Drop rate seems to be wildly different between people (some get dozens every day, others have only gotten a couple total) and even days (none vs dozens), but bug hunting with lures and other players seems to be the most consistent just due to sheer volume of loot

Just by hunting them. If you carry on long enough I believe two piksii shmoles will pop up. Try to party up for potential double loot or just hunt with others so they will go down quicker

So long as you are under the building limit on your plot, you can place your new house down. You just have to redecorate it using furniture from your old house.

Okay, so ig I should've posted this here, but reposting:

I would like to give a criticism of the new Lunar Path system: I bought the Palia coins to unlock everything (the 3,100-odd) and it did not include any of the premium items, which are still considered separate at 1,970-odd and the option to pay to unlock the premium items is still there.

To me, this is a huge issue with the system so early on. It would be reasonable to expect that when everything is unlocked -especially when it's advertised as doing just that-, especially at that price, that would include the premium items. It says they're unlocked, but when I go into the wardrobe to try on the items or Kitsuu color pallette, it kicks me back to the Lunar Path screen and says I need to unlock them still.

Without going into details, circumstances in my life are really stressful/chaotic/etc right now that I do not have the time to devote to grinding and no-lifing a game (even my other main game, Warframe, I've played less of lately outside of the new update) so I appreciated the option to "speedrun" (aka P2W lmao) the Lunar Path content (it was also a nice way to support the devs as I rarely ever buy anything from the store outside of Holidays sales) and while I do greatly appreciate everything in it, this just kinda left me feeling a little disappointed.

(I also do not check discord often, so I'm just now seeing the part where they say to reach out to support to get things adjusted for people who bought the bigger premium pack)

Is it actually true that when you drop a lure, you only get the bugs you hit unless you’re in a party? I keep seeing this repeated in Palia spaces and I don’t believe it. I dropped 4 lures today and invited the server to join. Two players joined, but we didn’t party up. I was looking for duskwings so I was only hitting butterflies but the other players were hitting everything, which I didn’t care about. But I still got all the beetles and grasshoppers at the end even though I didn’t hit a single one. So… what’s the deal? Is this just a myth everyone believes for some reason? Has S6 ever confirmed how lures work? I know people get heated over lures but it seems to me that as long as you’re in the lure area, you get the bugs. Anyone else had similar experiences?

this is a "yes, but" situation - you only get bugs you attempted but palia is pretty generous with what it thinks you threw a bomb near and it seems(this bit is not confirmed) even more so if you're the one who placed the lure though you still will not get every bug

there is a request system in game in the social menu, but it's limited - most things they need to have acquired before, it's a set quantity for each item, and requests are limited. Trading is only for plushies, stickers, and artifacts in the underground and elderwood central stables

The icicles are designed for the new housing lines, Estate and Alchemist. Per the dev who works on housing, the harvest housing system does not have the same coding as the new housing lines (estate and alchemist). It's the same reason the ivies, etc only go on the new housing lines as well.

I don’t come to the Palia chats often, so I hope discussions is the right place for this.

I wanted to get everyone’s opinions on the new home lines—what you like about them, and or what improvements you want to see.

For me, personally, I am begging, wishing, praying for ROUND attachments and transparent windows. In addition, the old wallpapers do not fit with the new size walls and look a little wonky without wall trim like the harvest houses had.

You may find more discussion on the home lines specifically in the decor channel -- those are the resident Palia builders/decorators who would be using these components a lot there. And, fwiw, the dev who works on housing has spoken about the transparent windows. Prior coding (harvest house) treated windows as a building and not decor, the current coding of the new lines (estate and alchemist), treat windows as decor and not buildings, therefore eliminating the transparency aspect of the window. They are working on the coding of the assets, and know transparency is desired, so hopefully that comes in the future.

As always, if you'd like to share your feedback directly with the devs, that link is below. I do think the decor channel will offer you a bit more discussion-wise with other players though!

I honestly like the modular system and I think it should've been the way to go from the beginning, but yeah it definitely still needs some tuning.

Regarding the transparent windows, I know one of the S6's devs (Seth) provided an explanation, so it seems they will sadly take a while longer to be implemented. I do wish they'd give us some windows similar to those of Tamala's home but I guess we'll have to wait.

I have a small community and play on European servers, and i want to offer more languages so i was wondering which languages are most spoken on European servers - I know some people from Southeast Asia play on EU too for example 🙂

I'm not sure if there is a way to track this, and I don't know how helpful my insight could be, but as someone that ocassionally plays on EU servers with friends and from just overall interactions with this server, I'd say I've most commonly seen French, Spanish and Italian or Portuguese.

Yes, this is going to be a permanent thing. The whole Lunar path is permanent and you can earn the kilima coins each month.

