā€™m mainly talking about Draft and Corruption as a setting in classic, but maybe even Trick or Treat can be an option in Classic as well), I did say that having Corruption as an option instead of a main map gimmick is a bad thing, and that's because it was good when it was on a map that had an interesting option for veterans to keep playing around with a new gimmicks, but if my opinion is not gonna change any minds on the dev team, I think it should be an option in Bloodhaven classic instead of a ā€œgamemodeā€. Tastes like Chicken is a more expanded version of Dine n Dash because both are a team game that has killing as its middle name and both have a condition of the last remaining team wins, yes blue is mainly supposed to win by surviving in DnD, but why not have that concept in Taste like chicken where there can be optional team roles that change how the game is played for example. Anyway, Goosehunt is its own thing, and also the case for Task Race.

With too much being a bad thing in mind, why not organize the roles too. Yes there already ā€œorganizedā€ by teams, but why not have a filter system that organizes by stars and/or teams for example. I think in general if you are wanting to make a bunch of something in anything, you need to have a system that you can easily find things in the big amount of options. Similar themes and mechanics in maps can be organized too. Why not have an organized filter system for maps as well by categorizing ā€œjailā€ maps for example and all other reused mechanics.

I would first troubleshoot your network. If using wifi or ethernet cable, reboot the modem and/or router you are connected to. If using mobile data, reboot the mobile device. When the connection is restored, complete a speed test and ensure BOTH upload and download speeds are above 10 Mbps.
Certain countries or localities may require using a VPN to ensure a stable connection.

With the new update a few players are noticing we cannot join friends lobbies and/or the invites being sent are not showing up as received.
Meaning the only way to join a friends lobby is if you have the code of the lobby.

Some issues with saved settings being reset upon re-entry of the game such as mic echo cancellation etc.

Claw machine glitches in Hang out lobbies too.

Bugs we've noticed:

  1. Cannot join anyone's lobby without the code. People only showing up as in menu.
  2. Kicked people from a lobby can immediately rejoin. This allows toxic/problematic players to rejoin and it's really frustrating.
  3. People being disconnected despite clicking the "i'm still here"

Sin Eater shouldn't "tick" when they go to use their ability. Everyone runs away thinkings it's a bomb/are alerted they're going to die, and it makes the role almost worthless in corruption mode.

I would love if the Timer for how long the Monster has, to be able to be adjustable manually, as far too many games, especially for Mummy, feel one sided and even if you figure out who the mummy is, if there's a total of 8-12 people, you don't even need to vote them out - they can't kill everyone fast enough.
Having the ability to make lobbies longer so it's more about "figure out who the monster is" instead of "just don't die and the time runs out lol" I think would make the game mode much more fun. As it stands right now, the timer makes playing Mummy suck unless it's a full lobby, (and even then) and it can be really rough, even if you're not figured out.

This is a graphical driver failure, and happens when your DX11 drivers write the wrong resolution to your registry.

If you are using windows, type WINDOWS+R to open the run window. Type in ā€œregeditā€ and launch the registry editor. Under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE, delete every folder with Gaggle (Gaggle Studios, Gaggle Studios INC, Gaggle.Fun, GaggleStudios). Be careful NOT to delete the Google folder. Relaunch your client, and have fun!

It would be possible to lock the Draft game mode until you reach a specific level in-game. The main reason I ask for this is because a lot of new players most of the times do not read what each role does and they kill players in game without knowing the consequences.

You (the devs) should see if there's a way to add/disable certain roles in draft mode like you can in classic, even if it's only for private rooms. I think it'll make it more fun to enable the ability to have, say a Falcon and Pelican in the same lobby or bring back the Crow role for bloodhaven

By nature, private lobbies are more restrictive and exclusive. Many people who prefer private lobbies are sharing their codes exclusively within their stream communities. The Duckscord is the official discord server, with a link on the game's custom game screen. Chris and other Gaggle staff and other streamers also promote the Duckscord.
While the LFG lobbies are usually good, the best lobbies I've played in have usually been streamer community lobbies.

If somebody disconnects them yes, their body stays for 90 seconds with the disconnect symbol next to their name, but if they crash or close the game, they disappear completely and won't show as disconnected until the meeting which might cause some issues with people mistaking what happened, but is unfortunately unavoidable.

I had already gotten the white bloody t-shrt out of the white token machine ages ago. Now i've pulled the same shirt out of the event claw machine. To clarify, only one person should be given a fake player as the "duck", everyone else should be told who that person is as the "duck", the game revolves around working out who that is, without letting them know so they don't hit the button and win.

