I just put 2-and-2 together today. Sasha is a concept artist with Singularity 6 and has had to step away for a bit after she had to flee the bombing in Kiev (her hometown). Sasha was the very talented artist who drew Eshe live on the twitch stream pretty early on in the discord community. My heart and prayers go out to her and her family. I can't imagine how hard this time must be for them. ❤️ ❤️

I mean, just because it's 1000+ game doesn't mean it'll be "grindy". My 1000+ games are Rust, Sims 4, Guild Wars 2, Animal Crossing. I wouldn't say Sims, AC, or GW2 are grindy. I just enjoy exploring and playing on my pace.

yes, they are looking into several accessibility features, but testing doesn't have many of these yet. They haven't detailed which ones they will have apart from colour blindness.

I had a dream that alpha was semi-open, but you had to go to a stream of some of the devs playing Halo or smth and interact with a bot in chat? And if you did it right and within the like 24 hours of the stream, you'd get an invite key

I play everything, basically.
Never really liked the repetitiveness of online shooters, though I did play Counter Strike for a while when it came out, but single player, Halo? Definitely ☺️
Also a lot of strategy games, from c&c to things like Master of Orion.
Currently playing a lot of GTA online, which is quite combat focused.🤔
I'm also a big fan of the Tomb Raider reboot, which has a ton of combat.
Still, not looking for combat in this game, I never found combat and online play to work out for me 🤷‍♂️

With PS5 being the latest device for Sony I would suspect that any version of Palia would likely be based on that but it all depends on their thoughts and decisions.

They haven't said either way yet. But I see you have put a suggestion in about it .. so thats a first step to get them to see the interest. Hopefully there will be enough people thumbs upping it to help them consider it at least.

Hope so, at this point, most games work great with little effort through proton and most anticheats have an option to enable support for proton at a press of a button.

And if Palia's being made with OpenGL or Vulkan, the rendering part should work out of the box on Linux without the need of Proton.

Asherelle is new to the community team and since she came on board she has been sprinkling imagery here and there almost on a daily basis, either here or on twitter. During Pre-Alpha we got a regular weekly spot for vote/reveal situations and a few of us have asked for those back, but they do take time to prepare for. Whether Asherelle will do that or something else, alongside their other community work is hard to say, but I am sure once she has fully settled in things will have a more consistent flow to information release. But, they usually only release info what they have practically nailed into the game. They want us to still be surprised when the full game is released, hence most of the artwork being older concept work rather than this is what we have now - apart from the odd in game clip.

We haven't got a precise release date but an estimated time frame of 2 and a half years - no selling platform has been released yet, so can't answer that question yet. Alpha testing is undergoing at the moment with more tests coming throughout the year.

General at the moment, I'm currently working on armor repair for full steel combat, but will move on to actual hot steel working soon. Already got forge and anvil purchased and set up.

So, repair if leather, and steel first, then onto general blacksmith work, then onto armorer.

In which case will there be a chapter telling the story of the grimalkin's arrival on Palia. So far it looks like they may be a visitor of some sorts with the Majiri the indigenous people. The scope the story can go is expansive. It all depends on what they end up doing.

I'll agree humans are plain in other mmo's, but that's because they have no lore or flavor to them. At least this time, humans are the sole focus and made to have mystery. I for one am glad we won't have tall ass elves moonwalking and cat people of 45 different breeds joining forces with 100 mini hulks while these ancient gold hoarding little gremlins steal loot from other players having scales and horns

Agreeing with this, was actually kind of nice to not have 12 different 'races/species' to have to choose from. Humans can be boring in other games, tossed in as a 'baseline' race most of the time it seems, but they actually seem interesting in what Palia lore we've been given a sneak peek to.
And this is coming from someone who is a big khajiiti furstock fan...

I think wolf spiders are the only ones that I don't mind, they don't make messy webs and aren't venomous, I usually do a catch and release if I find one in the house since there tends to be plenty of food for them in the garden which keeps the plants safe too ha

combat (especially pvp) actually tend to turn me away from mmos now (at least my single player stuff has a pause button) because I afk so much and get tired of coming back to dead characters

Yep, sounds like they are trying to make alot of things optional .. and they did mention zones in one of the team answer entries .. so maybe there will be some sort of zone that has the combat side of things.