Now that I have played with the Lunar path here are my thoughts.

Because the hat has the added functionality if being floppy i understand why it was not free, but the sweater and glider should have been free. Like the refer friends rewards. And the console linking rewards. They are similar items, that were gainable without extra finances

The design of them dont feel worth it for palcoins. Now if the glider was like the eleroo glider, the wings, umbrellas, balloons, or even the broom. Then I would feel fine paying for it .

I bought an Einar sweater prior to lunar path because he is my shepp, but I honestly think 600 is too much for a sweater that doesn't even let you wear a hood. So the kitsuu sweater is also a bit disappointing.

Other than that I had no issue with the other offered paid items, and hope that hats, sweaters, onesie and generic gliders are not the standard for the lunar path.

The sweater, being an item that is just something they already had with a png pasted on top is an insane thing to not have for the free path (the fact the other variants are in the store blows my mind, its literally just a basic 'default' clothing item ur paying them 6 quid to paste a pic onto hnnng) I also feel like they COULD have let 1 of the 3 plushies be a free reward too, if someone cared enough to buy the path for the plushies, one of them being free wouldnt have stopped them wanting to buy it for the other two. I agree the hat makes sense (unlike the price of the store hats which are TOO MUCH) the glider is pretty basic but I honestly find a lot of the glider and tool skins to be super basic (not particularly a bad thing) so no thoughts on that one. More customisation for the 'default' clothing is a way they can give out clothes to people who dont want to/cant pay without having to particularly spend money to make them or worry that people wont buy items. Its essentially just a pattern for the default hoody, COME OOOON. Im someone who has the disposable income to buy the path so this isnt coming from a place of 'give me free stuff whiiinge' I just want everyone doing the path to feel like its fun/worth it

The battle pass for Palia is too expensive. I even if they justify being 8000 Palia coins I don't believe it. I had to get the 1700 and 400 Palia coins to be able to afford the pass and in USD it was $22 USD or around there.

Well, not all battlepasses give you currency back. League's, for example, doesn't. Nikki has 3 battlepasses, 2 of them are direct purchases and the other one is paid with currency but it gives it back once you "complete it".

It just seems like they're mostly banking on it being permanent (aka no FOMO) but that just also doesn't justify how little value there is for both free and paying players, but that's my opinion.

Just that when you're familiar with these systems and compare them, Palia's just doesn't quite reach the same value as the other ones.

Honestly, most of the items on it, aside from the onesie and the hat I guess, feel extremely low effort. I don't count the pet because that already existed.

Not only is it expensive but rewards you get for them is mediocre at best, in my opinion. Free version doesn’t give you anything interesting if you don’t like decorating. The t-shirt is basically same shirt you can find in wardrobe, just another painting. The wood and iron is a joke. They could have added there bunch of any of the three zeki coins or like apple seeds and I wouldn’t have been disappointed. As it stands now even doing dailies doesn’t feel worth wasting time for the progress on the path.

And even in paid version only onesies look great; doesn’t justify price point one bit.

Unfortunately, when it comes to streaming the game, it's up to the streamer to enable it or not. There's no real 'rule' against it when it comes to that. The warning in regards to not displaying names is specifically for this discord, which is different.

There is also no way to know if a streamer is on your server, or knowing if they are streaming. (Best guess, is see, i guess, if anybody on the server has TTV or YT or something similar in their name..?)

No. What you can do is bring the plush they also have + the one you want to give them; for example both of you can bring tau plushies and do 2:1 trade

You can do a 'ghost trade' with the player you want to gift a plush to. The way this works would be:

Player A is the gift giver. Player B is the receiver. Both player A and Player B put an item into the trading booth that is the same, i.e. a plushie pool (this can be crafted or purchased).

Then, player A puts in one or two items to gift Player B. Both players hit the trade button. The plushie pool is received both ways, and Player B receives the gifted plushies.

So something I discovered about the bulletin board / didn't realize: since the "final" rewards are now attached to the chests that are unlocked via both bulletin board and dailies, I was able to get the string light recipes w/o finishing the bulletin board.
I'm sure the bulletin board helps a lot (haven't really paid attention to the "XP" I've been earning toward it tbh) but it was a nice surprise to see that finishing out the cooking sub-board got me the string light rewards!

From my understanding, it was supposed to kick you (with a warning) if the server had little to no people on it. To help with server stability. But... yeah, def needs tweaking or balancing-- or to figure out what the problem is, for the reasons I mentioned above.

There was a short period of time where the service was disrupted. During this time, if you completed a bundle or daily quest, there was a chance you didn't get the Lunar XP. Over the next few days, we'll be automatically granting back the Lunar XP that players missed from Bundles.