If you are experiencing different to this, I would suggest sending in a bug report.
I'm not sure if the lounge has that feature, but you can always use the Zendesk link found in #troubleshooting-and-bug-reports

My suggestion; perhaps it's somehow possible to be in the Lounge while you wait for a match to be found? I don't personally use the Quick Play system currently (since I can only play it on my laptop, which is during the weekends) but by the looks of it, being able to "Background Matchmaking" might be helpful in making any wait times less noticeable.

What about adding quick play button on the find game menu next to play. Where play is greyed out unless a room is clicked on. Then quick play right next to it Incase you can't find what you are looking for or any good lobbies and easily switch from that screen. Also bringing the traction to quick play.

I would first troubleshoot your network. If using wifi or ethernet cable, reboot the modem and/or router you are connected to. If using mobile data, reboot the mobile device. When the connection is restored, complete a speed test and ensure BOTH upload and download speeds are above 10 Mbps.
Certain countries or localities may require using a VPN to ensure a stable connection.

Absolutely agreed. And as a comparison, I enjoy Marvel Snap, and it is free. There are different currencies and it takes a very very long time to earn the premium currency (would probably take a year to earn enough Collector's Tokens to unlock a high-tier card). But I've chosen a few times to support the game and purchase that currency because I've definitely gotten entertainment and enjoyment from the game.

After the first month the rewards are randomised meaning with enough luck, you could, in theory, get 7 gold every day.
Gold is of course, intended to be the premium currency though and is meant to help keep the servers running, can't give it away too much of else there would be no game.

Other ways to earn free gold include the claw machines and sometimes through giveaways via the monthly dev log.

There's a bug in the new map where if you stay inside the automatic doors in secret lab long enough, you can't get out unless someone walks up and opens it from the outside. Otherwise you're just stuck in there.

Previously, the game worked without using VPN , but recently I stopped being allowed into the game , I solved this problem by turning on VPN. After the update, the microphone does not work and is marked with a red sign, as well as there is no headphone icon. I just have to say that I hate how the claw machine event works. Getting those coins is soooo tedious. It's purely luck based, doesn't matter how good or bad you are at the game. And you don't even get the winner bonus if you get the first place in task race.

Hi guys, good morning (or good "whatever time it's now for you"), I just wanted to say something that I've been noticing during GGD updates and I still can't see a lot of progress at it, what's work to correct bugs in-game, I mean, I know it must be hard to correct them, but I think that after the last update (where the number of bugs have increased a lot) maybe instead of working in "new events" or "new maps" or "new skins", you could just focus in correcting these bugs, the game at this moment already have a lot of fun content, and the only thing that is ruining the game for me and my friends are the bugs, which don't stop increasing, so if you could focus now on removing and correcting these bugs for a few weeks I'm pretty sure that people will be much more happy to play the game.
But sure, it's just my opinion.

There are different types of updates, some new content, some quality of life, etc. Thats what keeps GGD growing and evolving.
With each update the team is on the lookout to squash each bug that is reported, especially if it's reproducible.
That is why we have various ways to report issues and if you come across them it is important to provide as much detail as possible so the team and replicate it. We're pretty quick at fixing things as soon as we are aware of them Engineer

If you're using steam, an update will be queued, and if you do not see one you might have to restart your steam client. If you downloaded GGD from the gaggle site, an updated version will have been uploaded. If on mobile, you'll need to check your app store directory for any updates. Thank you for your patience!

You can generally speed it along sometimes if it's a caching thing by going to app settings, find the play store, open "storage" and clear cache.
Be very careful not to delete data, you only want to clear cache

Just a couple of things to mention today:

  1. I hate how much I get farts from the token machine. I don't use farts, I don't enjoy them, and I always seem to unlock all the farts and miss out on hats.

  2. I despise that the bodyguard role can guard neutrals. Every single time I get bodyguard and have to guard a neutral, I end up being killed/eaten by them, even if I tell them that I'm their bodyguard. It sucks. I hate it.

When will we get the next roles/maps/feature/cool stuff?

As soon as it's ready! The gaggle team develop quickly, and we release patches fairly often. We don't often give out firm dates because it's either going to be a lie if we're wrong, or it'll be a rushed product that might sacrifice quality for speed. This could translate into releasing something without sufficient testing and creating lots of bugs for the game.

If you find none of that explanation sufficient, as Herbert always says, today we are one day closer than yesterday.

On PC, I can not join any lobbies, it just spins "Loading" and a Main Menu button (which doesnt work). I also see no lobbies when I try to find a game. When I restart game, it loads to main screen, with a blue spinny thing, and never goes away. I need to close game with Task Manager. Restart again,loads to main screen, blue spinny goes away, and now the Custom Game button does not work. The game has broken every which way but loose. Re-install makes no difference.

