Idea: if your role is a specific species of bird then to you and any other people of that role, it should look like what that bird looks like in real life
I have a somewhat different idea: wouldn't it be cool to create a kind of story mode in GGD? The game has a lore, but it's a little imperceptible. This would also be a cool way for some to be able to play even without Wi-Fi. This story mode could explain that cinematic/trailer in the game that shows the ducks trying to stop something the geese were doing. It could also explain some classes like the pelican (which according to the lore is like an avatar of the vulture) among others with a mystery behind it. I think it's too crazy of my mind, but I also think it would be interesting.
We have definitely been thinking of various ways to expand and present the lore (THERES JUST SO MUCH

My two ideas are to add a trading system for cosmetics (which would also means duplicates wouldnāt turn to feathers but youād have extras to trade with people) and I think since lovers have their own winning screen they should also get a lovers start screen so they know who their lovers are :)

Ability: You can move the body of the goose you killed to another place on the map, but it will be random.
Would be fine to have a "mute all for everyone"-Button for the lobby owner in the lobby-area. Sometimes there is important to say and too many geese don't stop talking. So it would be a good idea to have a mute buton, muting all geese so the owner of the lobby can say some impotant things, like special rules for his lobby (e.g. no random kills, pelcian should not report if eaten some geese,...). I think, that would be an important improvement for lobby owners. Thanks.

Why this matters:
Accessibility ā Makes it easier for participants who canāt (or donāt want to) read during the meeting.
Focus & multitasking ā People can stay engaged without constantly looking at the chat window.
Inclusion ā In voice-only spaces, text contributions wonāt get overlooked.
Language support ā Messages could be translated and then spoken aloud in the listenerās language.
Personalization ā Assign each participant a unique AI voice for clarity and a more natural feel.
How it could work:
Message queue system to ensure messages are read in order without interrupting speakers.
It should work with all languages like english, turkish, german...
But the messages should still be in chat for people that want to read

All the death animations are still there 
Many have asked why were they something you set, that you never see (because only your victim saw your selection). That's why that tab was removed them from the collections (clearing up space is usually good bonus as well)
Top features:
- History of the games played with a replay option
- Win rate statistics
- Number of tasks completed at the end of the game (to motivate geese to do them)
Regarding number of tasks in classic/draft, everyone will play the game they want to play. Some geese may play more task oriented to go for task wins, some may prefer to investigate and deduce the ducks to get them voted out. There is an icon that shows who completed the most tasks if thats a stat that is important to you.
The geese are playing for the same team, the ducks are playing for the same team, the neutrals are out there with their own goals.

I think the ability to unlock all roles should be added
Some roles don't necessarily work together or on some maps thats why some roles are mutually exclusive to each other or available on certain maps

As a personal GGD clips editor, I would love to have a feature if possible to see the replay of the entire round and the full map, although not sure if there's too many things to keep track of that would unoptimize the game. The most basic would be an mp4 of the entire zoomed out map and everyone's position. Though now thinking about it, I have no idea if the game application itself can allow us to download or export files...
Also, another thing for editing I would love is we could download game logs from the site? especially since it only stores the previous 20 rounds, and we play 20+ per session

Hello, good night! I would like to request a price reduction for Goose Goose Duck on the Brazilian server, as the current prices are much higher than what most players here can afford. I believe that with this decrease, more players would be able to make purchases more often and obtain better-quality skins. It doesnāt need to be a huge reduction, just a symbolic adjustment that benefits both sides.

Roles and Gameplay Customization

āI suggest making flexible settings in private lobbies for more variety and chaos. For example: changing the number of roles that an Assassin can shoot in one game, the ability of an Assassin to kill multiple players in one meeting, making it possible to change the cooldown of abilities such as infecting a Pigeon, reloading a Demolitionist/Clown/Mime, making it possible for a Canadian report when detonating by bomb, making arrows pointing to corpses for a Mortician, allowing a Raven to try to guess roles multiple times per meeting, make it possible to vent Dodo/Mimic, make Falcon and Vulture a team, and much more.
This has definitely been something that has been under consideration for quite some time, maybe as early as Day 1. There are lots of things to consider, pros and cons, when it comes to ideas like this, both in technical, UI/UX and gameplay sense.
Priority of course is keeping GGD friendly to new and experienced players.
Short Answer: Still under consideration. How to do it and more importantly how to do it right 
Ghost Tasks
After you die it's somewhat boring to wait around for the game to finish with no further way to contribute or engage. Giving ghosts some further purpose would be fun & keep people from ditching once they die. Ghosts could get tasks that can help their team win.

