It would justify the price point a bit more while also offering a lot more versatility. I know some people wanted the Hero outfit because of the hair in the female version, but didn't like the top part. Just give players more options.

It looks like you can work on the dailies to get the Lunar XP to unlock the treasure chests. The bundles award a significant amount of XP which can fill out that bar completely upon completion; the last treasure chest will award the string lights recipes as well once opened!

Yes, it's dailies and bundles for this patch. as Celosia mentioned, it'll be the next patch when more ways to get Lunar XP get introduced to us. The dailies are worth 100xp a piece right now during the 12 Nights event, so that's 200xp per day from dailies only 😄

Anyone noticing issue with star quality petit fives? I always get normal quality petit fives even though I check that box "use only star quality ingredients" and this already took away for 9 petit fives. Other dishes cook normally

That box doesn't guarantee a starred dish; ultimately it's RNG based on star quality dishes or not. Speed, correctness of steps, and quality of ingredients all play factors. Cooking with others may help speed up the process, which can help increase the chance for a star quality item. I personally did not encounter any issuesd with solo cooking, but others have reported on and off having trouble getting star quality item for the Petit Five

Hey, dear Palia community, I somehow forgot which channel to use to leave tips and requests for the developers. Just now, at Christmas, I realized that although it is (almost) an international holiday, it is actually limited to Christians. There is so much to celebrate within a year! How about including other festivals or holidays? What about Buddha or Confucius? What about Mohammed, the founder of Islam? The great Indian deities? The Jewish Passover? The pagan Ostara festival? These could be turned into such wonderful events, it would be really great and might even give younger players some general knowledge, if not promote social skills. 😉

i can see your point however the winterlights holiday isnt linked to Christians at all. The winterlights is about running around and lighting your candle with others to bring out the joy so to speak. Nothing about the religion

It would be nice to see other holidays sure, but I can also see why they'd probably avoid implementing holidays/festivals directly pulled from real life cultures and such since it might seem as a form of "cultural appropriation" and the potential of not representing the culture/religion adequately. As well as for lore reasons. Sure it "lands" on Christmas just like Spiritfest lands on Halloween.

Right now we have (one new and three every year so far)

• spirit fest for fall and remembrance generally (Halloween, Samhain, Dia de Los muertos)
• there were quests for harvest and feasting for the first time this year
• winterlights for Christmas and solstice (Christmas trees are there but guarding/sharing light is a major theme)
• Luna moon for the lunar new year celebrations

Winterlights is pretty detached from the actual Christian Christmas imo and sort of fits into the lore of the game itself. Same with the LNY which takes inspiration from the Chinese Lunar Year.

However, there is no reason not to celebrate an explicit summer festival in Palia. There simply isn't one, apart from the holidays of actual existing religions (which I don't understand). Unfortunately, the festivals in Palia always coincide with real-world festivals, including Halloween. If you (i.e., S6) want to create your own culture, then you should also celebrate your own festivals. At the moment, it seems to me that there are only the Maji festivals, which happen to fall on (or around) Christian holidays. Are there any others? I haven't noticed any so far. That's a shame.

Pulling from a lot of other cultures and holidays, as nice as it would be, could also be really messy as a whole. Not just completely for lore reasons, but for, as Palcat mentioned, possible "cultural appropriation". There's already, imo, outfits that already breach that... so adding holidays, etc, from others... it would get really tricky.

Winterlights, yes, does fall on the Christmas holiday, but I think that one is moreso inspired overall with that. Especially since it's about lighting a candle from others and stuff, too. It just has a bit of things mixed in, to make it more "winter" as a whole, and not just focusing on one in particular. Like, I don't really view it as "christmas" as more just... celebrating a winter season.

Yep, exactly. The Winterlights event feels more like a "celebration of winter", which is funny to me considering it's summer for me. I don't feel like it's limited or even aimed at Christians remotely at all. But in my opinion, adding holidays that directly pull from specific cultures or holidays, could feel like it is limited or aimed at those cultures as well.

Yes, they probably originate from several regions. In Europe, the tree has pagan roots and symbolizes renewal, not gifts. And of course, New Year's celebrations do not stem from the birth of Jesus, who simply did not exist at that time. Nevertheless, I find it somewhat trivial and too close to the real world. So, if you're going to do it, do it right or don't do it at all. 🙂

Yep, same here! I mean, we surely have taken a lot of the "northern Christmas" traditions, like drinking chocolate and such.