This is usually caused by a registry error. If you are using windows, type Windows+R to open the run window. Type in ā€œregeditā€ and launch the registry editor. Under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE, delete every folder with Gaggle (Gaggle Studios, Gaggle Studios INC, Gaggle.Fun, GaggleStudios). Be careful NOT to delete the Google folder. Relaunch your client, and have fun!

i am a mobile player and the voice chat justā€¦gives me nothing but problems. i can BARELY hear anything/anyone even with all volumes turned up. but then suddenly the volume will snap back to normal so i adjust volumes back to ā€œnormalā€ but then i have an echo and have to stay muted in order to play. i turn my phone volume down, still an echo. so basically with this new voice system my options are: barely hear anything or play muted bc of an echo.

I miss when Lover wasn't a thing in Draft. Can that be made an option in the settings? Lover is the one and only role I don't like because you're essentially a basic goose with the string attached that you die when your partner dies. It is the sole detrimental role in the game, and i dread being forced to be a Lover goose with another Lover goose who inconveniently randomed into the role.

my feedback is: please remove or change the daily token limit, you have to play every day of the event and get a 100 every day just to get the max Total event tokens which isnā€™t even enough to buy all of the items 10/15 so not only do you have to grind for ten days straight no missing but then even if you do there is a chance you donā€™t get the one thing you wanted??? this seems unfair to players who canā€™t play everyday (which is a lot of people) and i understand having a token cap for the event but please change the daily cap itā€™s very frustrating. thank you for your consideration Heart

Mildly inconveniencing error is a nice euphemism for things to be completely broken. The new report feature isn't great either since you have no feedback if the issue is even being acknowledged. Proximity chat still sucks, even after a week of it being known. Esper role is completely useless again, since it can't kill at all. I've always praised developers of this game for listening to the community but it's seriously starting to feel like it's not as true anymore. Instead of a fully functioning game we have yet another stupidly grindy claw machine event. Don't get me wrong, I really like the game and even those new cosmetics, but the way the event works is far from great and the fact that the game doesn't work properly isn't helping.

We take player feedback and reports very seriously, we do our best to continuously improve the player experience. While the latest update has cause difficulties for some players, we are working directly with our third party voice providers to resolve problems as quickly as we can. Major reworks or restructuring can result in undesirable results, especially on a global scale, but in the long-run it will bring even better experiences.
It is important to submit reports if/when you experience technical difficulties as any information helps us tackle any ongoing issues. Each report is received and information is relayed to the team to help diagnose and in turn fix.

Bug reporting gives them a lot more information and files then the old discord channel way. The new way is encouraged and they are asking everyone to send bug reports with this but and any bug you encounter. They are all seen and collected to fix bugs asap. Without the new bug reports its a guessing game how any bug happened.

The changes to the "test mic" button ruined that feature for me.

Every time I join a lobby I do a quick mic test so I can make sure I'm not too loud or too quiet compared to everyone else. Now when you test your mic, you can no longer hear other players. Which could have been achieved before by just deafening in game. Now the player no longer has a choice.

There's also a (hopefully) bug that goes with this. Where if you press test mic and you close out the menu, all players will stay deafened. So you'd have to reopen the menu just to cancel out of the mic test again

could the old game modes such as TOT and dine& dash be optimized with instructions written somewhere, there's rarely someone playing these two modes, and even we got a room the playing experience was not that great.

In dine dash, there's no rules but knives so people just killing randomly, its often ducks won, but neither teams I played having fun cuz I just get killed with no reasons.
Also when the people were only 6 or 7 but start a dine dash, blue team appeared only 1 member and that member is vulture, other modes can still play when number is =5/ >5, but that cant applied to this mode

Chris and Gaggle team - I LOVE the new Astral change and I haven't even tried it out, but being able to stay in astral form sounds great! (Do have to be careful with it but I'm happy you no longer have the limited time!)
I love the fact it also no longer has you locked into astral form for 10+ seconds, meaning if you witness something, you can quickly act upon that information

It's honestly a fantastic change, and so is the Pigeon having marks on those they sneezed on. Sure the button doesn't light up near them, but being able to see who you sneezed on even if you're not in sneeze range, (and helps know which is which) is great - I love that and the Silencer/Party change, I appreciate those QOL things a lot!

Looking forward to playing Hoot & Seek! It's perfect for when we have a private lobby open and are waiting for more players - sometimes we have the whole 2-5 people (and if it's between 6-7, there's goose hunt or TLC!) so this mode perfectly rounds out the gap where there'll never be an idle lobby anymore when myself and a friend of mine host, and that makes me SUPER happy. Thank you!