Goose Ghost Only Tasks: Increase the line of sight temporarily for alive players, A task to give ducks a louder footprint noise for x seconds, A task that increases the kill/sabo timer for ducks, etc.

Duck Ghost Only Tasks like: Decreasing the kill timer for their team mates, Closing single doors (rather than all like the sabo), messing with alive players like short teleports randomly to mess them up, seeing glimpses of a ghost silhouette within their vision to make them think they've been seen.

Ghost Vote. Just a fake way to add your vote and show who you're voting for in meetings that only ghosts can see.

Player gats ambility to create own roles by adding new role to it's list and leting him setup the role by settings, some kind of code blocks or nodes and letting him turn no this role on his lobby or sharing it with others

Something similar that we implemented in the past was support for a third party software called Outplayed by Overwolf that would record your session and highlight moments like kills, meetings, etc.

Sometimes in Lobbys it is very loud esp. if younger players are welcome. So it would be a very good idea if the Lobby owner gets a button to mute all other players so he/she can make some announcments and everybody must listen.
Sometimes it would also fine to have this button in meetings. Maybe with time stopping, but maybe a problem if the owner misuses his power.
Every public server I've been in, including my own when I host, has house rules. I think most players get annoyed having to say them/having to listen when the host has to announce before starting every round what the rules are in the case some new people joined. If there could be a place to type up house rules that'd be pretty cool. It'd also make it easier for new players joining so they don't get confused if people are talking over the rule announcement

Player Marketplace:
No game allows this unless it goes through a third party marketplace. Reason being is that bad eggs will form their own black market and undercut the game
Steam already has an issue with fraud that we deal with. Some accounts activate and purchase a ton of cosmetics with stolen CCs. We need to monitor them for chargebacks. Before we deactivate the accounts they sell them on unregulated third party marketplaces.
Putting in trading would further exacerbate this issue

Suggestion: Falcon role is boring and primitive compared to other similar roles, namely the Pelican and the Raven. In fact, you just kill, you can't vent and have no abilities, but the main problem is not in the difficulty, but in the lack of unique gameplay. When the role was first added, it might have seemed interesting, but now it seems boring and uninteresting. I suggest adding an ability to the Falcon that will allow you to simplify the role a little and add interest.

Oh, sorry, I described it a little incorrectly. I am suggested Falcon's ability to "temporarily zoom in", i.e. like a Hawk during a hunt, only without the restriction of vision like the "Birdwatcher" and this is a cooldown ability.

Is there any way the "recent players" tab in the social menu could also show the name players used in the lobby you saw them in? It's really hard to know who to block/friend when their friend ID/username isn't the same as their in game name.
Unfortunately a players in game name is not tied to their account, whereas their friendID is

Good afternoon, dear Goose Goose Duck Community and Dev Team! Me -and the community that I am involved in - are in deep love with this game and we spend a lot of time playing turns after turns dealing with ducks and tasks. Since we really love to play with these game but we have a fairly large friend group so it is quite challenging to put such effort into our time schedule for everyone to enjoy the game on the same level, could you please increase the maximum player count in lobbies to 20 players? I have no idea if it is possible or at least relatively easy to make this change because sadly I don't have much experience with server management or coding, but it would be really amazing to have the opportunity of a massive lobby with twelve to fourteen innocent people and four rampaging ducks in the same lobby. If it is too difficult to make, I'd understand but I am most curious what is your opinion in this topic, and if you can make it, I'd love to be the part of it.