I just find that the whole "do it right or not do it at all" is a tad extremist. It'd be neat they added some more Holidays, but rather ones that would expand more on the Maji culture as a whole. Of course there is going to be overlap with real life holidays to some degree due to well, devs likely taking inspiration. Christmas and Halloween are just the "biggest" holidays (not to mention some of the most commercial ones).

(Just replying so info is in context, there isnt an actual answer yet) Shared housing was first shown (not game play but trailer type footage) in the first palia path video, it hasn't gotten more than "we're still working on stuff we previously mentioned" since then so we dont know if its a change to current plots to work better with friends decorating, joining a community neighborhood so that social feature does a bit more, actually aharing a plot with a group any could access and editing regardless of who is online, or something else.

We don't know how much more its adding to current cooking, gardening, ranching, crafting, and decorating together functions. It could just be a show plot to decorate together with no additional skill co-op features.

A tree reaches maturity once it gives you a seed back. If your tree(s) haven't given you a seed back yet, they are not fully mature. The title of your tree will also say "mature" if you were to pick it up into your inventory, so this could be helpful to see where it's at in its growth.

Yeah when it happens it seems to have both bugs where the chapaas don't come out via countdown as well as not being able to catch them. It sucks because there really isn't any point in going to Maji Market if it is broken half the time.

If you use the standalone launcher from Palia.com, you should be able to log in with either account unless the account linked to your Steam is not fully upgraded so that you can log in on the standalone launcher. But that's easy to fix. Of course, do whatever's best for you if space isn't an issue.

Personally i also do this, because i use one account for the vast majority of my playtime (the steam one) and one account once in a while for fanfic purposes (the launcher one i have to log into)
At first, i uninstalled the steam one and downloaded the launcher, but its a bit annoying for me personally to rememver and type out the right email address every time

Ultimately people should do what works best for them, but they said that having both was "a nightmare" which made me curious about why they chose to do it that way. There's also a surprising number of people who skip account linking when they start playing on Steam and don't realize they can still upgrade to a fully linked account and then login to that on the standalone. Can someone explain to me how you can cook a meal using all starred ingredients resulting in all starred dishes, without making any mistakes, with over a minute-and-a-half to spare and the result is a non-starred dish?

If your focus bar is empty or really low this can also affect the outcome I’ve found. Don’t know if this helps 🤷‍♀️

Cooking with all starred ingredients, fast cooking times, and doing everything 100% correct does help increase chances of your dishes coming out as starred, however cooking is RNG based as well so you still may have some dishes come out unstarred as a result.

Honestly yes. Ever since the last patch or so, it feels like fishing dailies have been increasingly pushed and it irks me specially since they decided to cap the rerolls at 10, and because fishing is one of the most unfriendly skills in terms of accessibility.

Like yeah there's the two workarounds thankfully, but if you've not caught those fish before, gg.

My dailies are almost always at least 1 fishing item, and some days I get 2. And since I don't have my spare rerolls anymore.... Lol!

• visibility settings for bobbers and fish

I suppose boovars and fishing mystery bags help get around fishing but they require ranching skill progress thats notorious for its visual triggers or by story progression (followed by seriously heavy grinding) that needs all skills plus the temple of the gales that has had folks blocked from progressing due to not being able to do the gliding

so, i've just done a feedback about this, but semi-related to the discussion earlier about the dailies being heavy on the fishing skill...does it irk anyone else that the tooltip descriptions for the fish & bugs for the EW lack any indication of which bait(s) need to be used, and what time of day the required items can be caught? i find it frustrating to have to leave the game to find information that the game should be providing natively.

This is a log cabin fence. This is a very small, and modest size fence for a medium sized building. It's very reasonable to expect someone to want to make a fence of this size, or even one considerably larger.

It took me 82 fence pieces to put together.

If I was going to do this with the Ravenwood fence, it would required that I farm over 400 iron ore.

The average medium iron ore node gives you like 4 iron ore.
You'd have to mine around 100 iron nodes to make a tiny fence like this.

The alternative being to buy iron bars, but, at 260 a piece -- that's way too expensive to spend gold on enough iron bars to make the fence. I haven't played with this decor line yet for this reason, it's so resource intensive.

