While I'd love to get into a discussion about what is typical for non-disclosure and how much it probably changes between industries and situations (and I'm not being sarcastic, I think it would be an interesting discussion), I'm just not going to because I'm really not in a position to talk about the contents of the NDA at all and we spend a lot of time on here dodging certain things and phrasing things certain ways to avoid tripping up. Would be a good discussion. I think its hilarious that people act like NDAs are legally binding. I've never seen one acted on by any company, and I work in a sector that uses them. They just don't hold up in court and everyone knows it. An NDA is a threat. Companies that are open and care about their communities don't use them.

I think this NDA is in place to help keep the mystery and surprise of the game alive. So people can have genuine first impressions of the game 🙂 and the alpha testers are following it so strictly bc the devs are great people and we want to show them respect ♥️

I disagree. I find that in this instance S6 has been transparent about their request for non disclosure and it is only fair that they invite those who agree with their fair request. Being legally binding has nothing to do with it. In a larger scope, we live in a society which only works because we can agree on common rules and treat eachother fairly. You shouldn't feel under threat to be able to come to an understanding (written or not) with another party

It makes sense to skip mac release though. The vast majority of desktop gamers are on windows, and the other major market is mobile. But really only S6 knows if it'd be worth it to do a mac version.

Also when you say this, I'm thinking of GW2 where you can see people's achievement points or when they've completed the entirety of the world, they get a slightly more distinctive sort of "badge" next to their name. But I can't see that fitting in Palia's case

We are really excited for things like emotes, titles, etc.