I actively use the statistics on your website, but for the local tournaments I organize, we need more detailed information.
Do you plan to release a public API in the future?
Currently, the data on the website is limited.
For high-level game analysis, I would like to see player movement:
Player telemetry: X/Y coordinates to build an interactive replay map (to see who was where).
Event timestamps: the exact time of specific actions (who completed which quest/ability and exactly when; not all of these parameters are displayed on the website yet).
Right now, we see only the total amount, but not the timeline. Having this data would be a huge plus for the development of our community and game analysis.

as mentioned in the previous post, we currently don't offer a public API. Have ideas for tools/features you might want to see? You're in the right place. We use to have support (we may still have it) with Outplayed that recorded your sessions and matches and timestamps events like kills and deaths but we didn't hear too much feedback or use of it.
Nice to know people use the stats provided on the website. That tool is currently in beta so never know what additional data we may add to it. Thanks for the feedback

The development of this topic like Outplayed is very interesting. But it would be very interesting to expand quest IDs so that it is possible to track the movement of the game by timings (these are wishes and suggestions, as well as adding a map of player movement to track after the game ends).
I am developing local Goose Goose Duck tournaments (with point scoring like in the Mafia game, like local MMR) for sporting interest and player ratings inside a small community; in this regard, your site and JSON logs from your site help.
If it is possible to expand them in the future, that would also be cool, instead of an API. Thanks!)

Small QoL change to Serial Killer idea:
Randomize the target after each meeting. There have been too many games where the target is either hiding all game or the known Canadian. Sure, you can kill others, but your cooldown will be high.
Instead of just "any map" what about letting us check mark multiple maps when searching for public lobbies?
Currently you can only search for all maps (including Lounge which I am not interested in and want to filter out. I only want to play maps that have intercom on them) or 1 map specifically at a time which can often lead to no results for that particular map and be time consuming trying to find a lobby.

- You have a seperate chat from the others that has ghosts in it that you can only open up twice per game.
- You can see the ghost chat but you cannot differentiate the ghosts, be careful! A dead duck may be tricking you!
In many if the games I play, I generally waste a lot of time trying to unlock the sabotages.
Perhaps a future map could have sabotages already unlocked, but just one or two at a time and it occasionally randomly shuffles what sabotage is available to you

More Investigate Roles in Draft
We all love draft right, something ive noticed is that in the old version of ggd you could run around doing ur rolee, now it feels like its mostly just goose killers vs the others bad birds. The othe goose roles are slow and not hard to catch up. I feel like in draft games, alot of people are avoiding investgate roles, tht they didnt before.
Something to battle this could be new investigate roles that make them more fun and entertaining to play, reworks sum old roles like medium, detective, and scientist (i dont think anyone like scientist, sorry).
This could be done by perchance have a night/day cycle like raven does, to investigte someone during meetings instead of runnning around and try to find them. OR you could look at what other people say about the roles here in the general ideas.
I remember back in the days tht investigate roles was so much fun to play. Now its sadly feels jus like killers vs killers...
There are definitely a lot of roles! Everyone prefers some roles over others that's the great part of having so many options available 
In general I think its fair to say that people do like having that kill button available to them for "defense"

That being said, the awesome thing about Goose Goose Duck is there are many lobby settings available to help cater a lobby you are looking for

Firstly thanks for the suggestion/feedback while also acknowledging one of the biggest challenge of supporting a free to play live service game, keeping it sustainable and operational. Unfortunately when it comes to introducing exchanging of "free currency" (silver and dust) for "premium currency" (gold), bad eggs would create a black market and undercut the game. Fraud, bots, cheaters, stolen accounts are the tip of the iceberg of bad egg behavior we have to address daily

The default choice is fine and probably the best one in the social deduction aspect of this game but perhaps it should have one accesibility option having the old blind votes (show the number of votes instead of individual birds) in the settings -

I kind of like the aspect of it, it gives way less info to understand the number of geese vs non geese in meetings but it kind of bugs me it still makes you wait while not explaining anything to the players so I reworked it having a new votes option and maybe still keeping this one with some changes -

It shows if a player has been voted by atleast one player (or votes from the wheel in the carnival), it could be done so with the old blind votes and having only a 1+ next to the player when votes are revealed
Players can still deduce the number of geese vs non geese but this option makes it way more complicated to do so and no longer makes the pelican/falcon existence hidden in the meetings