For Daily Quests: because the system was down, some players may have missed up to two days of rewards. To make sure everyone is covered, we're granting all players 200 Lunar XP and 12 Tailor Tickets, regardless of how much you personally missed.

All you need to do is login between now and Thursday, December 18th to claim the rewards.

We’re also aware of an issue where the Tailor Tickets from the Daily Quest grant may not be immediately visible in some players balances. The team is actively working on resolving this separately. The Lunar XP portion of the grant should still be awarded as expected when you log in during the claim window. We’ll share an update as soon as the Tailor Ticket display issue is resolved.

It depends. Certain areas there's been an improvement but playing on PC is definitely a step up from Switch from what I've heard. But it still has its issues. Killima is getting very laggy for me with each update, but then again I play on laptop.

yes, big yes. I had a laptop for a few years during my first year of college and later for gaming and a cooling pad is a big help. It's better to use it on a smooth service, too, to help with airflow - a surface w/o any padding (in my experience, this helped).

Yeah I had the same experience. Even just having a browser open will get it quite warm. I would turn the fan on higher on mine - it was noiser but helped a lot with keeping it cool.

Yeah if your laptop lets you change fan speed, I found that helped a lot. Not doable if you're in an environment where you need to be quiet since a running fan can get loud, but I found it helped with cooling.

I literally haven't played a less rewarding "battle pass" system in my gaming career. There's usually this urge to purchase the premium each & every level in most battle passes because you see what you just got with the free track, but you also see what you COULD have gotten if you purchased the premium track. Is it a tactic? Probably? I dunno, ask someone who majored in marketing.

The fact that every few levels as a free player you miss out on getting anything for 2 days. But have to make sure you are still doing your daily quests, is just rage inducing. It in no way makes me want to purchase a premium pass filled with cosmetic items that I genuinely don't want.

12 days of winterlights was hinted at in the patch notes with the mention of bonus xp days and they did put in both a fix to a couple of the server density issues while increasing present drop rate - so not really about adding anything to the game besides log in rewards and a mystery gift sale + bonus (thay may have already been present and time gated like the last premium outfit of the patch.

Having previously free (well via events to get us to boost engagement with palia across the internet) plushies have one of their returns (first time back for nibbles) as rewards for purchasing mystery outfit gifts is.... something and im undecided on how I feel about it.

It sounds as though they are trying to work out how to impliment transparency for the windows. I'm still shocked they released the home lines before figuring it out because it's such a huge issue. Not just an aesthetic one but having no natural light come into a room is pretty terrible. so we're about 240 hours in (started an hour late and assuming they pulled the numbers before lunch) we have passed 500k and we have about 835 hours left
3,000,000-500,000 = 2,500,000 / 835 = 2,995 snowmen per hour to reach the goal

Some unexpected lagging/stuttering can be caused by your daily tasks being pinned. If this applies to you, try unpinning them to see if this resolves. If you don't have your daily tasks pinned, you can always submit a support ticket to document your experience. There aren't many player-side workarounds to address lag in the game.

What am I missing with accomplishments? It says I have 296/311 which means I'm missing 15. But I went through my accomplishments and made a list of everything I'm missing and there's only 12 that I have not gotten. I made sure to count all tiers of achievements (for example I still need housewarming hero 3, 4, and 5) and it just doesn't add up. Are there accomplishments that aren't on the list for some reason or am I missing something?

There’s a few hidden achievements. I know one is collecting all the regular potato pods, and you also get two from the tower as well. Those might be the ones you’re missing

There’s one for finishing the tower and then there’s one for completing the tower quickly (under 20 minutes). Depending on what year you started playing Palia in, they got rid of the Winterlights Sleuth achievement this year, so if you weren’t around then, your achievements will only be 310/311

You’ll be able to buy the recipes for the new tints at different guild stores (e.g Olive tint recipe is from Ashura’s guild store).
You’re then able to craft the tints at your Tint Crafter (previously the modification table).
Then in edit mode (click left ctrl on PC), hover over a modifiable item and you’ll be prompted to either apply a tint or pick up the item

If the tints are showing as locked when you try to tint an item, its because you haven’t crafted them yet.

Timed featuring using the housing tickets can be useful -- a lot of folks are also part of other discord servers that help each other get votes on their plots. This could be useful for you if the timed featuring isn't getting the amount you want. Also, there is the home reactions channel here which a lot of folks post their plot name and desired vote into! This could help garner a few votes as well.

If you sneak up on them and have dispel arrows you can get them in 3 shots

run up to azure chapaa so it makes copies. Shoot any of them; the copies will disappear and the original one will become dazed and will not be moving so you can easily shoot it down

If you don’t have dispel arrows, use slowdown. Once it makes copies only the original one will be slowed down
