:one: Respect and kindness above all.
All messages should be courteous and done in good faith with respect and kindness above all in mind. You are participating in the company of others on the official game server, and as such, it is also important to understand boundaries. Remember, sometimes it's hard to read tone/intent in just text!
Examples Can Include: Name calling, targeted behavior, hate speech and derogatory terms (even as a joke), dismissing other users' opinions.
:two: Stay constructive.
It is perfectly acceptable to voice your opinions and criticisms of the game, but commentary should be constructive and otherwise on-topic. We have no tolerance for messages that insult, harass, or otherwise target other individuals, groups, or the devs. Discuss the idea, not each other. "Name-and-shame" and acts of "witch-hunting" are also against the rules and such posts will be removed.
Examples Can Include: Insulting S6 devs or others involved in conversation, calling out a user based on their behavior in-game or in the server, advocating people to report a specific user both in-game and in the server.
:three: Stay Family-Friendly & No NSFW Content Allowed
This also extends to inappropriate or offensive usernames, statuses, profile pictures and server tags. You may be asked to change these, or the mod team will take moderation action such as changing your display name or revoking access from the server. Furthermore, please understand the minimum age to use Discord, as outlined in the Terms of Service, is thirteen years of age. Please be respectful of what you post given the potential audience of the members in this server.
Examples Can Include: Swearing and circumventing profanity filters, sexual or explicit remarks and imagery, graphic violence or discussing harm, inappropriate dark humor, mention of drugs (both prescription/medical & recreational/illicit), and things in your profile (bios, pfp, tag) that violate Discord TOS.
:four: No AI-generated content allowed.
Any media (including but not limited to: text, images, GIFs, videos, or audio) that is generated by AI is prohibited within the server. When it comes to written content, we understand that some tools help users with translation or accessibility needs, and as such we will moderate this content with more discretion; however, AI-generated written fanart is strictly prohibited. If you are someone who is dependent on such tools for translation or accessibility needs, please reach out to the moderation team to let us know before posting.
:five: Respect Boundaries
Keep your personal information private, and do not request the personal information of others in public channels, nor by redirecting users to share via DMs. Flashing imagery of more than 2 flashes per second are banned due to safety concerns; even spoilered, the flashing remains visible and animated on some clients. Please respect people's accessibility concerns.
Examples Can Include: Asking for or offering personal identifiable information, posting a flashing gif and/or emote, posting selfies (including censored selfies) or other photos which may easily identify you.
:six: Contribute to the Conversation
As the official server, we want discussions to be centered around Palia. Please use designated channels for appropriate topics where possible.
Off-topic and irrelevant posts will be subject to removal at moderation discretion. This includes but is not limited to: excessive spamming, politics, religion, public and personal drama, heavy venting and trauma-dumping, emoji-heavy posts, abusing bot commands, etc.