Instead of giving 5% xp after doing a certain number of tasks, its percentage should increase per every task done similar to how the gravy bonus works while also having a limit
One idea that I had for this was every 3 tasks would give out 2% xp with a cap of 10% xp -
Winner Xp
Instead of giving a random percentage multiple of 5, it should give more closer values so the xp is barely affected by chance and more so affected by faction in which the player belongs
I got no idea for this one but I'd rather have anything instead of the current winner xp bonus -
Task and Kills Trophies
Instead of randomly chosing one player with the most tasks/kills done when there's ties, now all the players in the tie are given the trophy
And instead of using a trophy icon for most tasks done, which can be confused as MVP, its icon should be a check list to be clearer, additionally have the most kills icon be a skull or something because the knife represents ducks which doesn't make sense to have it represent as most kills (and also because the pelican should be credited with the most kills too) -

I understand the dev's decision to not have it already as it might encourage players forcing others to play in a specific way which could be toxic
Ggd is fun because most of its gameplay allows multiple playstyles that can be used and this last change may affect that, the only limit to those playstyles are the role's win conditions and the host's rules
I still bring out this suggestion as it could perhaps be added in a way it can't be used to force others to play in a certain way or be used in a toxic manner
Give a log reward for the daily chest after completing its 30 first days so it's easy to keep track of what you have gotten within the month

A more sensitive microphone would be helpful; I struggle to be heard and I often have to shout.
There are settings for amplitude and sensitivity found in the settings panel that you can adjust
But that's not enough
if you're too quiet you can try increasing your amp setting up a couple (DO NOT DO TOO MUCH AT ONCE at the risk of being wayy to loud all of a sudden)
If you still cant be heard, you will need to check your hardware device
or third party settings if your mic goes through another software
other common solution is that the wrong mic is selected
For private lobbies, custom role settings would be amazing. Ex: Giving specifically Professional low vision, changing guaranteed Lobbyist, Soldier and Vulture ability amounts. Or even a longer kill cooldown on one role. Something like that could bring more customization to private games with friends and buddies.

i think increasing the blocked player list would also be beneficial since more than 15 people have been not so friendly in some lobbies me or my friends make :T
i barely have any blocked but my friends have some that get tedious to ban from lobbies they make everytime we play
An idea that people who play with friends, or in private lobbies, that we'd like is that to add every role when in private lobbies. But for specific roles that may bug out like Drone, or hawk/looter, (Though Warlock and Drone maybe can be worked on a bit to fit other maps) can be left out and stay in their respective maps. But roles like fortune teller, cupid or others should be able to be added by a setting in a private lobby.
Another idea that I thought is that for casual when you put a role as '?' you should be able to put it's counter part as '?' too. (For example, Putting soldier and lobbyist with '?' but of course both can't be in the game)
Another idea for corruption roles, such as inquisitor/seamstress, is that these can also fit the casual/draft game modes. (Just keep that ducks appear as evil and the other roles, such as high priest/initiate can stay in corruption but I feel like Sin eater could be worked a bit to fit in casual/ or just make a counter part for casual like high priest/assassin that just self bombs like a terrorist).
This is just so playing with friends can be more chaotic and even if a bit op, it could be funner and of course you don't have to turn on the options.
Ps. PLEASE add a setting that makes lovers a secondary role š

When new roles are added, they may start off on one map that they were initially designed for and as time goes may be expanded to other maps after a trial period. Decision is usually based off reception, feedback, and fine tuning that comes with new content releases.
For example roles like the Hawk that relies on the Mallardon, would not work on other maps that don't have the Mallardon. Similar to the roles of other gamemodes such as the ones that rely are are designed around the corruption mechanic in the corruption game mode, a mechanic that is not included in classic/draft).
In draft mode, you can "Exclude roles" so they are not included in the draft pool if you want to exclude them 
That isn't what I meant when I said roles that can bug out, lol. I haven't seen any bugs. (Except a glitch between clown and survivalist that makes the whole screen black and you have to rejoin)
I meant like for exanple if you were to add my suggestion, then yeah I understand not adding actually every role since some can freak out on other maps. I just thought of it as a new idea to have a new experience with friends (Sorry if my english is bad, it's not my first language)

I am writing to you regarding the task distribution in Goose Goose Duck.
Currently, the game suffers from the fact that all tasksāincluding those shared by both ducks and geeseāare located at fixed, unchanging positions. Since there is no randomization, ducks are exposed far too quickly by experienced players. Geese simply have to monitor the known fixed points to immediately spot any irregularities.
To increase the strategic depth and replay value, I suggest randomizing the task locations. An unpredictable distribution would deepen the social deduction element, as simply watching fixed spots would no longer automatically lead to exposing ducks.

