I was thinking from a game design setting. Like, if i was going to design a map in say, unity, how to scale it lol
I'd measure the width of a goose based on its average height then use that to calculate the typical width of a hallway from maps already in the game then you can get an idea of how to scale it
I really need to stop trying to start new projects before finishign what i'm already doing XD

also, Lights affects the whole center area (Audience included), not just the stage and hallways
The only problem I see with the light drops is it seems to cut off the stage entirely. I know the chandelier blocks an entire route, but I don't see the alternate paths on this map.

Maybe a “Dream World” of idea where unused ideas go to.
Like a weird collage of ideas jammed together that isn’t good enough to be a full map but shouldn’t be thrown away. Maybe the gimmick to this Dream Map is that the “rooms” shuffle around each meeting or the room’s theme changes every two minutes.
That's a neat concept, but the execution sounds like it would be a nightmare, especially on mobile

Should do a moon or other planet style map. I don't have any specific ideas, but i think it would be cool. Or maybe a map with a day and night cycle every other meeting or so and add a different style sabotage in place of light sabotage.

Not sure if it would have any theme but it would be cool if everyone was really tiny and the entire map was the inside of a goose. Not sure if the room structure of a goose would be too linear but there's definitely room for some cool gimmicks
%suggestion a pirate ship map, with its own special roles and a tie condition that puts them in a brig, which has a button in a room somewhere that can eject them into the ocean or somethin. it was an idea my group thought of while playin. the brig part is mine i can take it or leave it

legally distinct cental park with some apartments to go up. it is split in two sections. and the sabotages are all human activity, like a bike running over people, or a protest blocking the entrance to somewhere.

Map idea : a "MAZE" like the one in (Harry Potter and the goblet of fire), geese compit to reach the prize in center, while ducks chasing them inside & sabotaging the maze

I am not sure if this was brought up before, but what about a Submarine map.
And as ducks you could flood rooms, it would fill slowly so if you were in the room your movement speed would go down and then the geese would have to repair a pipe

The upcoming Basement map has two sneaky kill locations that cause the body to disappear and cannot be reported
Not a comprehensive map concept but I think a map with doors that automatically cycle between being opened and closed would be interesting, kind of giving an illusion of shifting passages or only allowing certain parts of intersections to be open at a time
could also be annoying trying to do tasks lol
It probably would be more forgiving than a door sabo, not locking people out of where they have to go, just causes everyone to change their plans and reroute where to go

Why isnt there an actual ocean / submarine map? like swans swim , ducks swim. makes sense. Ayo imagine a giant angler fish eating someone as for kill scene. and for a task you could do stuff like feed the fishies or look at cameras outside what sea animals there are.
We already feed the fishies on Nexus Colony. And usually it's a bloodbath @mint apex

(Modern map setting) Maybe set in a pizzeria with arcade games. Have to blow out candles in the party room for the first part of the task and open a present for second part. The nametag on the present always says Happy Birthday Xizta, but you get to open his presents.
And a Duck sabo is to activate animatronic birds that kill anyone near the stage. Totally not inspired by any other franchises.

Ima be honest, locking gamemodes behind an EXP system were you lose XP if you lose a game doesn't sit right with me...
like, why would you do that? to get ppl to not play the gamemodes?
Also that encourages ppl to be sweaty 24/7. i'd understand if there was a dedicated "Ranked" mode, but having a decreasable EXP system be so central to the core of a Social game doesn't feel like it would make playing the game fun

This may have been brought up before. Since The Basement is the basement under Mallord Manor, what about a Sewer system map for the sewers under Goose Chapel?
well there was 3 space maps, with the basement that is 3 ducktorian maps, don't know if they are going to go over 3 per theme or not

ive had this idea of a forest map, im trying to think of ways people could die, what ive got so far is slender man attack, falling on a spike trap, caught in a leg trap, (there would be a ritual spot in the map) they would be pulled into hell trap, and a bear attack
You could have a tree trap, where it falls over and smushes anyone underneath. It also blocks off a critical path, similar to the chandelier.

Sabatoges: Fire: you get it from a campfire its sets a cabin and a berry patch on fire. Door close sabatoge: 1 or 2 pick which ever: 1 you get it from an axe in a tree to make trees fall down to block pathes, 2 you get it from a ritual site in the map where it makes glowing purple walls that block you in places. Foggy: its makes everything foggy you get from a tv in cabin thats talking about the weather.
would it be better at a water pump or a well well
Maybe there's a well where you poison the water (easier access), and the geese have to go to a water pump to fix it (easier troubleshooting)
you get the poison from the berry patch where you get poisonous berries

You could call it the Chomping Willow
that was the theme i was going for, foresty horror
nothings quite set in stone, but there are a few themes in the 80s horror genre i see that could coexist well on the same map
and a bit of a forested area matches my conception of the summer camp as well
we could always move fishing to a dock on far left or right side for camp lake side approach
duck could move around in bushes that some connect and some don’t so the snoop or mechanic can move around aswell
maybe use both the "fog" mechanics from JT map and normal vents system

The bushes would be more of a snoop hiding spot. Dark paths are thematic, though.
Snoop and misty paths would be interesting, but also feels a touch excessive.

You can check in #📁︱templates-resources , but I think it's generally 7 main rooms with corridors connecting.