If I was to just buy the iron I needed, this tiny fence would cost over 20800 gold.

Since I would actually need 100 iron bars because I can't make exactly 82. I would be 26,000.

With the new tint system, if you try to store a tinted item, it removes the tint from said item.

So, the tint system now requires you to craft the tint. Which is fine I don't mind, but if you're spending time collecting all the bugs, shells, etc for the tint -- and then you just lose the resources if you put it storage -- that doesn't seem like a good or fair use of my time as a player.

It would be better if you got the tints back, or, they broke down into their resource form again. To lose it entirely is somewhat putting me off tinting new items. I might be in the minority, but I actually quite prefer the new system to the old one, mainly for being able to actually have a bigger preview and be able to see what the tinted furniture will actually look like under lighting, next to other furniture's, etc.

But it would've been a lot more player friendly if they had simply made the mod kits under a single recipe, and still make them available for gold for those that prefer that. And some of those recipes def need balancing.

If you have any of the quests Adventure on the Horizon, Prismbeard's Lost Treasure, or The True Treasure active, Auni and Nai'o will be at a location related to that quest. You may be able to speak to either of them through the door to their private rooms or if they are at the Fairgrounds.

just bought the Zeki club and the starter pack and got my first pet, I really have an issue with the way the pets are coded though... they exactly mirror every move your character makes, instead of wandering and then following to catch up with your character, like most mmo's. Yes, I was at 500 tickets before I claimed the daily: I noticed that the number wasn't divisible by 3, thought, "that's odd," and claimed the daily to test it. Sure 'nuff, no additional tickets.

I've been doing my best! Tailor tickets were introduced in 0.195 (came out 10 September 2025, 112 days ago), so yeah. I have NO idea how many tailor tickets I've lost to going over the cap.... on two accounts, too.

For the record, buying ALL of the currently-available colors: 2,825 tickets 😅 or 471 days of dailies. So I'm less than pleased that I may have done all that and lost a bunch of tickets... I just didn't want to commit to buying colors before I could see how the CLOTHING would dye/what specific outfits would need (something they'd mentioned in one of the Palia Path roadmap videos)

Yes, definitely spend the tailor tickets if you are near the 500 or you will lose them to the void.
I lost some as well before I noticed there was a cap cuz there's no message like the others have in the description.
And the XP is a great question, seems to be just going to the void.

My bet is they don't want us to be ahead for the next path and we have to start from ground zero for XP again.

Which honestly -- they shouldn't. It should just go to the 9,999 limit like everything else. The cap on the tickets makes the dailies useless, especially after you've finished your LP.

This is also my guess. I don't think we'll be able to "store" Lunar XP because people would 100% grind XP out to "save up" for another patch and that defeats the purpose of the new system to "log in daily." Other battle passes don't work like this, so I imagine Palia will follow suit and each LP you need to grind the XP and will be unable to apply any "stored" XP to it.

Palia is a sandbox game to design your own fun. A lot of people after they finish their quest series focus on spending time with their community/friends. Hosting parties, attending events, and spending time decorating. If you're more quest driven, though, Palia may be one of those games you put down for brief periods while content is patched in.

I finished the original story in about 80 hours of gameplay (before Elderwoods was released), and have added an additional 2,000 hours of game time by just hanging and chilling with my friends and doing events, hosting parties for others, and building/designing plots.

Common parties to host are bug catching parties, hunting parties, cooking parties, etc. It can be fun to spend time with your friends and level up your skills, collect plushies, grind materials, etc.

The only 'grass' type stuff is either the ones in Kenli's office register, or the foliage you can get from the Bloom event/piksii bounce event. Those are the only ones I know of.

You can also use the cozy camp hedge sets, as that offers a way to build grassy edges/dividers. You could also get some Ivy from the city hall register and lay it on the ground -- two out of three pieces can be placed on the ground.

Since it is an epic spawn, there typically is only 1 at a time, but they respawn rather quickly once picked and despawned; usually every 10 to 20 minutes another one will spawn on the server.

There's no official information on this from S6, so if you'd like a formal answer, submitting a ticket would be the best way to get that. However, since there's no place currently in our UI that "stores" the XP and there was no notes on it at Patch 0.198, it's unlikely it "saves" to be applied at the next LP. Battlepasses, typically, do not allow you to accumlate XP to apply to next season's pass in other games as well.