As soon as it's ready! The gaggle team develop quickly, and we release patches fairly often. We don't often give out firm dates because it's either going to be a lie if we're wrong, or it'll be a rushed product that might sacrifice quality for speed. This could translate into releasing something without sufficient testing and creating lots of bugs for the game.
If you find none of that explanation sufficient, as we always say, today we are one day closer than yesterday.
I would say we're pretty good when it comes to releasing content. Most games don't update at all. We're also free to play

Adding the Arabic language option to the room language settings isn't about translation, but rather about making it possible to create rooms for Arabic speakers, as accessing an Arabic room can be difficult.
So yeah, I donāt know if this is the right channel, but basically for a while now Iāve been playing every evening with my family, itās really fun and we donāt have much to complain about regarding the game except for a few small inconveniences.
First, when it comes to cosmetics, I feel like itās a bit too hard to get them for casual players. Not everyone has the time or money to invest to have a really cool look.
Then, secondly but still quite noticeable the RNG for roles: almost every time, the first players get the best roles, and the last ones get roles that are a bit less fun.
I donāt know if my opinion is really relevant, but there you go.

Goose Goose Duck is a free to play game, cosmetics and premium currency are what help keep GGD operational. You're right not everyone has time or financial ability to purchase/earn cosmetics and thats OK they are completely optional and do not provide any gameplay advantage. Collect silver just by playing and use that silver to collect dust for the dust shop, alternatively there is usually a flight pass in progress to earn flight points by playing.
If you're playing Draft the picking order is randomized. The lower the picking number, the larger the picking pool is. You have more roles to be offered to you from more factions.

Hello! This idea has probably already been pitched, but I would love to get some ideas or alternatives to what Iām about to say:
Iāve noticed that when the Assassin shoots someone a 2nd time (either another player or themselves) players start revealing their roles since at that point the Assassin no longer can kill during meetings. I personally find this a little problematic since the purpose of the Assassin role is to prevent people from claiming their roles during the game (wether or not itās an actual problem is subjective). I get why thereās a limit for how many players they can kill during meetings & completely agree with a cap. However after the 2nd meeting kill, many players know that theyāre safe to reveal their roles since at that point the Assassin has either used up their 2 guesses or died on their second guess.
My suggestion: The only thing I can think of is increasing the Assassinās meeting kills from 2 to 3. Idk how much that would affect gameplay or if it would make the role too op.
Hi, can i suggest more player for the side mode than 5 players only? 2 sniper + 2 helper is good but why only 1 š¦?
I'd love it if the Task Race mode had the ability for everyone to talk to eachother globally like Hoot & Seek.
I think by how it's designed, the assassin is encouraged to save their last bullet to fulfill their purpose instead of going 2/2 and allowing players to full claim
If you dont want full claiming of any sort in your lobbies you can set up rules or have the raven in your game since it does a better job punishing role claimers
Since I don't think it would be a good idea to increase the amount of bullets

So what if there could be an age verification and have it labeled 18+ on someoneās profile or only 18+ people can join those lobbies. I say this because I rarely get a game where I donāt get kick because I āsound youngā or āsound like a childā itās so bad I hardly get a chance to play.

Need some noise supression, noise gate isn't really enough
Depending on your audio settings you may need to make adjustments through third party services. As everyone has different audio settings. Echo cancellation does it best to prevent echo, you can also adjust sensitivity and amplification and individual player audio levels

Add arabic language to the game
Iād like to suggest adding role restriction indicators and incompatible role indicators in-game.
It would be helpful if the game showed role restrictions and incompatible roles during the round. This could help players understand roles better and avoid misunderstandings.
Right now, players can only see incompatible roles in the settings before the game starts, and that only exists in Classic mode. But in Draft mode, especially in public lobbies, many players donāt know which roles are incompatible (for example, Lobbyist and Soldier).
Also, some Duck roles can't hide/vent/enter the fog, but currently only Silencer Duck says this clearly. There are other Duck roles with the same limitation, but the game does not mention it. Adding an indicator for roles that can't hide/vent/enter the fog would make the roles easier to understand.
One possible downside is that adding too many indicators could make the UI feel cluttered or overwhelming, especially for newer players. If every role has multiple restriction labels or warnings, the role descriptions might become harder to read quickly during a round.
A cleaner solution could be using small icons, tooltips, or expandable indicators instead of large text descriptions. That way, the game can still provide important information without overloading the screen.