I think it would be really cool in the basement if when they're thrown out, they either are pushed into a dungeon where a dragon wakes up and breathes fire on them and they're turned into ashes, or they get thrown into a furnace. I also think it would be cool if there was a dungeon for voting ties. ❤

Call the map Gold Rush or Forty Nine or something like that. This is almost a different game mode.
All tasks are the “find that treasure” task from Jungle, except the art is changed to gold nuggets and you’re panning. To reward geese for the monotony, Gold Rush would give a larger bonus than other maps for completing tasks. Perhaps all the Geese are Gravy goose.
You always spawn in the same spot, and the entire map is just a large, large outdoor area.
Clairvoyance would be an interesting sabotage in this case. “Lights” would be called Sunset. And maybe a sabo called “heat stroke” where you have to find water or else you move at half speed until the next meeting.
Maybe hills that obscure vision, but you can still walk over them.

if heat stroke does not than it's not a good idea, seeing as it makes ducks confirmable
and that's not the point of the game
It could always be a map unique to a new game type. Everyone is a prospector, and first to 10 gold or some arbitrary number wins. Maybe everyone has a "shove" button which "kills" another player but they get up after 15 second, similar to ToT's pitchfork.

Ok. Hmm. More random thoughts about how heat stroke could still be possible without confirming the ducks:
- The ducks simply say they found water quickly. OR
- Maybe heat stroke doesn’t make geese move at half speed - maybe it inverts the movement controls as if to be confused and dazed. So people appear to move at the same pace, but it’s harder for geese to control. That could be fun.
Inverted controls are hard to implement because of mobile

I know this might be silly, but on the maps that are based on spacecraft (Mother Goose, Black Swan, Nexus Colony) but would there be able to be a sabotage added where the gravity turns off temporarily? It'd probably be kind of difficult to fix it unless it was on a timer?
I'm trying to picture how that would affect everyone in the sense of the game
It would cause everyone to start floating around, bouncing off walls, slowly. It would slow down task completions by the geese, some killing roles might get lucky and bounce into someone before killing them.
It wouldn't be a game ender, it could be timed to end (grav system resets after a certain time) or reset if a body/meeting is called

thinking about a Boat/Yacth(idk the spelling) based Map ,The eject will be thrown in the water with a Lifevest ,
one of the sabotage basically gets a leak in the Ship where they have to find planks to BLock it off,Similar to feeding IN Jungle map
Adding to the boat idea, another sabotage could be similar to the dropped bell in the basement where a shark is circling the boat and you have to sacrifice someone to the shark
To stop it, you have to find the Shark Repellant?

How about a fun house? There floors slide to side in one of the rooms, a long hallway with many doors transport to to another random door, a maze that changes every time a meeting takes place and maybe a room full of mirrors that look like other ducks / gooses from the other side of the mirror to confuse players.

Could one way gates be an interesting gimmick for a map? I know the teleporter on Nexus is kind of like that but I feel like it could be some interesting implications to design maps with those in mind.

I'll throw in an idea for a pirate ship: Some sort of sabotage that forces the boat to rock to one side, sliding everything to one side of the boat. Maybe anyone standing too close to the edge could get tossed overboard

I have actually been spending a couple of months drawing up an island/ship map to share. I was getting stuck on different tasks... but this is such a fun idea!

Moonscape
Takes place on a moon and/or inside a moon station.
Ejection animation could be the bird voted out loaded into a cannon and fired into space or hit with a laser, causing them to explode into bits.
Tasks can include: Collecting rock samples and depositing them into an analyzer, cleaning/fixing a moon rover, cleaning windows, repairing damage from meteor showers, electrical wires, among others.
Sabotages can include: Shutting off life support, lights, locking doors, or calling in a meteor shower or asteroid that would have to be destroyed via laser cannon. The more it's destroyed, the less damage needs to be fixed afterwards. Failure to do so would result in the meteor shower or asteroid hitting the area and wipe everyone out. Thing is the remnants when falling could kill unlucky players if they don't move out of the way. Including ducks. The incoming rock would have a shadow that gets larger as it gets closer.

The geese do die from the pigeon. Several years later after they all suffer complications from Bird Flu or something.
But here's the thing: what is there to stop the pigeon from easily winning once all the ducks are dead? The geese won't have any reason to call a meeting if there are no bodies.

Tasks include: Reviving an NPC bird (defibrillator), wires, sanitizing medical equipment, surgery, repairing comms, cremate a corpse, others that may fit the map.
Sabotages may include: Turning off lights, setting fires, locking doors, stopping oxygen from being pumped in, maybe others?
Tied votes for players (except politician) will get the players thrown into a padded room.
New kill animations could include: Using a defibrillator to electrocute someone, using scapels as throwing knives, throwing someone into the cremation furnace, and presenting a hospital bill to the player to cause them to have a heart attack.
There could be a lab coat, surgical, nurse, and hospital gown outfit as part of the map update or as a new pack. Background NPCs would be present as well.

This part of the map will include a special kill animation.
Because for some reason someone thought it was a good idea to put acid in the duck tank(and yes that is a pun) so to kill cool down will result in a duck pushing a goose or neutral roll inside the acid pool. There's also something special with the pick a duck game. Just like what a lot of carnivals when you play this game and managed to pick a duck that has a number on it you will receive a prize (crafting materials) the number you get and color you get depends on how much crafting material and what rarity it is. Common materials will always have a number of giving you 1-6 materials in total, rare has a chance of giving you 1-3, an epic is always just one. The materials were very on the theme of the map.
And also is it okay if anyone sees this can give me their opinion of this map so far I'm pretty bad at drawing and I usually like my stuff to be as best as I can so they take quite a bit of time.
