I think it is helpful to keep in mind that not every question will be answered by the devs - there are a lot of things they DONT want to tell us yet so we can just experience them in game when we get to play. ALSO there is a lot of stuff that isn't completely ironed out because they are getting ready for Pre-Alpha - which comes before beta or early access... They may have an answer for you but may not answer because it could change once they have feedback from the Pre-Alpha testers - or just want it to be a surprise for you!

Character aging is a GREAT question actually - I'd encourage you to ask tomorrow when Nel is compiling questions! As for alchemy, we don't know yet. The only confirmed skills are hunting, woodcutting, mining, and fishing. Don't forget to add the suggestion to #game-suggestions because I'd also love to see alchemy and other crafting professions in the future!

It would make sense if you could turn on a feature that toggles character aging. I mean, Einar is over 3000 years old, why shouldn't we be able to age too? Anyways, for it to be implemented, the devs would have to agree that it could be added, and enough players would have to support the idea, but I think a toggleable aging feature would be cool.

Yes, the Sims has a staggered age set which progress over time. But you can also just turn it all off

Honestly aging in games is difficult, especially in an MMO. Theres many things to consider on the technical side and the playability side. Aging is great in games like Sims 4, cause it fits so well. On the technical side, it's a multiplayer game. The servers would have to keep up with a TON of player data and spit it out each time anyone logs in. But it also has to determine how your character looks at that specific stage, dynamic changing, and most of all server wide sync so everyone won't see you different,including yourself. Sorry this is so long lol

That's fine, it would be fine if it was toggleable. If it only affected Appearance like Mindsurfer said, it wouldn't be as much of a problem. But like @neon vortex said, an age slider would be better (if it's at character creation) for the servers and playability of the game. It's annoying when you have a really cool idea for a game, but it's just extremely hard to implement.

Minor’s signatures technically aren’t legally binding, but actions can be enforced if the contract is written correctly.