I would like to suggest a role for killers and or neutral and the name is called randomizer or mystery box you have a little box ability and you have a killer cooldown but the button looka like a question mark and when your cooldown is up you click the button and it selects one person randomly to have a certain window to kill one duck/goose i havenāt tweaked the idea yet so it might be a bit choppy but im working on it.

Have a Survivor (tv show) element where someone can find an immunity item that nullifies all votes towards them only during a single vote if they opt to use it beforehand. Maybe call it the Golden Goose. This could be turned on/off via options and be displayed for everyone to know if it's been found. If the holder of the item is killed, it drops or transfers to the duck/goose that killed it.

We originally had this but it became way too disorienting and problematic for the ghosts. It was taken out in favor of letting dead players hear one another.
i believe this has been a thing in general ideas for quite some time but proximity chat like better crewlink since the way u have it is if their not in the same room cant talk to each other unless a player is at exit and other player is next to exit and it ruins a lot since i cant over hear conversations at all, which is quite sad.

Some people find the medium to be pretty OP...what if the medium only saw ghosts when a duck was in the vicinity?
The medium role is way too powerful if there is only 1 duck, however if you have 2 ducks the ghosts can easily fool the medium.
The medium should be hunted first; before you start killing as a duck we advise trying to sniff out the medium. Aldo adding tasks to slow down the game helps with this.

Can't recall if this has been raised or not, but please can we have volume controls for individual players, (some have super hot mics, and in full lobbies it can be chaotic) Plus a hot key for deafen all ( like how M and T relate to your personal audio) would be great for streaming, so you can address your chat/stream without going to the main audio settings to use the slider ....

I haven't seen this and I don't know if it was mentioned before (this doesn't necessarily apply to me) but I was thinking about adding a colour blind mode or something since I noticed some of the tasks are colour based, like the wires one? Like adding shapes to the wire ends
2 of our developers are colorblind; so we try to snap an array of colors for these tasks. Many of the ones that rely specifically on it can be refreshed to get a better palette - we will add symbols to them later

When it comes to twitch integrations we can implement drops of in-game currency, materials, cosmetics. We are also looking into ways your channel can interact with current game (i.e. break tie votes) if the game host enables those features.
We are not going to integrate anything that requires additional currency.
YOU can set up events that trigger on YOUR stream for donations, bits, channel points to YOUR channel but those won't be associated with Gaggle. That functionality is already out there.

Allow you to assign the host to another player if the original host has to leave and the others want to keep playing.
Need chat notifications for people not in voice, like a number or a sound. Otherwise people communicating over voice don't realize or forget that someone's typing in the chat.
These are already in the game. Both a visual mark and sound effect play to notify you. Make sure your sound effects are on.
Would be nice to clear chat box every game OR have something (ie: bot that says "NEW GAME" or visual like --------------- ) to indicate new game chat. It gets confusing when old game chat shows in the new game.

the vigilante should get at least 2 kills per game instead of one... reason because if your playing a 16 player game with 3 ducks. its kind of sucks if Vig only gets one shot...

^^^ There are more powerful and advanced player roles coming soon. One of which is the sheriff who can kill multiple times but will die instantly if they kill a goose.
The Vigilante isn't designed to go around murdering people. It's to tip the balance of power in the goose favor. With more players in the game, the chance of getting randomly murdered before you use your ability is more or less lower.
Using the Vigilante is about patience.

is it possible to have an the old dial up sound when resetting the computer.. just thinking about it puts me in PTSD mode .. and the sound can be heard as a "visual" tasks.. LOL

So some ideas from me and some of my regular players, a discussion overtime button. Once per player per game they could hit "Overtime" to extend the timer on discussion/voting. 2nd Idea. Allowing to Save game settings and switch between your presets.
I think we can make a politician role to gamify it a bit. If they are alive they can "overtime" the voting.
I will have to look in how easy presets would be. Shouldn't be impossible but it would be later end of the feature list if I am being honest.

Personally I agree I think we can do so much more with the achievement system and custom roles are going to be a big part of it. Another one would be morphing and you get an achievement for killing the player you morphed into or something like that

Unfortunately the internet is a dangerous place for kids and we need to make sure that public games offer a safe space for people under the age of 18. Because of this we won't be introducing voice chat in public games. If players congregate and build their own private communities they can govern who they play with.
This is so important for us, especially a free to play game.

This will likely not happen. We want to put some cosmetics behind a paywall. Being 100% transparent, it is the only way we would be able to afford to make the entire game free and pay for voice chat hosting.

Unfortunately pets and hats will always cost gold; sometimes they may be crafted with materials that you earn while playing.

Would allowing sabotages while moving be an option? It feels super clunky to have to idle while calling a sabotage.

^^ We did have this and it made it way too powerful for the ducks.
We decided to take it out for now to see how the game is balanced. This forces the duck to strategically call sabotages at opportune moments.

Without this in new player games its just sabotage after sabotage without reprecussion. It really slows down the game and makes it feel more like a panic simulator.

Maybe add a adjustable timer of some sort to the classic maps some sort of ship crashing event that can't be fixed? I've noticed with bigger groups the games can sometime last a lot longer and although I know you are adding something for ghosts to do, I feel it would force the ducks to kill or Geese to do their tasks. In this case no one would win.

kind of like that, just forces ghosts and geese to do tasks and ducks to kill. Sometimes when i'm in big games and get killed first i'm sitting there for 20 minutes or so while everyone blames each other while i'm shouting at the screen it was them!

MVG for a group that plays together after say 10 games everyone could vote for 1 player from the group as Most Valuable Goose. They could then get a crown(or some other cosmetic type thing) that would last for like 2 games if they keep playing, it gets removed after or if they leave the game.
Goose Father maybe separate or could be tied to last idea, but the Goose Father can select 1role or select one other goose to have the bounty placed on them.
We can definitely make more dangerous ducks. We have plans for a ninja duck that can do quite a bit more damage than a regular one.
Cool! Although it generally leaves people feeling like they have no chance of being a Duck, I enjoy 16 player 1 Duck rounds because it really rubs in the whole "trust no-one" with a bigger crew and only one murderer to try and get rid of. A more dangerous Duck makes it more tense for both parties.
Also, Morphing Duck is awesome.

Yes there is definitely a way to do this. It's a little more expensive on CPU so we want to make sure we get the game as optimized as possible before doing this.

Map size matters quite a lot. Bigger does not equal better.
This is definitely something that threw me off when I was playing and did end up getting me caught really early on, since you can move with your map but not the sabotages.
^^^ Moving with sabotage open is terribly overpowered.
Personally, I feel like sabotages should be used strategically rather than literally on-the-run.

Would it be plausible to allocate an additional task area for each sabotage and have it randomly selected each game? It kind of makes it a little easy to focus on people who go to the singular task that corresponds to lights/reactor/etc.
One idea I had was a 'shirt' outfit that was the goose holding/riding one of those sticks with the plush horse head. Would go well with the skull helmet to do a whole death on a pale horse theme.

In a 3 person voting screen where there's a dodo alive, the dodo has the power.. if they're a known dodo. They can cause a 3 way tie (usually a duck win) or they can choose to vote either side. So they are basically in control of who wins.

This was the motivation behind my idea of the dodo having the option to āpick upā a rubber duck to join the duck team if they so choose to become a hidden duck. Whether they disclose this or not to anyone is up to them

Environmental kills that can be used by geese or ducks (so geese could kill a duck without knowing) potentially needing 2 people to lower chance of trolls
Possible idea -- to discourage grouping in final moments, how about more than 2 people with tasks completed stay in the same area/stand still then one of their tasks breaks and they need to re-do it or if task-completed camp the cameras for longer than XX seconds then a random task from any goosey/duck player (dead or alive) breaks.....

We are trying to understand if it would make the game better
Once you get down to 3 geese and 1 duck, it can often become very hard to win as a duck if one or more of the geese have tasks fully completed as a general rule, because clumping becomes a common thing unless a gentlemen's agreement is in place to not clump up. Even a pairing of ducks can make it incredibly difficult, since 1 kill and the two who were together know the only surviving person is the duck.
maybe as an advanced mode option? Our crew are often making a conscious decision to not camp or group to "give the ducks a chance" so we just wander around the map leaving people alone. if there was some kind of refresh timer that started XXsecs/Xmins after completed list, then we would be required by game play not to group when tasks are "done". some players are just sitting in cargo self selecting for enviro kill because they are "done with tasks."..
an option would be good, since I can see groups who wouldn't want that
I don't personally have issues with grouping as I think careful Duck play can work around it a lot of times
But I do notice that some less experienced ducks have issues with it
I think part of what makes this game good is that ducks have to be deceptive and learning to gain trust of the geese for the final votes if you're in a 1v3/4 situation is something people will learn.
Killing well is important but the social deception to me is ultimately what drives the fun

Absolutely groups can be picked off - i'm thinking of another layer for months down the track, when you're incredibly familiar with how your fellow feathered friends

I don't think having timed games is the solution.
I agree games can slow to a halt at the end though, especially if one person is holding tasks
or they are newer to the game and are figuring tasks out for the first time
or newer to gaming in general
Yeah, people you play with definitely have tells and whatnot but switching up playstyles and double mind gaming exist as well. It kind of becomes a matter of actually reading other players

I mean, I think you could achieve something close but if people were truly tryhard I don't think it would be plausible but I'm down to see it happen
my social group doesn't play in tryhard-super-sweat mode, but still end up in 1v3 scenarios that will be very difficult to win unless the 3 make really bad choices due to inebriation/tiredness/etc if even one of them has their tasks fully completed. Even sabotages can't break that up all the time.

Nothing wrong with the ability to make the 'fart' noise during gameplay, but is it possible to have the ability for the host to turn them off.
Because even though it can be fun at times, it can turn off potential new players and become annoying and obnoxious.

Since Discord seems to be such an integral part of creating private lobbies is there any research being done into how to make the game connected to Discord where people can post a link to Discord and if they have their game account connected it'll automatically join the lobby linked?
We are going to try to integrate friends lists in the game at some point. The entire process should be removed from discord at some point.
New setting to let the person who reported have the first 10 seconds of any meeting to explain where the body was and any sus. Everyone else should be muted so they have a higher chance of listening.

There's an option in lobby to hide codes for streamers but when you're inputting it in the find games there isn't an option there, right? Seems like it might be useful to have some way to hide the code there.

Maybe like a ... speech bubble indicating you're typing?

@rain karma we actually had this and it was driving people literally mad. You can't know who is talking to you or the context of multiple conversations happening independently of one another all at once

Yeah we get the feeling too. We turned it on and it was NOISY and headache enducing. Even with proximity as ghosts go over walls.
We are always looking into ways of doing it. We can visit this in the future for sure.
This is a bit of a weird one but I was just looking at all of the socials for gaggle and noticed they are all smaller than the twitch which means that the twitch drops are working. I was wondering if you guys have looked into doing some sort of integration for following the other socials of the game. Something like if you follow us on Twitter for a Twitter skin or reddit for a reddit skin just to beef up the socials a bit. I know that this integration is possible as I've seen websites like gleam verify you follow someone for giveaway entries just don't know how feasible or easy this is.
It's definitely possible but we're a small team and we're focused on content right now.
These things slow down studios and distract from what was really important in the first place; making great games and content.

@ivory plaza I a really cool idea for this game would be to have a drop down menu of daily tasks or missions that you can complete to earn extra silver and then once you complete the 3 side missions for the silver a 4th slot opens up to earn 1 gold coin for the day so that it keeps the grind going! Also this game is damn good lol
Also a really cool kill animation that you could add is using the samurai sword the duck slices or dices the goose up or in quote "cut his head off"
Perhaps add a button when folks click "quit application" that says "Are you sure?" with a "Yes or No" button beneath it.

I had a pretty awesome game the other night where I lucked out in that the kill I made with people watching was against the vigilante, and passed it off as me being the vigilante and accidentally tapping the button on my keyboard
medium being able to see that would have killed that play

@hazy pivot Hey Shawn, i don't know if this came across the table but death comms., like in Call of Duty. When you kill you can hear the last 3 to 4 secs before they go off to goose heaven LMBO

No i mean only the player that kils can hear the player that got killed. is what i mean. SO if i killed someone in game only the i would be the only person to hear what was said after the killed within that time frame.
Asides from some lols, what purpose would hearing them give to game play?

They can spoil a game with this knowledge
